Nice video Steve, wish I'd known about the 'boom' part years ago when fishing with Fenland Match Group on 10mile bank, would have lessoned the amount of tangles I used to get. Pity I had all of my Billy Lane sliders stolen with all of my tackle.

Have tried the polaris type paternoster slider never really got on with it although I did catch & it was sensitive.

Obviously you set up at home, where do you attach to the main line, would it be just above the bulk with loop to loop

I set up at home but just leave all on the line and just remove the float
The bulk have few spare which can attach loop to loop and hide inside the olivettes

    morning steve.
when casting with slider do you cast clipped up or just normal cast and feather it down.
great video, with good clear advise.
    thanks mate..

      Many thanks mate
Most of the time I just cast/feather in. Some instances I will clip up if required but prefer not to.
      Thanks
      Steve

Is that the correct way to mount the Olivette on the line with the narrow part facing towards the hook? I have always had the heavy part facing the hook.

I always have it that way on slider as the float sits top the rounded heavier end, when casting off bulk

More videos will be about soon. Just wanted the first few trips of new season to relax and recharge after the last few months. Being able be on bank with couple mates has been great.
I’ve eaten enough shot n line to send me doolallytap, but apparently I’m already that so no harm done lol
Take care pal all the best

Just one thing I didn’t quite get what you meant about clipping the plummet, as in where exactly did you mean on the line or the swivel?

    • @stevesfishingchannel2507
      @stevesfishingchannel2507  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

You can buy clip on plummets, either place over the swivel or I slide one the shot down and place over that.
