Man Lamar should be MVP but i doubt the media will vote for him. i'm not mad at Josh Allen winning, he's been amazing this season but the media making out that Josh Allen is leagues ahead of Lamar is ridiculous. also this sentiment that so many fans seem to carry of "Lamar already has 2 let Josh win it" is wild to me, as a competitor who would want to be handed an MVP just because you don't have one? as a fan who would want to see that? you earn your stripes, they aren't handed to you.
the idea that Allen was far ahead is designed just get fan bases riled up. Lamar was in the lead until Ravens lost to Philly and the Bills beat the Rams. It was a one week swing. So the idea that it couldn’t swing back the other way has always been nonsense. Josh Allen got outperformed by Maye’s Patriots, while Lamar was beating up on the Steelers. Then Lamar beat up on the Texans- he’s torching playoff teams late in the season while Allen is struggling against bottom feeders
That's how we gonna do it right now.Just gave it to whoever didn't get one like it's a participation trophy as opposed to something you're supposed to win by effort???? No, that is not how it goes!!!
Lamar Jackson has earned this award. That man was throwing dots last night and jogging for a 48 yard td run making defenders look that were chasing him in slow motion. Lamar is absolutely incredible and as Ravens fan I’m so grateful Ozzy drafted him. Once in a lifetime talent.
I think we won’t ever see Lamar full on sprint unless it’s in a Super Bowl. I just haven’t seen him push himself running since 2019 and even then I feel like he was only using 80% of his speed.
This seems to be a huge problem. Lamar Jackson’s entire game is either a high light reel or MVP quality, even if he really isn’t trying to be the MVP. He allows his game play to speak for itself, and he is coachable, because with all of the OC’s that he has had. I have never ever heard one of them speak negatively concerning Lamar Jackson, so to give him the MVP is almost senseless at this point. 🤷🏾♂️ 💜🖤💜🖤💜🐦⬛✌🏾
20:17 This is a lot like that situation & is obvious voter fatigue because many in the media have mentioned in their arguments Lamar has 2 already & Josh deserves 1. (Not EARN 1) But I'm hoping if Lamar is robbed of it this yr, he does what Jokic did that yr & wins the SB.
Its really disgusting. Never heard that when rodgers was winning them and brees never got 1. Lamar is the one and they hated they were wrong about him. As a ravens fan i almost cried when we got Jackson because i was so happy. Finally felt like we wanted to win again. These years have been fun as hell with LJack!!!
The Ravens were beating themselves earlier in the season with penalties and the defensive. But today they only had 5 penalties in the last 2 games and since week 11 their #1 in defense. Also Dan Orlovsky, Mina Kimes, Teddy Bruschi and Acho are 4 of the 50 voters too.💪🏿
I agree with you about winning the chip, but it's just the principle of something you deserve being given to someone else, I mean a blind man could see that Lamar is more deserving of the MVP this year!!!
Imagine if Josh Allen puts up two more stinkers and the Ravens end up with the 2 seed. Would all the haters switch to supporting Saquon? Goff? Darnold?
I actually would make the arrangements for Burrow over Allen for mvp. I don't like the fact that the team context isn't variable that highlights the individual value. The team record should be irrelevant, but not the team itself. The record has too many variables for even strength of schedule to solve. Even interceptions aren't just the qb. Lamar only threw one directly to a defensive player and that was probably the least of the ones that were his responsibility. Bateman was probably supposed to keep going and the rest hit his guys in the hands although the decision or placement maybe could have been better. Pass protection is the biggest help imo and Allen has by far the best of that. His o line pass pro win rate and just dominance is different than the mvp competition, and James Cook had more touchdowns than Derrick Henry going into week 17.
Three games Lamar didn't play most of the 4th quarter. Lamar would have over 900 yards rushing by now. Allen played almost the whole game getting stomped 35-10 by the Ravens padding stats.
Imo, Lamar is ahead. But as I said before, if Lamar can’t win the division then Allen will win MVP. Only way it’s over is if Josh Allen lays a complete egg this Sunday. Or they lose. But if Allen plays lights out and they lose….. The MVP will literally come down to the last game! Bills can’t afford to lose this Sunday’s game. That would mean that Allen will have to play the last game. Why? Bc the Ravens own the tiebreaker.
I can't base it on records because the Bills are the only team in their division with a winning and the Ravens are in one of the toughest divisions, the Ravens would completely dominate that weak division. Also Josh is 3 and 3 against teams with winning records, Lamar is 6 and 3 against teams with winning records.
@alpharob6959 and lamar didnt play bad in those games, he put up 20+ but the defense was awful. If he doesn't put up 114+ passer rating, the ravens lose. High drop rate, missed kicks, and hes a divison leader right now. Plays against 2 dpoy and a sack leader 6 times, 7-3 vs winning teams while josh is 3-3, come on bruh

My only worry is Josh Allen has two relatively easy games left. And if he has even a decent outing in both of them they're going to give him the MVP more than likely

Agree 💯. Imagine saying let Josh win the SB since he hasn’t won one since Mahomes already has more than one.

They have improved 💯!! Giving up all those yards was killing them.

Lamar's bad games are average games for Josh. Josh has some horrific games. Lamar could of stayed in the game and threw for even more touchdowns.
If you want to be MVP, you have to prove that you're better than the reigning MVP. Josh Allen just hasn't done that.

The media is making this MVP race toxic. Both Lamar and Josh are looking at them like they're all tweaking.

I’m with Lamar on this one. Who gives a damn. He’s locked in to win a Super Bowl not another MVP.

I don’t think they can, Lamar has shut that down with all the historical accomplishments and broken records this season.
