Great to hear this song again,I was just 10 years old when this came out in 1960. Back in those days you could understand every word of the song, unlike the modern rubbish that they turn out today. RIP Adam.
Was probably in the audience....... Marilyn & I were standing at a bus stop in Hythe, both dressed in identical clothes, this sports car stopped to ask the way to the Theatre in Folkestone! We told him but like a couple of dump struck girls didn't tell him that's where we were going....... how sad is that!!! Open topped car too.... amazing, remember it so well. Loved Adam Faith!
He was one of the few British artists I liked at that time, credit to John Barry's delicate and very touching accompaniment as well. Lovely to see this.
I saw Adam way way back in the day ~ and he was wearing this leather jacket (windbreaker) which was a lovely baby-blue colour ! On the same bill that night was Emile Ford with his group The Checkmates (What Do You Wanna Make Those Eyes At Me For?). G R E A T ! !

This clip is from "Sunday Night at the London Palladium". There was a full orchestra in the pit in front of the stage. The full recording is available on You Tube.
like to know from where this comes from. Good quality, so probably ITV, as BBC wiped or telerecorded. Got all his records, but record player don't work. Saw him live at recording of BBC radio show. The great John Barry went on to greater things.
Buddy (inspired by black performers he knew) inspired a lot of people,l to start up with that style, amazing really. Bands with no singers yet a started copying The Shadows' hits. Look at the skills they all began to acquire later.

A wonderful trip back in time with this cute little tune. Hard to believe this was 57 years ago in 2017.
Reminds me of Reg Trotter in Only Fools and Horses 🤣🤣
So many lovely songs and people, almost all of them gone now in 2015.

My late friend wrote this, Johnny Worth (les vandyke) what a great guy he was.
Seen him and John Barry at the Empire Newcastle in about 1960 .Brilliant show.
Before the Beatles this was the sound of British pop.
And what crap it was. We were waiting for them and thank god the Beatles came along.

John Barry supposedly conducting when the main orchestration is for violins that can't be seen anywhere.

Henry: Yes, anyone who knows music will know it's a fake. The post below doesn't notice the the pit orchestra is behind JB !!

This would be great if it wasn't distorted.
It is a very old early video recording from 60 years ago ...
From the pen of Les Vandyke & Perry Ford
He learnt that wink from Connie Francis, apparently.
Sunday Night at the London Palladium?
who are the guitarists
John Barry's lead guitarist was Vic Flick.
Poor Buddy Holley!
Looks like Big jim Sullivan on guitar......
Del Boy

Another utter rip off of Buddy Holly, but who gives a shit? It's a great song, well performed and that's all that matters really.
