    It's always really amazing how there's always that one thing that gets added and suddenly it's "ohh there it is! 🎶"

      And aim to find those ingredients. It’s exactly like I did here. Like a scale model, piece by piece you should build up your sound. First bigger pieces and slowly onto smaller things

    Awesome video man! You are a great teacher. So many synthfluencers on TH-cam who can’t make actual music or explain it. I have learned more about composition and layering here than in any other video I’ve watched.

    As a band keyboardist who is digging into electronic music and trying to find a setup and workflow, this is is far beyond priceless, as it is really inspirational!
    Knowing this channel for I while already, I realize only now how great all this is.

      @@AnalogKitchen The euro scene is so far beyond me, yet I can almost guarantee that there are quite a few spots across the pond that would love some music like this.
      Miami music week is always a great option. Several mid scale festivals in the US are also quite epic (Electric Forrest, Hulaween, and many other spots. Maybe you can play in Mecca one day lol? ie Detroit)
      You could easily play a 300+ person club near or in Miami with the right connections and around music week.
      Best of luck to you bro. Your music is legit...so much better than 2 years ago(and you were already quite skilled).
      You sound 'industry standard' now.

      Not really, I just record the music on a Zoom H5. All is one take magic most of the time. Which is nerve wracking and fun at the same time!

  • @lowpolyghost

    Can I have a question for gear? Why is multiclock in your setup important?

    • @AnalogKitchen
      @AnalogKitchen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Retro. Well for multiple reasons. First it overcomes midi issues between boxes that (if connected directly) have midi latency or delays. And secondly, I can use it to start and stop different segments of my songs. Better to top a drumcomputer then mute 7 drum tracks manually right?

  • @DJPhantomRage
    @DJPhantomRage 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I have a ton of gear. My issue is how to get back into making music and get out of my head I am aged out and lost my creativity. That is my struggle...

    • @ruffark
      @ruffark 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I had the same problem. Start with a simple loop a day. Focus on gear you know and enjoy, so it does not feel like a job. Your joy will come back and your workflow will be fluid then you can expand.

    • @py_a_thon
      @py_a_thon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Limit yourself artificially perhaps?
      Create a minimalist workflow. Create song. Add new elements selectively and carefully.

    • @scottadams7820
      @scottadams7820 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Limitations really do breed creativity. Pare it back some, to a minimum 1-2 voices and some drumage. A 303 & 808 can be a whole ass party

    • @py_a_thon
      @py_a_thon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@scottadams7820 I would agree. An 808/909 type system, a 303 type system, a sampler and a keyboard synth with a way to keep everything clocked together is perhaps a perfect minimalism setup.
      I am not sure what else you really need, until you know why you want or need something. Like an end stage daisy chain of some effects, or a mixer or whatever. Or both.
      The same logic goes for us daw digital heathens as well. Limitations breed creativity.

    • @py_a_thon
      @py_a_thon 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@scottadams7820 There are still people in this world who can play clubs with nothing other than a stack of vinyl, 2 turntables and a mixer with crossfading (and post fx).
      I have even seen some people basically just mix fluidly with traktor, good music curation and almost nothing else. (Ie: digital dj minimalism)

    This is a big problem today people think about what “tricks” they’re going to use. Chords are not a B section. How about actually studying music composition and arranging. Oh no, you don’t wanna do that cause it takes decades. Everybody just wants to be famous , this is why most music today barely has any music in it because people today don’t know anything about music.

    • @AnalogKitchen
      @AnalogKitchen  ปีที่แล้ว

      Some 30 years ago my dad said the same thing. It sounded old then and it does now… I don’t want to dis you as this is your opinion. But you make it sound as fact. And as I have studied for like forever. The world is a different place now. Some folks want everything now rather then tomorrow. But then again. There’s nouvelle cuisine and there’s McDonald’s. Both work
