And then news of a solo album and a lawsuit... It was hard to not feel lied to and angry, but it wasn't at EXO, cause I knew SM/managers likely encouraged them to say those things & maybe the members (up until a point) honestly believed them~ But I also knew that EXO would feel like they failed to keep their promise to protect our smile again; they honestly just want people to be happy & peaceful, especially their precious EXO-Ls... Also keep in mind, members leaving or dating scandals, just one of those things was enough to bring down other kpop groups & EXO had several in a short span of time!~ EXO didn't have to, but they felt responsible for the fear and unease fans felt, because no one honestly knew if EXO would survive all that. Fansites left, fans left or fought each other, antis started whispering... But mostly EXO-Ls fought to let the world know we weren't going to let EXO go.~
I have a lot of respect for exo and exo-ls who stayed and got threw all of this😭💖 i am just hoping that thing will be better from now on for both exo and exo-l💜 They are honeslty a great group and i wish them all the best💖

Somewhere in the middle of all that Baekhyun had a dating scandal with SNSD Taeyeon and that was a BIG one. Taeyeon got a lot of threats etc... After that it looked like it would get better. They were appearing on varieties and even had a comeback as 10 members... but then... At Tao's last concert a lot of fans recognized the symptoms... Members crying left and right, everybody being very emotional, Tao apologizing a lot. A lot of fans figured it out from that and sure enough, soon afterwards Tao left the group officially! Fans were really on edge after that. A lot of fans were sure that it was only a matter of time until Lay leaves. Members were crying on stage a LOT. Fans were crying at concerts, it was a sad time! I hope someday you'll see the Tokyo Dome version of this one. :) They were so overwhelmed because it was their first Tokyo Dome experience. I think they question or find the love and success they receive unbelievable sometimes because they became famous quite fast. A lot of groups don't attain commercial and critical success, and yet they did early on... so it's like them asking, why them? They're clumsy, they aren't perfect, so why them out of all the groups? It's a different perspective when you endured for a long time without succeeding, you probably begin thinking "I deserve it too, after all the perseverance." None of the two sides are bad though, just saying I think that's what they think of when they look back on their idol experience. In an ideal and fair world, everyone who worked hard and worked on their talents would be successful. Also with the song, they probably felt more apologetic and more thankful towards the fans because the fans stayed. It's very easy to turn off watching or supporting a group when it becomes too much trouble (and that's exactly how it is in kpop fandoms these days with all the issues and fanwars that used to not be so pronounced), yet when they come back they always get better results than the last.
I will most likly watch it then😊💖 I hope they realize how much they deserve their succses and that they dont need to be prefect💖 I see your point in the fanwars and stuff and fint it sad that we cant just love what we love without complicating things... You should react to the Chinese version of Promise. The Korean version is about the fans (EXO-L) but the Chinese version, if you really read and understand the English translation is about the ex-members. The Chinese one is far more sadder than the Korean one.
