Reasons- New D Coordinator, lost MULTIPLE starters on Defense, no confidence in what version of Henry we would see because of his age and, there was still doubt about Tod Munkin’s offense.

Lamar should've always been the front runner. The reason the media has been jumping through hoops to give it to Allen is because they feel like it's "his turn".

Yes! Ravens are 4-8 in the Lamar era when he doesn’t play. In 2021 they were at the 1 seed after week 12, Lamar went down with injury and they finished with a losing record and missed the playoffs. What happened in '23 is that Lamar was far and away the best footballer on the field. Everytime. Also, his team had the best record. So he won it even though his stats didn't show it. If you watched the games, it was clear; this dude DIFFERENT. This season, he actually better. And the stats show that. But, his team is worse (record wise at least). The argument that Lamar has more help also doesn’t apply in that case. In fact, if we’re just looking at the individual, the stats are all you really need. Any way you look at it, the MVP should be Lamar’s without question.
Strength of schedule isn’t as much of a thing in the NFL as it is in let’s say college. AFC East isn’t good, do you want to go back & take away Brady’s MVPs because he played in an even worse AFC East.

Allen is the reason they lost to the Chiefs last year trying to play hero ball, when he had Diggs coming across the middle WIDE OPEN (Go look), he tried to throw a TD on a 3rd and 5! Look bro I get it, what Josh is doing is nothing short of incredible. To lose your top 2 receivers and still have the #2 seed is incredible. It just seemed to me, Acho was working too hard to justify his position. The statistical numbers is what “Acho”was working against because Lamar’s numbers are better. To your point, if he won last year with less, it only makes sense that he’d do it again with better numbers. One last point, it just seems like the national sports media seem to move the goal post for Lamar every time he achieves and does exactly what they said he couldn’t do. I think it’s unfair. For him to really be successful he has two last hurdles according to the national media. Beat Patty Mahomes and win a Super Bowl. Then they’ll most likely move the goal post to winning the Super Bowl twice. The man is the greatest dual threat ever in the NFL! And is Still improving as a passer!

Allen is the reason they lost to the Chiefs last year trying to play hero ball, when he had Diggs coming across the middle WIDE OPEN (Go look), he tried to throw a TD on a 3rd and 5! This is what Diggs was mad about. Last week with the win against the Patriots, Josh said "We didn't open the playbook" making excuses for his 67 QBR rating indirectly. Look bro I get it, what Josh is doing is nothing short of incredible. To lose your top 2 receivers and still have the #2 seed is incredible.
