      +The Fishing Experiment Apparently there's a couple golf courses here in Colorado that have some good bass in them, so there's always a chance. Best way to find out? Ask the people at the golf course if there are and if you could get permission to fish if there are.

    If fishing a lake on shore. How many combos (rod+reel) would you recommend taking with

    • @TimKollat
      @TimKollat 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +The Reel Kids Fishing: as many as you can comfortably hoof around with you. Usually that is just 2. The lake I walk the bank on is in the desert, lots of steep rock, cactus rough terrain so I just bring one. If easy walking then 2. You can do a lot various styles of fishing with one rod.
      when walking far you want to be as light and agile as possible. One 6'6 to 7' medium power fast action rod can cover about 90% of your bass fishing techniques from the shoreline.

      The Reel Kids Fishing
      Look up the laws in your area
      It's not worth a fine
      Where I'm from, on shore you're only allowed one rod reel hook off shores even in a yak is a different story.

    a buddy and i were fishing a pond we have fished quite a bit. came out of nowhere he hooked into a giant fat Pike on a jig and craw. there are tons of bass here,like ever cast with a plastic worm or jig. we never expected a pike here. its a ohio farm pond. good size one. my question is, what would you use live bait or lure(whatevers best) just so you could home in on a pike out of here without all the bass biting. it was about 30in and fat as crap. thanks man

    I'm just starting to get into bass fishing and I'm a shore man and I just don't know what things I need to start with. like lures or jerkbaits , I'm not sure how to use those . Please help.

    • @Milehighsnake98
      @Milehighsnake98 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +timothy hernandez Being on shore, stay light. I'm guilty of NOT doing that.
      Lures to start with:
      Green Pumpkin Stick baits (like Yamamoto Senkos, BPS Stik-O's, Yum Dinger).
      Finesse jigs (1/4-3/8oz). Green pumpkin. Second color, black or black and blue.
      (jig trailer) Chuck/Craw Trailer, match the jig color. NetBait Paca Chunk, Zoom super chunk, etc.
      Soft Jerkbaits (flukes). Zoom Super Fluke, Yum Money Minnow, White/pearl and watermelon red flake.
      Spinnerbaits, 3/8oz, white, white/chartreuse, black.
      Buzzbaits, 3/8oz, white, black, white/chartreuse.
      That should cover a very small box that's easily portable and is plenty to catch fish all year.
      For terminal tackle:
      3/0 and 4/0 EWG hooks
      3/0 offset worm hook
      2, 1, 1/0 wacky worm hook/finesse round bend hook.
      3/16, 1/4, 3/8, 1/2oz bullet tungsten weights (tungsten is better than lead, but expensive).
      All that is less than $100. Get a couple good rods, one with a floating line (braid or mono) and one with a sinking line (fluoro) and you'll be good.

    • @kevinmatthew8240
      @kevinmatthew8240 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +Sean that is a good start but you forgot the shallow square bills and a lipless crank...I been doing pretty good on those the last couple weeks here in Northern KY

    • @Milehighsnake98
      @Milehighsnake98 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kevin Matthew
      I'm used to my lake that gets way too much vegetation to throw anything with treble hooks when the water is above 55 degrees. Below 55 I'm throwing a jerkbait anyways. And I always forget lipless cranks because I have a box full of them that have never caught a fish no matter how hard I try.

      ***** yup..I know what you mean...but last year and this year I finally been able to break the lipless curse and have done decent with some crawfish colors in spring. When it warms up I like to throw plastics like shakey heads, flukes, and Mann's jelly worms.

    Hey 1rod1reelfishing this does not have to do with this video but in your tackle bag did you have to stretch it out to fit both of those 3700 boxes in there or did you just hope that they would not break the zipper. Please write back and tell me how you got them to fit because I got the bag and the boxes hold my stuff perfect.

      +Caden Richardson the bag fits 2 3700 boxes perfectly even though its advertised to hold 3 3700 boxes (won't fit this many)
