Great video - I have enjoyed all of the videos you produced. Any recommendation on winter gear - I see you riding at -8c in this video.?

Thank you Ken! your support means a lot. I will be making a detailed video on winter riding and will include gear details in that. For now, here is what has helped me to stay warm.
Base layer: Marino wool (top, bottom and socks)
Top layer: Snug T shirt, fleece jacket, winter jacket
      Bottom Layer: Snow pants
Shoes: Winter boots with solid angle protection
      Neck gaiter
Gloves: There are decent winter gloves out there but if you want cost effective, snow boarding gloves works just fine.
As a riding gear: You can add layer of off roading chest/elbow and back protector. Personally, I dont wear any "riding gear" it adds more to bulkiness and hinders movability. But see what works best for you.
The key is to block the wind and not sweat inside the gear. Wet and cold is never enjoyable. Traction is low during winter months and salt on the road is gravel.
Stay tuned for deatiled video on this. Ride safe!

I’ve just come across your videos and it’s very timely for my wife and I as we will be going through the licensing process this coming spring.
We’re looking at insurance companies that will provide us coverage from when we get our M1 so we can get practice time (at a parking lot) before we take the safety course and get our M2, though it will most likely cost us more to insure. What would you advice as far as getting practice riding between your M1 and M2?

Congratulations on decidiing to get motorcycle license. I am not sure if you have shopped around but typically M1 insurance costs arm and a leg. Also, its recommended to buy a bike after M2 course. Once you try different types of bikes on the course, you will have a better idea of what type of bike suits you and your wife needs.
I do like the idea of practicing before M2 and getting the head start.
As an instructor, I would always recommend to the "right way" under professional guidance. I do offer M2 prep course, you can rent a bike that way you dont have to worry about insurance/buying a bike. You can find deatils at website tractioncontrol.ca/ The course is not on a website yet but it will be added on for 2024 season.

Do I need to buy a bike before doing the m2 test or before doing a motorcycle safety course

No, no need of bike. The safety course will provide you with training bikes.

Thanks sm. I’m moving to Canada next year and I want to ride. If it’s okay, could you make a video explaining prices of things. So maybe where you can get used or new bikes, costs of equipment, where to go, costs of licenses etc. thank you :). (P.S, do you think it’s fun to ride in Canada? Are there good highways to cruise on?)

Great suggestion! I may make a video of that in near future. The biggest fixed cost is insurance and I recommend to find premiums under $150 per month. Of course the price is subjective and 150 is just my bench mark because that's where I started.
There are many roads to explore in Canada. I would recommend in a heart beat. Plus USA is next to us which has wide range of sceneries to explore on two wheels. You wont be disappointed! All the best with move, stay tuned here for more motorcycle content. Cheers!
