It seems super noisy to the touch. Not sure if that’s just the mic picking it up but it sounds loud. Is that true and any idea if that quotes down as everything gets worn in a bit?
That is normal for any light weight metal chassis, AR tube for-ends, etc. When it's all set up the sound is deadened a bit but they are a little more noisy than say a full carbon or synthetic stock. I put some gaffer's tape on mine to dampen the noise of stuff clanking against it and it's just as quiet as my synthetics. Overall the noise is a non-issue unless you reallllllly nit pick.
We are in Somerset, PA. Let me know if you would like to stop by. Always better to make and appointment. We have both Magnesium and Aluminum in stock to show you.
I like both, I think the element is more of a precision chassis (less flexing) and the MDT more suited for cold weather with the carbon For-end. I just mentioned your question in the podcast that will post tomorrow. Thank you.
The 26 Hnt26 stands for 26 oz. I think with a REM 700 short action it’s closer to 30 oz so the difference in weight between the two is negligible. The big deciding factor is always what do you intend to use it for?

What do you think of this chassis compared to the MDT HNT26?
