YESSS, finally a deciduous pruning!! I've been curious when to get my deciduous trees pruned!

Nice the way you pruned the 2 maples in order to conserve water in their pots. Nice tour of the trees growing. Month of May no rain and into June. Had rain one day, but, just light and not enough to get the ground under the trees wet. Better than nothing. Hopefully the rain will come for you.

It’s always interesting learning your different pruning strategies from full unrestricted growth before pruning to today’s early branch selection. Thanks, keep growing

The trident maple has a beautiful pot! Nice pruning to both maples. Hands folded and fingers crossed for rain. 🌧️🌧️🌧️

It was great to see. I thought I had lost my peach tree. It has come back, so I look forward to trying this on her next summer. Will be wonderful to see if I succeed in having a bonzi.

@Nigel Saunders, The Bonsai Zone I hope summer will be good next season, too. We have too much rain meant to be winter now, but it has been wet and mild. insects and pests are still enjoying my plants.

Deciduous pruning, my favorite! Root pruning is a close second.

Great work on your 2 little maples. I have 2 tridents, one of which is an air layer off of the parent tree. Neither have been pruned at all this year, and both are wildly super vigorous. Is too late to get 2 more air layers started? Each tree is about 5 feet tall.

at 26:15 timestamp : I am happy to see your wisteria (for me its very first time) Nigel sir. In previous "Repotting My Young Banyan Tree" premier only I was asking you to grow wisteria. Then you replied that "I already have one, its in progress. It survived a recent drastic root work...!!" :)

It did not rain in my area in Germany for 4 weeks. Is lack of rain a more general issue in the northern hemisphere? If I run out of rain water I generate clear water from the tap with the help of a reverse osmosis system. Out of 100 liters tap water I get about 40 liters clear water and 60 with minerals etc I use for plants in the garden. Maybe interesting for you?
