It worked! On a Disco Sport 2017. Gosh I struggled putting back that white cap. Took me probably good 45’ to figure it out … for those trying it for the first time it is slanted on an angle, start from the bottom hook and work way up, hopefully you wont be as miserable as me.. thanks for the video!!
I have a Discovery Sport myself and after watching your air filter installation video, I decided to order one from Amazon. The dealer and local repair shops wanted to charge me $250 for this very simple job. Thanks a lot for making these videos, you saved my wallet!

@@ZipZapDIY That's the prices we get here in New York City repair shops. Looks like I have to take matters into my own hands. You made it look very simple and I was hesitant on working on my car since it's a complex European car.
@@ZipZapDIY So I got the air filter finally. But when I popped the hood, the air box itself is positioned differently and there is a silver cuff that goes around the pipe connected to the airbox. My car is a 2018 model year. From what I understand it has the ingeninium engine, and not the EcoBoost. Maybe 2016 was the year it had an EcoBoost
I have the 2016, I thought the change was in 2015.. ?

Thanks for uploading. My Discovery Sport is a 2015 model and RHD. The instructions work although the filter housing is on the right as you look into the footwell. In addition the cover on mine was black but fixings identical. A bit of a faff but only took maybe 15 minutes in total. Filter was dirty and OEM from factory so 9 years of accumulated dust and dirt. New filter should make a difference!
Would you believe the LR dealer in West Palm Beach quoted me nearly $600 for this???
It was a bit of a pain in the backside, but got 'er done for about 18 bucks and a half hour of time!
I figure I paid myself $1000 bucks an hour. I took that thousand bucks and bought myself something nice.
My wife hasn't wrapped her head around it quite yet, but I think she's getting over it :)

I got as far as the white cover. But there is a connector with two red wires on both ends blocking the middle tab on the white cover. It won’t allow it to flip open. I’m able to remove the bottom connector but I can’t remove the top connector. How did you work around that?

Be prepared to see an idiotic design. Awkward doesn't describe it, the guy who designed the position of the pollen filter was obviously a sarcastic individual. I managed to get the filter out and found that it was in a very dirty condition. However, when I examined the original filter it was clear that it was far superior in quality to the NAPA filter I had purchased as a replacement. Trying to locate the NAPA filter into the pocket would have damaged it. Warm soapy water was the answer to clean the original filter, just keep replenishing the water until the water remains clean, allow it to completely dry and hey presto, the filter is ready to be replaced. Remember the air direction points toward the cabin. Have fun.
Your video is excellent, very detailed BUT the Land Rover design is about the worst I've ever seen. I've been in some pretty cramped workspaces before, but this is a whole new level. LR's reputation for poor quality is well earned.

Does anyone know where I could get new clips? Last time I got it replaced at the dealership my car came back with no clips, and they refused to replace them so this time around I decided to do my own replacement but my panel is missing all clips

Probably. Maybe get your car detailed on the inside too so they clean any stink out of the carpet
