Further proof that the stereotype of bratty kids is NOT always present and I love Kelly for highlighting these young kids with their fantastic career wishes and adventures . I personally think is fantastic oh wait I said it again; oh well.
I think it was so touching how you could see Jordan’s eyes light up when Chief Hall came out. You could tell that seeing a woman police chief made her feel even more confident about her life choices
That young lady is going to be president someday. You can just see in her eyes that she is special and meant to do this. Her mama is beaming down from heaven.
@Christina Chang God I hope not. It'd be a waste of talent in this young lady. Im retired MP and I know work in private security where I interact with law enforcement quite often. I have the utmost respect for the officers I've come in contact with especially the lady officers. It's tough enough to be a male officer, it's harder for females because society has this stereotype about women in predominantly male roles so a woman doing this job has to more confident going into a bad situation when dealing with a male "person of interest". It doesn't hurt that I've had a thing for lady cops since I was a kid either.
Reneé Hall WHAT A WOMAN!!! That was so incredibly genuine and sweet, I’m so excited to see what this level of mentorship will do. Like, this 16 year old is not only going to be chief of police for a day, their relationship will extend through her life. This is just SO SPECIAL!
They are not only going to be mentor and mentee, but they will be blessed and be friends forever! God bless you Renee, and thank you for being there for Jordan! You came at the right time when she needed you the most. It's good to know that there are some good police officers out there still. I have a cousin named Rudy who used to work in law enforcement for the city of Philadelphia, PA who was also a police officer, and is now retired. I'm going to be telling him about this story, he would love this!
I've been in law enforcement for 17 years. I'm so inspired by the Chief of Dallas. She is stunning, articulate and smart. This video really lifted my spirits during this pandemic, and most certainly made and was the highlight of my day. My hat's off to every lady who puts on a uniform everyday to protect this great country. God bless and stay safe.
Thank you for your service to your community. I am amazed at the support we get here for our service as FENZ ( Fire Emergency New Zealand). Kind regards Mike G
You go girl and you definitely have a guarding angel with you at all time but so sorry to hear of your loss so young. I was 27 and lost my dad and I still miss him to this day 20 years later.
My daughter went to SHSU for the same reason!!! Awesome school inside and out!! She decided she would need a skill to be qualified for the FBI! She is now an attorney in Dallas!!
so cool that P.C. R. Hall is willing to follow through and mentor Jordan. I look forward to the day when L.E. is so diverse that there won't have to be tension of men vs. women or a majority race over another. Our L.E. needs to reflect the community it serves.
What our children need ... good role models and mentorship. I bet more than one child saw this and dared to dream. This young lady should be so very proud of herself.
I'm a Kiwi. I am male, university educated. Ive spent most all of my adult life serving my community. Ive been military, I've been ambulance service, i've been fire service. KEY POINT!! - best teams ever are those of mixed gender! It gives us so much more range to find have the ideal resources on hand to care for others. I admit I know nothing about you Kelly other than your name through a music show some years ago. I have literally just stumbled upon you in this media. Keep pushing the boundaries for diverse, amplified capacity to support our communities to be the most awesome for people in our community, regardless of our scope of understanding.
I love Kelly and I think she’s an amazing person. One thing, just one. I wish she would let people talk more and not interrupt as much. Yet again that’s it, she’s a very kind hearted woman.
B e a u t I f u l. So heartwarming. I can just imagine that she will be a great mentor and perhaps a mother figure to this AMAZING young lady. God's love and blessings to them both.
This young lady is incredible! I’m always so inspired when I see people know who they are, but when it’s someone who hasn’t even fully entered into adulthood, it takes the inspiration to a whole different level! And the chief! What an incredible human and leader!! AND she came from Detroit! ❤️❤️❤️ I spent 4 years living in that city and absolutely loved having had that experience!
in 1957 my mom was 17 yrs old - she applied and got to try to be squadronleader for a whole week at the nearest military airfield - This is very similar. good for you
Chief Hall is the true definition of a leader - find people who can be great and guide them towards their greatness. George Washington was a master at it.
My husbands from Dallas and is a Sgt where we live. I love Dallas and we have plans to move back when our kids are grown in a couple of years. Dallas is beautiful and welcoming.
@@KWheelz16 well I'm white, my husband is African American, and our kids are Inuit (eskimo), hispanic, & biracial so I guess they will get a whole rainbow coalition with our money. 😊
Kelly Clarkson I'm not sure i can continue watching your videos. I've watched 2 and they both brought tears to my eyes. As a 62 year old former cop, former security chief i can't afford to be so emotional lol. Keep it up!
I picked my major at 3 years old. I wanted to be an anthropologist I wanted to do archaeology and forensic anthropology, to do relief work in the countries I was researching for UNICEF and UNIFEM. I’m still trying it’s not an easy field to get in when you don’t know anybody and you grew up below poverty status in the US with a single mom working retail and putting myself through school with two jobs and then burying my mom to cancer. I’m 31 and still trying.
Love to see you growing safe and healthy. and, delivering such love, compassion and duty and your patriotism young lady police officer and the future chief. God bless you
I mean, it's in the video title and we, the audience, know the general format of how these things go but it was still very moving to watch it. Amazing that she now has a mentor who is clearly also a new mother figure. Best of luck to the young woman, though I don't imagine she'll need luck.
So much respect. We need this change not only to better America, but to be a role model for our children. To prepare them that racism no matter what breeds this stupid ways of thinking. Go women, people of all races, sex or sexual preference. I so lucky to say Im a proud American . Thank you Kelly for putting out this positive ways of life. We needit now more then ever. Do we can all stand up and be like Jesus was. Seen people for who they are and love them all equally.
Just had to subscribe after seeing you doing such amazing things for our future leaders. These kids have been so blessed by you and their mentors. Hats off for giving these kids the opportunity of a lifetime.
This does Touch my (HEART)!!!... Has me up in Tears!!!!.... How lovely it is to see someone care for another so much! Touches on my HEART!!!... Much love and Respect!!!....🕊🍃🌹🍃🌹🍃🌹🍃🕊🎼🙏🏼🎼👍
yep to all of it, but can not help notice how the youngest girl is so very attentive to everything, very respectful, very polite, wow she has some great parents! of all of them she will achieve the most! can just see it in her...respect to ALL of them as an old lady/retired school teacher who signed TITLE lX (so girls in school could play sports & take shop classes (we were FORCED to take home ec!) who marched in "Take Back The Night", burned my bra, etc, so I am proud of ALL of them! just something extra special about that youngest little girl!!
I hope soon there will be interviews with healthcare workers and the frontliners. Always interested with healthcare professions... especially hearing the story of professionals that are high ranking 😊
Good for Dallas PD getting some exposure! Meanwhile, there's an ever-growing crime rate back home and the City of Dallas is coming off a record year for homicides. What a great mentor she will be! On a brighter note, that 16 year old seems more knowledgeable, eloquent and better equipped to handle such a failing department or the like! Good for her!

@Vlasko60 exactly.
I think it was so touching how you could see Jordan’s eyes light up when Chief Hall came out. You could tell that seeing a woman police chief made her feel even more confident about her life choices
She's not qualified to be a police officer, much less a police chief.
