I think it may be because Arquette failing through the floor was initially more confusing than funny. WCW in 2000 was so nonsensical that for all we knew that was supposed to happen.
That's called mixing your sayings and not making sense....too many generals who never been in a war....too many cooks in the kitchen...the two have to be a saying already for it to make sense... Bobby the brain really didn't have any brains and just repeated what the idiot writers told him to say. So quoting him makes you sound just as dum...
Arquette showing up for the climactic show-ending spot, falling through the goddamn floor and everyone just moving on like nothing happened might be the funniest thing I've ever seen in pro wrestling
“Seeing as Flair is having a break in the corner.” I don’t know why but that along with the image of Flair sitting in the corner made me laugh so hard 😂
This actually made me sad, awareness of how WCW from being the best wrestling company in the world turned into... this, I don't even have enough and proper offensive word to describe that.
That look on Tony Schiavone's face really says it all. I remember watching this years ago. All that damn good talent. So much more then they would even need to put on a good show, but WWE was white hot at this point. They were trying to fight fire with fire, when they should have been reestablishing their product.
I believe Tony said he was making his resume at this point if you watch the WCW 2000 shows you can definitely see that Tony has completely given up and rightfully so
13:43 I'm here to defend this. The good thing about this show is that over 20 years later we get to listen to your hilarious reactions. That alone makes it all worth it.
To be fair there are far less deserving entries already inducted. Ryan with this channel is reigniting a lot of fans interest with his content and no doubt generating more customers for the WWE network in the process.
Thank you thank you thank you for blowing the dust off this time in wcw, I’m so grateful for you not only putting yourself through this but explaining it… 😍
Genius idea! A lot know about stuff like the fingerpoke of doom or the Warrior - Hogan match. However there are so many insane ideas and spots throughout late WCW, that you will highlight a lot of stuff people have forgotten. Like Arquette falling through the floor. Haven't seen it before. It's hilarious!
Another awesome upload from the greatest wrestling channel on the planet! An awesome idea and this way we get to,ironically, get to see Thunder being covered by its highlights. Which paradoxically are also it’s low lights.
Awesome video buddy 💯 I remember watching this episode of Thunder seeing the Macho Man make an appearance and David Arquette falling through the ramp way everything was classic WCW 2000 😁
haven't watched this yet. even if i end up not liking it i have mad love for the hustle. you do what you gotta to keep the page relevant and it's awesome.
The fact that "fans" had the audacity to be mad/complain about the title being put on Arquette during this period is still beyond me. It's like having a yard covered with trash and then flipping out when someone throws a gum wrapper on the pile.
just recently found your channel and this episode popped up in suggestions. LOVE IT! this was 1 of the 3 episodes of Thunder I ever watched as a kid/teen 😂 (the 1st being the one u actually mentioned being the WORST Thunder show ever) being a wrestling fan in Jr high and not having cable but watching recorded episodes thanks to my best frnd every tues of RAW N NITRO had me pretty well up to date BUT as I mentioned only ever saw Thunder 3 times and what my luck they were the worst ones ever😂 so I nvr cared to watch em and for obviously good reason and this vindicated my decision is just ironic yet absolutely hilarious ! thank u for this and plan to binge ur channel (as I'll be home starting today for the rest of the week due to an NON WRESTLING injury ) can't stop watching arquette fallin thru 😂😂😂😂
Loved this first episode would love to see you cover Russo's world title win and the week that he held it. That is honestly for me the biggest blunder WCW made
I really, really want to recommend the November 8th, 1999 episode of WCW Nitro. It has a lot of throwaway matches, a Kimberly/David Flair horror movie segment that runs throughout the show, Seven debut and Bam Bam Bigaelow somehow gets counted out of a FALLS COUNT ANYWHERE match. It's peak Russo madness and I would love to see you cover it. Keep up the good work!
I can't remember, have you already done an episode about WCW crossing over with Baywatch? How the episode of Baywatch got delayed by a year and that was part of the reason that WCW kept the horrible unentertaining storyline going as long as it did, so it would still make sense when the TV show aired
I loved WCW back around 97-99 when it was on TNT but stopped watching it around this time but I’d check in from to time and *this* was exactly the type of schlock that I’d see - I’d never have a clue what I was looking at 😂
For real. Mike Awesome was huge and could absolutely go in the ring. But instead of having him put on great matches Russo made him the "Fat Chick Thriller" and "That 70s Guy"
hilarious i was just watching that kevin nash shoot re: booking Thunder last night randomly, and then you go and upload this. Well played! and Thanks for all the great content!
Yeah he blundered himself from the 2s in the WWF to consistent 5's and 6's even reaching 8's. Numbers that weren't seen before and really quickly disappeared after he left
WCW Thunder had precisely ONE thing going for it...bringing some live wrestling action to my hometown of Long Beach, CA back in like 2000. They, uh, paved the way for New Japan to show up here nearly 20 years later? I dunno, but anyway...thanks for starting this series!
My GOD! Revisiting this Era of WCW is a chore! What bunch of Bollocks to remind me of how much I despise Vince Russo's incomprehensible stupidity and incompetence in running a wrestling show. Say what you want about Modern Era WWE, but CLEARLY Vince McMahon was the guy who kept Russo in check so ideas like this didn't happen. That said...I LAUGHED my arse off as the cluster f**k was drawing to a close when you pointed out David Arquette falling through the floor!!!!
I really never understood Billy Kidman’s main event push in WCW… he was a great wrestler but he had no business being in the ring with the likes of Hogan and Flair…
I love how Macho Man doesn't even swing his arms for his axe handle he just holds them up and everyone runs into it
Someone had to...
Yes, YES! This is my type of bollocks! Great stuff/commiserations 😃
I still haven't recovered....
OSW in da house!
You guys should review eachothers reviews
The forbidden door of youtube is open
Scott Hall puked on Nitro, did he "CHUNDER on BLUNDER" as well? 🤢🤮😂
Love it. The twist ending of Arquette falling through the stage and being completely ignored had me completely rolling.
That David Arquette spot was magnificent, why have I never seen or heard of this before? That was Shockmaster levels of funniness 😂🤣😂🤣
It was funnier than Shockmaster IMO.
Absolutely! That was so funny what a great start to a Monday morning
I think it may be because Arquette failing through the floor was initially more confusing than funny. WCW in 2000 was so nonsensical that for all we knew that was supposed to happen.
@@BiggieTrismegistus Sad but true
There's a doc called you can't kill David Arquette that goes into the fully. It's either on Hulu or Amazon prime I can't remember. It's good though
I laughed out loud when David Arquette fell through the floor 🤣
Me too I woke up my cat
I woke up my wife 🤣
God damn that was funny.
Coughing up blood from laughter here. 😂😂😂
Is there a way to laugh that isn't out loud?
This Thunder basically was the format for what would become WCW Backstage Assault
Which was an assault on our intelligence
When you said “f*** no it’s in Memphis” was hilarious, had me dying love ya WB!
WB is swearing a lot more in this video. I think watching 2000 WCW does that to a man.
"Too many generals who have never been in a wrestling match." - Bobby Heenan
That's called mixing your sayings and not making sense....too many generals who never been in a war....too many cooks in the kitchen...the two have to be a saying already for it to make sense...
Bobby the brain really didn't have any brains and just repeated what the idiot writers told him to say.
So quoting him makes you sound just as dum...
I’d never seen this before. I rewound that David Arquette part 4 times and I have tears in my eyes. Best thing I’ve seen all week.
4:37 The look on Tony and Brain’s faces say it all. They have the enthusiasm of kidnapping victims.
Lmao this killed me
Schiovane looks so pissed
Honestly the look on Schivone’s face tells you everything you need to know about WCW at that time.
Like his look on Dynamite yesterday
WCW 2000 was screwball comedy
Still better than aew and that's not saying much
I knew latter-day WCW was a total clusterfuck, but... this was something else. Looking forward to more of these.
Rest assured, Russo left you with enough material to make as many episodes as you want.
You made my Sunday with this. I was laughing throughout but that Arquette blunder almost had me pissing myself. Thanks for doing what you do!
The Vince Russo scream did it for me 🤣
"I'm sure someone there had a hat"
**immediately cut to Russo standing in front of Bagwell who is wearing a red had** 😂😂😂😂😂
The fact that they're holding a "New York Rules" show and it's not *in* New York, sets the tone pretty well.
This was doomed from the start.
I was dying at Arquette falling through the stage
One episode in, and this whole “it not being weekly” thing is already a benefit for WrestlingBios.
I started laughing at the Arquette bit so hard that my wife had to shout through and ask if I was alright haha
Arquette showing up for the climactic show-ending spot, falling through the goddamn floor and everyone just moving on like nothing happened might be the funniest thing I've ever seen in pro wrestling
Thank you for suffering for our entertainment. I laughed so hard at Arquette falling through the hole on the stage.
Damn that David Arquette falling through the floor ending. Priceless 😂
David falling throw the stage killed me lol
you keep blessing us with the Jam. Thank you Brother
Just recently discovered you, after this video I'm gonna binge watch your videos instead of watch the pro bowl, great content.
Damn..... you have a loooooooong catch-up ahead of you then, plus some brilliant Reliving The War episodes to get through!!
I'm so happy TH-cam dropped Wrestling Bios into my recommended videos one day

@@legitheatwrestlingshow1789 Make sure you start Reliving the War from the beginning though.
“A dead horse that I could flog over and over again” love that 😂
Thanks for sharing that David Arquette botch. For 20 odd years I thought I had hallucinated that 😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
I thought I hallucinated all of WCW 2000
“Seeing as Flair is having a break in the corner.”
I don’t know why but that along with the image of Flair sitting in the corner made me laugh so hard 😂
This actually made me sad, awareness of how WCW from being the best wrestling company in the world turned into... this, I don't even have enough and proper offensive word to describe that.
It amazes me just how fast it all fell apart.
@@Hedgehobbit It fell apart cause Eric is stupid, Russo is stupid, too many old geezers with creative control.
We need a “that’s not gonna work for me, brother” shirt
Usually I don’t wear wrestling tshirts but I would wear that if it was tasteful
Doing the J O B don't work for me, brother
It's got to be a yellow shirt with the red Hulkamania font and then we're talking business

If late '90s WCW could be summed up in one thing, it would be Arquette falling through the floor.
10:07 Did not see that coming, LMAO😆DDP hugging Kimberly and then smashing her head with the guitar is underrated comedy
Thank you thank you thank you for blowing the dust off this time in wcw, I’m so grateful for you not only putting yourself through this but explaining it… 😍

A resounding success, man I was laughing multiple times. Definitely another highlight to look forward to from your channel! 😃
Thank you for all the great content WB!
I recommended this episode! A pure car crash piece of television from start to finish.
If there's ever a WWE version of this we need to see Vince McMahon's Golden Egg.
I feel like we need a “That Doesn’t Work for Me Brother” t shirt hahaha. I loved this review and look forward to more episodes of Blunder. Haha
it still eludes me to this day why WCW went out of business...
