The trimesters can be calculated by dividing 40 weeks by three. The second starting at 13.3 weeks, the third starting at 26.67 but some use other methods. The third trimester starts as week 26 rolls into week 27.

27 weeks is the last week of the 2nd trimester, 28 weeks is officially the start of your 3rd trimester. However, some doctors say differently so it all depends.

month six is 22 - 26 weeks
Third trimester
month seven is 27-30 weeks
month eight 31 - 35 weeks
month nine 36- 40 weeks
My nurse says 28 weeks is 3rd trimester I guess here

The third trimester starts as week 26 rolls into week 27. So your chart is correct as well. 26.67 weeks is only a day away from 27 weeks.

Ill be 26 weeks in a few days and Im on strict bed rest due to IC. I have very little cervix left and have funneled past my cerclage stitching. these videos are the only thing I look forward to nowadays. ;) I love how thorough you are
I'm exactly in same phase right now... Did the best rest help? Which week did you deliver the baby.. my cervix is just 1.6 now.. I'm worried😭

Hello Liccy, thank you for contacting us. I know it can be confusing. The end of week 26 is the end of your second trimester and the beginning of of your third trimester as you roll into week 27. Different sites use different calculations because although pregnancy is 9 months we use 40 weeks so there are discrepancies. The trimesters can be calculated in different ways such as 13.3 weeks is the end of first trimester and 26.6 weeks the end of the second trimester etc.

Thank you for contacting us. I know it can be a bit confusing as there are 40 weeks in a pregnancy but only 9 months. Some months are longer than 4 weeks. We consider 6 months gestation falling between 23 to 27.

26 weeks 4 days whew have had mild period type of cramps close to ligaments called growth by my nurse as went to have labor contractions monitor at l&d and was fine today so hate the cramps growth uterus I gusss my second a sweet boy is due in 12 weeks can’t wait till he is healthy and past 37 weeks I’ll be happy ! Sometimes I twist my back to crack it a little. My stomach isn’t big at all. I barely look pregnant lol. I sometimes take hot/warm baths it just feels so much better. The headaches and congestion I have is horrible smh. Babygirl is moving so much. I love it 🤰🥰😮💨

In my opinion the best way to deliver is the safest way. The method of delivery can depend on many things such as position of the baby, position of the placenta and how the baby is handling the labour. It is up to you and your doctor to decide what is best. Some Mom's do deliver in a pool of water and I have met Mom's who had a very rewarding and wonderful birth experience this way.
