Food Sample Making Kit Hiyashi Chuka

Food sample making kit series 'Sample'n Cooking'. This time, I made soy Hiyashi Chuka(Hiyashi Chuka is a kind of cold noodles and various toppings(egg crepe strips, cucumber, ham and so on). This kit uses egg crepe strips, cucumber, ham, Chinese jellyfish and red pickled ginger. It is a very typical noodle dish served during the summer in Japan. “Hiyashi Chuka” literally means “chilled Chinese” but it is a Japan origin dish emerged about 80 years ago. The noodles and the other ingredients are made of wax, soup is made of gelatin. This isn't edible, fake food(can not eat). These food samples uses for menu sample by the most of restaurants in Japan. Food samples can carry more detailed information about the menu than simple text menu or photo menu. It's one of Japanese culture. I want to get and show you the techniques of making food samples. I bought it at Ganso Shokuhin Sample-ya, Tokyo Sky Tree Town and it costs about 2100 yen(17 USD).
