I've had "pop up visions" a few times of I can only assume and know now of my TF and I in romantic situations a few times one of which was marriage. How is this different from just having an attachment/projection onto the person? You could just as easily make the argument that thinking of someone involuntarily and wanting to be closer to them is unhealthy or even a kind of immature obsession. This is not criticism I’m genuinely curious
It's up to you to do the healing work to figure that out. As you heal you'll either realize it was a karmic lesson you needed to learn detach and grow from it. Very poorly put together. I use to get sudden thoughts, images, and strong emotional & physical reactions when waking up from a nap. They were very strong and didn't feel like I initiated it. At first I embraced them, but they happened so frequently that they became very disturbing. I've tried rejecting them and they have gradually reduced in both frequency and intensity.
