- 1963 in Rheinfelden, Baden, geboren, zählt zu den großen Geigen-Virtuosen unserer Zeit. Mit fünf wünschte sie sich Geigenunterricht, mit sechs gewann sie den Wettbewerb „Jugend musiziert“. Kaum 13 Jahre alt debütierte sie bei den Salzburger Festspielen unter Herbert von Karajan - der Beginn ihrer Weltkarriere. Seitdem konzertiert sie weltweit in allen bedeutenden Musikzentren.
Eine tolle Serie und, wenig überraschend: Frau Mutter ist ein wunderbarer Mensch!
Ich wusste gar nicht, was für ein liebevoller, demütiger und humorvoll - geerdeter Seelenmensch sie ist. Noch beeindruckender als das Bild der Geigen - Ikone, das ich bisher lediglich von ihr hatte!

I can't write in German but in English....I was replying to Fritz's posting a copy/paste job of another man's words on entirely different people than Anne-Sophie in a commenting format clearly not meant for the posting of long articles..
Not to your posting of your own, poetic, words.
You are correct though in that my imagination stops at the point where insanity or an understanding of the joys of trolling begin.

LOL Thank you blogger Boot for your expert opinion which obviously trumps the opinion of so many actual highly experienced, accomplished and reputable musicians, conductors and composers.
Btw Fritz, seeing as you obviously frequent Boot's blog, perhaps you can tell him that "lad mags" have moved on a bit from the fifties...which is obviously the last time Boot actually saw a so called "Lad mag".
It is also wildly amusing that you are addressing this "sex sells" issue under this particular video. Do you even understand German? Are you even remotely aware how not fitting your c'p jobs on that subject are? Not only as Mutter IS one of the best violinists alive but also considering the content of this video.
I suggest you get back to your videos of pianists in evening dresses and "work your magic" as you seem to suggest the purpose of said videos to be, before searching for yet another c/p job.

It is also a response to the first question being that she is 50 and she once (over a decade ago" was (mis)quoted regarding retiring at some point.A misquoting she explained already in many previous interviews in both German and English language.
One wonders how many times Perlman was asked when he is retiring moment he turned 50.
Amusing how you come with this quote in response as it says as little about the quality of her playing as naked shoulders or sexy pictures do according to your c/p job.
Even more amusing is that both you and the fools whose words you like to post are guilty of not being able to hear actual music because of being distracted by sexy press material.
Most amusing of all is that you really have nothing to say yourself.
