Howdy, Scavengers! I know I said the next video up would be a scrap run. Unfortunately the scrap yards server/system went down yesterday and I was unable to offload. That being said, I ran home unladed so I could get out there and get this one up for y’all. Next video SHOULD be a scrap run.
Can't remember what we called those wire twisting tools in the AF but those are used in the military especially on flight lines to secure the mounting bolts on the black boxes for the various equipment so the bolts that lock them down don't back off and loosen from the vibrations during flight. They are used in aviation in general and probably in high performance race cars I assume I would think in certain situation. I was an Inertial Navigation Systems technician and used it daily. You constantly removed and replaced black boxes in your navigational and all the other systems constantly for testing and repair. Brings back a lot of memories seeing those!
They're commonly called "safety wire pliers". Yes, used in the Air Force and probably NASA to safety wire bolts and nuts so they won't back out in flight. Race cars too I would think.
hey Mike I finally got my wife saying scrapity scrap scrap and owwwwww because I watch your videos so much every day she can't help but hear him LOL you're a funny dude man thumbs up!!!!!
To answer your question, The mannequin's name from the 1987 first film is "Emmy" and from the second film is: Jessie". There are several films with that name, they came out in 1926, 1933, 1935, 1937, 1987 and 1991, Respectively and in order.
Can find some good bargain on canning lids and flats at discount stores, the ones that sell Amazon returns and other store returns. I see them every single time I go and they must be going cheap because they always have them.
I hope you are happy.. .you made me cry!!! When you saw that mannequin....that was too funny! I laughed to the point of crying and almost waking my hubs!
OMG! I would love to find a score like those canning jar lids and rings. I do a lot of canning and they are getting expensive and sometimes hard to find.
Your so funny talking Spanish.!! I learned living in Spain. Stay safe out there Mike!!! Please go easy on your knees, they don't last forever!! Angel from Norfolk VA.
Mike your comment about the New Zealand golf club “KIWIS “and family living here certainly made me lean forward and smile from a kiwi who’s a fan mate you are the best down to earth guy I know appreciate you from🇳🇿💯😂😂😂
When you found that tool bag full of stuff and you started to pick though it I was saying take the bag take the whole bag just take the whole thing then you picked the whole bag out of the dumpster. I would like to see what all was in the bag. GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL WHO READ THIS AMEN. Happy New year
Hi mike. Way to go. Those canning lids, it's kind of like gold out there. Millions of people are looking for them so they can scan their food. Please stay safe and take care. 👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️😎😎😎
During the pandemic those caning rings and lids were impossible to find. All kitchenaid attachments fit every year kitchenaid mixer ever made. Mike you always find the most interesting stuff. 😊
Those canning rings are an item that countless people have been scrounging to find. There was/is a nationwide shortage after the rona hit and folks were prepping and canning. 👀
@@scottbormann2765 - ALL of it was a problem because people were and still are hoarding the stuff. In my area, we couldn’t find ANY mason jars, lids *or rings* …. I’ve canned everything from venison to vegetables out of my garden annually for over 40 years, and can attest to the fact that even common pressure canners were extremely difficult to find. And while the scarcity may have eased just a bit, none of it lasts long on the store shelves. Word gets around and it gets snapped up in no time.
@@scottbormann2765 Yep. Plus, the rings come off once it's been canned and gets used again, doesn't stay on the jar during storage, which most people don't realize. The lids are useable once, MAYBE twice if you get lucky. It's crazy how expensive a little disc of metal is in stores, even now!
Wash those canning rings and sell on Amazon or Ebay those things had become expensive to buy and they created a shortage on them to run up the price of them and the quart and pint canning jars they go on......
Those first aid boxes that you found is something that I would not scrap. Suggestion....clean up and sanitize, then fill as find first aid stuff on sale...keep one in your scrap area and one in your bathroom, you said you have a small one in your truck. Safety first. Yes, I am part of the occupational health and safety where I work.
Lids Galore - Great Score and the Boxes were Heavy ! Its getting very Stiff around here ! Lets Celebrate Christmas in the Dumpster - hey - You are Funny Guy - we love it ! Today was a great score for you young Mike I really enjoy seeing your success👍👍 Pray for your continued success I’m glad to see somebody so diligent and recycling materials. That definitely can be reused. !!!
I would have broke out a bag and gathered the jar rings to sell to those who use them and I would also keep a lot of them to use myself. Those are gold!
Mike, I see the freon canisters in the first dumpster in this video. I know scrap yards do not want them for fear of them being under pressure. Can you not take a cutoff wheel and cut them open so the yard will take them. I know they are often heavy so it may be worth it

Your so funny talking Spanish.!! I learned living in Spain. Stay safe out there Mike!!! Please go easy on your knees, they don't last forever!! Angel from Norfolk VA.

I need those lids for my moonshine Jars
You could sell or donate the cage to rescue center

Those jar lids great find. I hunted for months to find some at store for canning.

Love it when I’m watching a video of your and I get notified you’ve got a new video.
During the pandemic those caning rings and lids were impossible to find. All kitchenaid attachments fit every year kitchenaid mixer ever made. Mike you always find the most interesting stuff. 😊
Even though supply chains have improved... the pandemic still rages. Thousands get infected and reinfected in my state daily.
Poor Bridget! Dumped but then allaluja Mike picks her up and renewed her faith in humanity. ❤️💙
The white lids are specific to water bath canning! So sad to see them in there.
Those funky looking pliers are for aviation and used to tie safety wire to bolts. One insane find. I would love to have some of my own.
I love your enthusiasm, mate. Much respect from Down Under 👍🇦🇺
Honey ! I found some new yard art ! Meet Bridget lol . Sell those safety wire “ pliers “ . Thanks for the great ride along !
Good evening Mike...I appreciate those words in Spanish!!! From Spain I wish you a happy year 2023 full of good searches!!!
Those chairs arenotorious for splitting in the seat and pinching you in the NARDS!
Those are called safety wire pliers. I used them on jets in the Guard & Air Force.
Those canning rings are an item that countless people have been scrounging to find. There was/is a nationwide shortage after the rona hit and folks were prepping and canning. 👀
The rings weren't the problem, it was the lids. You can reuse the rings, the lids you couldn't.

Those first aid boxes could make for some cool small shop cabinets.
Glad to see you out there enjoying yourself Mike, it’s great entertainment while I’m back home recovering from blood clots and doing nothing!

Hi Mike and Laura,
Thanks for another video.
Some of the big light bulbs if they have a skinny glass looking rod in them that is quartz and it makes a dang good knife sharpener!!
Loved that Spiderman style landing just before the car battery dumpster.
I like watching your clips because it's entertaining and profitable. Thanks a lot Mike.
desde Bolivia saludos Mike

Lids and inserts
Thanks Mike!! I feel special
I named mine Jackie lol . Love the show !
Them lightbulbs, if they worked, might be worth more than the lights.
Yep, people want canning lids. They are in high demand.
Mike, I see the freon canisters in the first dumpster in this video. I know scrap yards do not want them for fear of them being under pressure. Can you not take a cutoff wheel and cut them open so the yard will take them. I know they are often heavy so it may be worth it
