Also .. corrections for anyone who cares Shimano reels across all models use their model number only (ex curado 150mgl = 6.2 gear ratio, 150mglHG= high gear 7.4 ratio and 150mglXG= xtra high gear 8.5 ratio) the curado 200m = Does Not have X-Protect, just X-ship
Thanx, Curados have been the work horse for so long it should celebrated. The price point of Curados are getting a little steep but the innovations make it competitive with many high end models from other brands. Bang for the buck the SLX XT and SLX MGL will give any reel a run for the money.
This camera focus is annoying brother lol but good breakdown!! Just recently cdossed over from all rods under the shimano umbrella + 4 P5's and 1 levante flatside special bcuz its the best square bill rod at any price point i think.. but have all shimano & now 3 bates reels ( try them if you havent, worth literally every cent).. to the diawa family and find myself reaching for my jdm Zillion TW HD & Tatula Elite AGS 7'6 Heavy and 7'3 heavy rods over my Expride equals (ish made a killer frog/flip/light punch rod) my 24 kage 6'8 jerkbait rod ( only bc i like more backbone vs softer tips like my expride) & lastly my steez ags "the one" 7'6 spinning rod + tatula elite.. but that's it.. sold all my other everyday technique rods.. idk. I like the reels with braid only, hated them with flouro but did like the zero adjust idea for spool tension.. and use mine only for close quarters flip/skip etc but Shimano murders them on open water/everyday casting and that butter smooth drag + connected feel... Idk if its just bc im set in my ways.. as far as curados, i have 11 of various models & 0 issues. B the new jdm slx dc xt and slx dc 70 is a dream for 150 and 200$ for i-dc5 is crazyy !!
In just pure casting ability that MGL 150 is one of the best even including the Steez or Met/Bantam. Not talking about smoothness, ergonomics or durability. Almost impossible to backlash even when it’s wide open.
You should do the same kind of video but with the Tatula line of reels! Good stuff man
Thanks Kevin. That video will take so long!!!
@@LakeProTackle You're right lol! Would still be cool though.

Also what was that rod you had the curado bfs reel on?
@@TheRealMrSix All the rods are on old Castaway rods. Not sure where the store got them or how but cool way of displaying the reels.
Sorry man I hate refilming episodes but I think the focus kept doing it because I was using the smallest focus point.
Best reels for the money, been playing with the slx 70A and very impressed 💪

Absolutely agree!
Curado 150 VS new Tatula 150 SV TW face off!
Curado Dc 150 is my go to. Cast a mile, way more smoother then my SLX DC.
Thanks to the Micro Module gearing!!
Not done watching the video, so maybe you mention it. But what rods are those cut down from?
They were CastAway rods when we had them in the store
