I think Mars should be a lot stronger since he is a general well during the dungeon arc he lost to asta because he doesn't knew about anti magic and in the last scene he was taken out by bell wind spirit and during the witch queen arc ladros took him out by a surprise attack just like others and he was already weakened by fighting salamander and he is also known as the secret weapon of diamond kingdom so putting him at the magic knight level doesn't make much sense.
