    I don’t see any reason Why we shouldn’t try and move JT Compher this season, even if we have to retain 25%. We’re already crowded at the center position, and we are gonna need to make room for Danielson next season. Plus, Compher is a high end 3C on a good amount of teams. Maybe Winnipeg, or Vancouver now that Miller is out. I feel like we could get some good value for him, especially if we retain some salary, and it’ll clear out room for our prospects.

      I would say try compher on left wing. But Lalonde probably ends up playing him on def. Joking of course. I wouldn’t trade compher till the fire the coach

    • @seguinryan
      @seguinryan หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Having him at 3C is fine, but if someone comes calling about him then sure. I wouldn't retain on him.
      Even if he moves to RW when Danielson comes up, he'll be fine.

      Well, given how he’s torpedo’d his own value this season, it’s gonna be hard to move him.

      That would be alright with me! We haven't had a top 3 pick since 1990! Detroit has had terrible lottery luck in the draft.

    Are the Griffins trying to use the same system as he Red Wings?

  • @WhiteMonkey66Fla

    With the Red Wings season rapidly going down the toilet I think the best solution for the goalie problem will end up being trading Lyon because he has some value. Hudson can play out his contract in Detroit leaving Cossa and Campbell in Grand Rapids.

      I was saying that, if you played the NHL players against the Prospects and you will see who is ready for the next Step. Should be a good thing every Camp by playing each other 3 or 4 times to see what you have before FA signings.

      Yzerman is doing all the right things long term, the problem has been the free agency signings, especially the defenceman.

      Players, not stars. Not one player Yzerman has drafted projects to be a top 20 player in the league. Respectable every day players, aplenty. Not stars.

    I'll bet that the Griffins would give the Wings a run for the money and likely beat them..... That's how embarrassing I think the Wings are playing at this time. I don't know exactly what protocol is re: waivers or letting somebody go or a trade during the regular season, but I think the Wings have several players they can consider to let them sit the bench or get them at least temporarily off the roster, and we should consider bringing up some of those kids. Don't know what Stevie Y's problem is about that notion, but he better think about losing his job if he doesn't get with the best program, not the Yzerplan. The Yzerplan has not worked, and the patient loyalist fans of this nonsense is pathetic to say the least.

    • @gibby237
      @gibby237 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's absurd. The Wings would beat the Griffins by a ten-spot going away. You don't have any idea how much better the average player is in the NHL compared to the AHL.
