If you can't see the subtitles, click on the gear icon and you should see an option to activate them. They are usually activated automatically when needed (i.e., your browser language is set to English but the video is set to Spanish) but sometimes I suppose they don't for some reason...

It was a "chonta" knife which I believe is an ancient artifact that predates (or perhaps evolved into) the modern machete that is a pretty common farm implements here. Not to worry though, the one Doña Rosa was using is for ceremonial purposes only, it hasn't been sharpened so its quite safe 😉
