- Tech industry jobs are among the best careers for young people to build economic security, prestige, and work-life balance. But these highly sought-after jobs are concentrated into a handful of cities in the U.S. In this video I’ll be ranking the the top 10 tech cities and going over their Pros and Cons.
The criteria used in my rankings are the following: number of jobs, cost of living, quality of life, anchor companies, startup ecosystem, and some assignment to future trajectory of the city - if it’s trending in an overall positive or negative direction.

A bunch of cities like Boston, Atlanta, Dallas, and San Jose should’ve been on here, or had honorable mentions at the very least.
Great overview. Thank you.
Great list! Thank you
great video, really deserves more view!
Awesome video thank you!
The chapters in your video should be titled according to what they are (the city, not the number).
This hugely improves your videos performance in Google search.
I think there has to be multiple lists starting with single pros and married pros, then divide each into 2 sub categories; (under 40 and over 40 or something like to cover all major groups.
In what universe is Chicago “as expensive” as LA? 🙃🙃

Seriously!
You forgot Dallas & Atlanta lol😅
Re Austin, "Good luck buying a house" ... if it's challenging from your perspective, then maybe you should try going into the office a little more to advance your career and bump your pay for more affordability. 🙂
What about Boston - Silicon valley? It should have been on the list because that's where most of the big tech companies are.
Silicone valley is San Francisco
Ok! Thanks for the education
Silicon valley overrated. Seattle has no income tax
Boston ??? It has much more companies than Seattle should be in top 5
Atlanta should have been on this list
I don’t wanna be shot down by gang members)
@@buzzlighter3876that’s everywhere in America unfortunately
yep, Georgia Tech area specifically basically areas with big tech colleges could be their own list like Ann Arbor for UofM based startups
Yeah but it’s not safe to live there from what I heard 😂
Fully urban???
as opposed to semi-urban/suburban or somewhere like Ann Arbor where the UofM area is a city but move a few minutes away and you end up in either the woods or in a farm with confederate flag holding assholes who will want to gun you down if you look or think differently than them while Ann Arbor itself is a hardcore blue city with extremely nice people
What does Fully Urban mean?
Miami is trash 😂
how so
@@kevingrenouiller7716 i lived there many years. I know.
@@mauricev8075 I'm french with a American passport I had a project to go work there 🥲 mind telling me pro and cons 🥲
@@mauricev8075 trash is general or for Tech?
