Many years ago, back in 2009 I caught myself driving on the way to a friends house early in the morning during Bob and Tom. B and T gifted me a whole new world. The world of the Mummies. To this day, I still haven't seen a tighter, more electric band than this one and I haven't even seen them in person yet.
Wow, 13 years ago…I remember hearing this as it aired live, I was blown away by such an incredible live studio performance at a radio station. They’ve come to town a couple of times, never been able to see them live but I’d love to.
Uh, you can't. They dress like that to avoid being recognized, as they're contract session players risking their jobs to do this. OK, at least that's the story that I read but it seems plausible.
They're geniuses. Nobody knows who they really are, but I suspect Nashville session artists who have contracts elsewhere. It's a theory. They might just be mummies.
I have to say, when Mark brought up this band I wasn't expecting them to be on the Bob and Tom Show. I followed this channel because of Mike Armstrong. I think an interview with Mark on this channel would be pretty wicked!
Up until 5 minutes ago (2/15/20), I had never heard of these guys. They have great, nice, driving, & melodic rock with great instrumentation & fine multi-part vocals. Wow.
I'm still surprised that Markiplier listens to this. 😂 Everyone's taste in music is so different! Like how Jack likes heavy metal. It doesn't fit them at all!!! 😂😂😂
The dirty humour is SO Mark lmao. I can see it. Omg I just got a mental image of Mark like cleaning the kitchen after a Markiplier Makes with this playing pffffft mood
Those cats are brilliant. I saw them years ago in Columbia, Missouri at a festival. They had the whole audience dancing. I think it was the conga cat gave me a hug afterwards.
I like to sing this song riding picks up to the top of the fire box in the power plant down the road from me. Keep everyone outside the hole wondering.
don't take bob and tom for granted. i miss waking up to em and going on my morning commute. my clock radio goes off and within minutes i'm laughing my ass off in the morning in bed. Great way to wake up.
This appearance on B & T was the first time I'd ever heard of these guys and all it took was hearing this song live one time to turn me into a huge HCTM fan. Thirteen years and nearly forty live performances later I still say they're the best act I've ever seen.
I’m back here after hearing this is Markiplier’s favorite band and I’m laughing so hard I’m crying. Of *course* Mark would like this. How did I not think of that.
It cracks me up to see so many comments about Bob & Tom ...it 'is' a live radio show not a concert or gig ..its their job to talk , laugh and and cut up ...ya think ?
I saw them live at the Egyptian room on New Year’s Eve about 12 years they were just tremendous even though my friends did basically have to carry me to the car when we left (i had just turned 21 the same week)
Can't say enough about these guys! Musicianship, choreography, costumes, creativity in the lyrics, and presentation!!!! Damn, what a great band! Get your asses down to New Orleans, PLEASEEEEE!!!!!!
I came across this band when I was making a funk playlist. Can anyone say "New Favorite Band?" Holy shit. This band is exactly what my music holes crave. How have they been in existence for 10 years and I'm just hearing of them today?
As far as the people wondering, these guys are based out of Nashville. The rumor is that they're all seasoned professional musicians with other "main gigs" who usually only get together several times a year, and their identities are something of a secret. They have done at least one tour though, so at some point they may come to your town. If they do, make sure to catch a show. It's seriously one of the coolest things you'll ever see.
I seen these guys on Saturday, Hands down, the best concert I have been to in my 37 years. After the show seven of them were taking pics and signing what ever you brought them to sign. Great Band!!!!
this is the second time i have witnessed Here Comes the Mummies. so infectious & downright delicious and funkee. you cannot take them serious as earnest musicians. this is a riotous sound. a blend of ska, funk, jam, pop, and rock. i will definitely forward this to my friends. RA RA RA.
I just saw them this past Sunday at The Mohegan Sun casino in Connecticut. These guys were hands-down the most entertaining live show I've ever seen in my life. Their song lyrics were a riot and the crowd was up and dancing from the first note to the last. I hope they come back soon...
i don't believe i am mistaken. every single member of this band has won a grammy award in each respective field. look past the costumes. the music is classic, very well done, and most of all very very fun. let some musicians have some fun right? after all all they wanna do is entertain AND they are awesome live!
I remember watching this particular episode of BnTS and you could Tom had written them off before they even started. It felt like he was grumpy (which he normally is, but after one song his entire perception of them changed) They made annual appearances after for Halloween for who knows how long.
This is music! Something where the people in the band are the ones who create the music rather than having a computer do it for them. I will take this over any rap or hip hop artist any day. This is real musical TALENT!
HEY EVERYONE HERE THANKS TO MARKIMOO AND MOMIPLIER And stood because they actually kinda liked it too and may or may not be looking for more of there songs now.... because I’m definitely not
Today did I see a really nice new cadillac with a bumper sticker on it stopped in front of me at a red light, I was thinking why on Earth would someone put a bumper sticker of a "band" on such a nice looking car! So I looked up what this band must be about to have someone do this.........I get it now, so much so I bought tickets to a upcoming show in my area; They're awesome!
The Mummies are great. It's really a shame that The Bob & Tom Show is gone from radio. I really do miss it. As I was driving my KW down the road they kept me in stitches. Great stuff now regulated into nothingness. Thanks for a great video.
The "radio guys" loool. The biggest radio show ever next to Howard Stern & the ppl that everyone learned the Mummies from. There's a reason when u look up Mummies the Bob & Tom clips pop up 1st. They are 1 of hundreds of great songs they had on here. & yeah the Mummies are dope
I remember hearing this one day getting ready to go to class in college. I couldn’t get it out of my head and have loved HCTM ever since. Mummy Cass has the pipes. Thanks Bob & Tom!

Wow, 13 years ago…I remember hearing this as it aired live, I was blown away by such an incredible live studio performance at a radio station. They’ve come to town a couple of times, never been able to see them live but I’d love to.
Same here.
When they did this, was the first time I heard of the group.
Been a fan ever since.
I saw them recently, they still sound amazing!
it is now 14 years ago (make a chain telling him whatever long years ago it was ex:" it is now 15 years" or "it is now 16 years" etc.)
Uh, you can't. They dress like that to avoid being recognized, as they're contract session players risking their jobs to do this. OK, at least that's the story that I read but it seems plausible.
All new meaning to Here "come" the mummies.
Man, these guys leave me speechless! I don't even listen to this kind of music, but these guys simply blow me away! They have an amazing sound!

They're geniuses. Nobody knows who they really are, but I suspect Nashville session artists who have contracts elsewhere. It's a theory. They might just be mummies.

The original mummies garage band is much better
Plot twist: Markiplier is the singer

If it had the sexy deepness of Mark's voice
Naahhhhh mark too thicc to be him

What video did markiplier said this 4 years ago?
Possibly one of the catchiest songs EVER! 😂
I was singing this song during baking class because it had been stuck in my head all day. This is an amazing song.
I like to sing this song riding picks up to the top of the fire box in the power plant down the road from me. Keep everyone outside the hole wondering.
Now this is music, You can hear them singing over the instruments. And their timing is spot on it sounds like.
Our lord Markiplier brought me here....
*_not disappointed_*
That was the weirdest and coolest thing I can remember seeing

This band is pure greatness. Entertaining as hell and superb musicianship!
Discovered this on a Bob and Tom CD that was donated to the USO in a Kandahar, Afghanistan back in 2012. Loved it then, still love it now.
I’m back here after hearing this is Markiplier’s favorite band and I’m laughing so hard I’m crying.
Of *course* Mark would like this. How did I not think of that.
