It's so annoying how everyone in this show acts like Rory is a Saint. They blame her bad behavior on her boyfriends and influences. This is one of the few times she actually gets called out and she totally deserves it.
It's difficult to put all the blame on Rory though because those around her constantly praised her thereby it shortchanged her. She should've been given the skills to work through these types of issues but realistically at this age, how many are able to? I didn't have a boyfriend until I was 18 and even that was young so I can only imagine dealing with it at 15.

Rory treated Dean poorly but Dean wasn’t an angel either. He was extremely possessive/ controlling and had a short temper. He was this way with Tristian too. He had no trust regardless of whether there was anything actually going on. It’s scary Lorelei and many fans don’t see the faults in Dean just because Rory’s mistakes are much more obvious at this time.
Rory hiding things from Dean constantly really resulted in how his character became (I feel). He knew he was losing her and she strung him along. Rory is very much emotionally manipulative and I believe that's why he was losing control of his emotions because of how much it was affecting him. I believe he knew her heart wasn't in it but her keeping him around was damaging him so he acted up (which is unfortunate & not okay ofcourse)

Like lorelia said “dragging his heart all around town” . She didn’t even fail to hide it , in the “they shoot the Gilmore’s don’t they” episode . and Jess . A young boy who liked a girl who eventually kissed him , giving him mixed signals , and then continued being w her boyfriend like nothing happened . AND then got mad at him for moving on . they all didn’t deserve what happened . but in the whole situation between dean , Jess and Rory the whole love triangle it was bcs of Rory . not even hating on her , it’s a fact . she couldn’t broken up w dean once she realized she had feeling for Jess . i get that she was young and confused , but that’s not an excuse . n with the whole thing abt everyone always calling out Rory for her mistakes and not dean . is not entirely true , because ppl gave shit to dean for the Donna reed episode n the i love you , breaking thing more than they gave to Rory when she cheated and used him on the end of season 2 and the whole of season 3 . when dean makes. Mistake he’s expected to be “mature” abt it but when Rory does it “she was young” “it’s not entirely her fault” . I think that’s why lorelia was w dean on this one . Rory had a whole town that would do anything for her , and dean had no one to support him on this . only lorelia who actually came to her senses and realized how wrong that situation was . in the end they were all young and made mistakes but all the mistakes from season 4-7 from any characters were all bad . because at that time they weren’t young anymore yk. anyways sorry for my ramble . this isn’t a hate comment by the way! i just wanted to share my unwanted opinion 😭

I think them dating irl was very beneficial to the Jess / Rory relationship. All their scenes seemed incredibly real, so much chemistry and sexual tension. When we see Rory act jealous, she seems hurt and uncomfortable and I think it's because Alexis is uncomfortable.
Rory was wrong. She knew she had feelings for Jess yet she strung Dean along.I felt bad for Dean. He deserved better. If you think about it, Rory was to blame for a lot of things. Creed Bratton yeah that’s fair. I don’t think Rory is so bad until after graduation. But when she’s in college, I start to hate her. ESPECIALLY her treatment of Paris. Everyone is always talking about how annoying and overbearing Paris is but like she’s the best goddamn friend someone could ask for. She comes to her crying over Logan and Paris shares her apartment and Chinese food.

If it had been a flaw then ok, but everyone encourages and goes along with her behavior except for when she writes the receive of the trust fund party, and even then, it’s just Logan and she’s forgiven pretty damn fast. Same with the Marty boyfriend situation.

This was one of the moments in the show that I really had to applaud Lorelai for calling Rory out. Yeah, I know that she's glorifying Dean a bit. No one will ever say Lorelai Gilmore's above playing favorites. But that doesn't matter. Even if Dean wasn't a perfect angel, no one deserves to be strung along and made to watch as their significant other blatantly displays feelings for someone else. Rory was in the wrong here, and she needed to hear it.
i think it does matter, lorelai playing favorites doesn't help the situation, it creates it to a certain degree. so Rory has a huge crush on jess, which will not go away that easy and lorelai knows that and instead of helping her daughter understand her feeling and breaking up with dean, she is waving around dean all the time, as if this would magically undo her crush, all it does is making rory feel guilty, when there is nothing to be guilty about. So what, she fell for another guy, that happens. Also breaking up with dean isn't only the right choice, if she wants to be with jess, but something that should be generally consider at this point, because it seems like she is just with dean, because she is with dean and that is not good reason to be in a relationship.

I actually love Rory, she has different sides of course, like everyone. She did wrong cheating with Dean and she did wrong dropping out of Yale, but everyone has to make little mistakes to realize who they are and what they are doing it’s wrong. She tried to be nice to everyone usually and cared for a lot of people. She helped Jess in so many levels and Logan, too. For me the revival doesn’t exist. I love Rory Gilmore.
I hate her. Her baby voice is so precious and annoying, she acts all innocent and sweet and Bambi-like, when she's obviously not. I also hate her for betraying her mom and moving into her grandparents' mansion to be a mini Emily, stylish, snobbish and shallow. She even stops reading at this point and spends her days organising rich parties and doing her hair. She is mighty offended when Logan's family doesn't immediately see her as wife-material for their precious son, but then she rejects Logan's proposal and later on becomes his mistress and gets pregnant (by him?). Petty much? She also leads Dean on, breaking his marriage and playing with his feelings. She also lies to Logan that he was her first (in the episode with the priest Emily invited to dinner). Aa, when she is frustrated she steals valuable things from people. Aaaa, and the famous quote "Don't they know I'm a Gilmore?", when she is actually a Hayden. She's a classist like her grandmother and she's stunned that Logan's billionaire family is discriminating against her, treating her as inferior. Let's face it, she's an illegitimate child, born out of wedlock, by a teen mom who disgraced her family when she ran away to become a maid and live in a shed. Quite the scandal, but Rory doesn't understand why that might be a problem for the Huntzbergers, who are careful not to stain their prestige. At least her mom doesn't care about money or prestige or appearances, but Rory does and starts acting like it. First, she befriends people like Marty, down to earth, poor and modest, defends him against the rich pampered snobbish kids at Yale, then she ditches Marty for that exact clique. But the most annoying thing about her is her holier than thou attitude. She acts like she's just better than everyone else.

Lucy Ennis she didn’t cheat on Logan though-her and Jess kissed for a few seconds and then she ended it (unfortunately) and said she couldn’t cheat on Logan even thought he’d cheated on her with about 6 different people. Jess is absolutely her soulmate. Jess is also the only one she didn’t actually sleep with which I think is really interesting even though he’s the one she clearly loves the most.
Rory was emotionally manipulative. She needed a man to use & string along until she got the one she wanted. She played with Dean's emotions.. he stuck around out of love but knew Rory's heart was not in it anymore. I felt she damaged Dean emotionally and it shows on how his character starts to negatively change.
I think people need to separate Milo from Jess. People like Jess because Milo is gorgeous. If you transferred Jess' personality traits to a not so attractive person, I doubt that he would get as much love.
Lorelai pisses me off too here bc if she had been more open to jess maybe rory would’ve have felt like she had to stay with dean. Rory was wrong leading him on like that but lorelai totally pressured her, she made it crystal clear she didn’t approve (of jess but also of rory changing her mind about dean) and we know rory can’t really do much without her mothers approval (not yet anyway). I mean, lorelai made dean look like this amazing boyfriend just bc she could control him, and bc rory didn’t like him THAT much, not enough to think about sex, always included her in their activities and idk involved her in her relationship bc it really was quite young and innocent (kinda weird for a 17/18 yo if u ask me). I feel like she disapproved of jess bc she didn’t have any effect on him, she didn’t scare him nor charme him, he really didn’t care and it frightened her.

Creed Bratton yeah that’s fair. I don’t think Rory is so bad until after graduation. But when she’s in college, I start to hate her. ESPECIALLY her treatment of Paris. Everyone is always talking about how annoying and overbearing Paris is but like she’s the best goddamn friend someone could ask for. She comes to her crying over Logan and Paris shares her apartment and Chinese food.

Megan fewn9bre no but there is a difference in making a character intentionally flawed, and making someone just a jackass. If it had been a flaw then ok, but everyone encourages and goes along with her behavior except for when she writes the receive of the trust fund party, and even then, it’s just Logan and she’s forgiven pretty damn fast. Same with the Marty boyfriend situation.

This was one of the moments in the show that I really had to applaud Lorelai for calling Rory out. Yeah, I know that she's glorifying Dean a bit. No one will ever say Lorelai Gilmore's above playing favorites. But that doesn't matter. Even if Dean wasn't a perfect angel, no one deserves to be strung along and made to watch as their significant other blatantly displays feelings for someone else. Rory was in the wrong here, and she needed to hear it.
i think it does matter, lorelai playing favorites doesn't help the situation, it creates it to a certain degree. so Rory has a huge crush on jess, which will not go away that easy and lorelai knows that and instead of helping her daughter understand her feeling and breaking up with dean, she is waving around dean all the time, as if this would magically undo her crush, all it does is making rory feel guilty, when there is nothing to be guilty about. So what, she fell for another guy, that happens. Also breaking up with dean isn't only the right choice, if she wants to be with jess, but something that should be generally consider at this point, because it seems like she is just with dean, because she is with dean and that is not good reason to be in a relationship.

I actually love Rory, she has different sides of course, like everyone. She did wrong cheating with Dean and she did wrong dropping out of Yale, but everyone has to make little mistakes to realize who they are and what they are doing it’s wrong. She tried to be nice to everyone usually and cared for a lot of people. She helped Jess in so many levels and Logan, too. For me the revival doesn’t exist. I love Rory Gilmore.
I hate her. Her baby voice is so precious and annoying, she acts all innocent and sweet and Bambi-like, when she's obviously not. I also hate her for betraying her mom and moving into her grandparents' mansion to be a mini Emily, stylish, snobbish and shallow. She even stops reading at this point and spends her days organising rich parties and doing her hair. She is mighty offended when Logan's family doesn't immediately see her as wife-material for their precious son, but then she rejects Logan's proposal and later on becomes his mistress and gets pregnant (by him?). Petty much? She also leads Dean on, breaking his marriage and playing with his feelings. She also lies to Logan that he was her first (in the episode with the priest Emily invited to dinner). Aa, when she is frustrated she steals valuable things from people.
Aaaa, and the famous quote "Don't they know I'm a Gilmore?", when she is actually a Hayden. She's a classist like her grandmother and she's stunned that Logan's billionaire family is discriminating against her, treating her as inferior. Let's face it, she's an illegitimate child, born out of wedlock, by a teen mom who disgraced her family when she ran away to become a maid and live in a shed. Quite the scandal, but Rory doesn't understand why that might be a problem for the Huntzbergers, who are careful not to stain their prestige.
At least her mom doesn't care about money or prestige or appearances, but Rory does and starts acting like it. First, she befriends people like Marty, down to earth, poor and modest, defends him against the rich pampered snobbish kids at Yale, then she ditches Marty for that exact clique.
But the most annoying thing about her is her holier than thou attitude. She acts like she's just better than everyone else.

Jess was obviously the guy she wanted from the start.She cheated on Logan and dean with Jess but she didn’t cheat on Jess.Im 50/50 between Jess and Logan but I feel as if she wanted Jess from the start
Lucy Ennis she didn’t cheat on Logan though-her and Jess kissed for a few seconds and then she ended it (unfortunately) and said she couldn’t cheat on Logan even thought he’d cheated on her with about 6 different people. Jess is absolutely her soulmate. Jess is also the only one she didn’t actually sleep with which I think is really interesting even though he’s the one she clearly loves the most.

Rory was emotionally manipulative. She needed a man to use & string along until she got the one she wanted. She played with Dean's emotions.. he stuck around out of love but knew Rory's heart was not in it anymore. I felt she damaged Dean emotionally and it shows on how his character starts to negatively change.

I think people need to separate Milo from Jess. People like Jess because Milo is gorgeous. If you transferred Jess' personality traits to a not so attractive person, I doubt that he would get as much love.

Lorelai pisses me off too here bc if she had been more open to jess maybe rory would’ve have felt like she had to stay with dean. Rory was wrong leading him on like that but lorelai totally pressured her, she made it crystal clear she didn’t approve (of jess but also of rory changing her mind about dean) and we know rory can’t really do much without her mothers approval (not yet anyway). I mean, lorelai made dean look like this amazing boyfriend just bc she could control him, and bc rory didn’t like him THAT much, not enough to think about sex, always included her in their activities and idk involved her in her relationship bc it really was quite young and innocent (kinda weird for a 17/18 yo if u ask me). I feel like she disapproved of jess bc she didn’t have any effect on him, she didn’t scare him nor charme him, he really didn’t care and it frightened her.

Okay let's see, on this corner there's Rory, a girl that don't want to be with her boyfriend and yet don't cut him loose, who want to be chased down and desired only to end up saying "I have a boyfriend" when it happens, who (according to jess) doesn't even bother to call you, who thinks kissing ain't cheating, who gets jealous over a guy that she has rejected like 5 times and last but not least who has mother issues. And on the other hand there's Shane, who isn't afraid to kiss passionately, who isn't self conscious about public displays of passion and who likes to be grabbed in the sweet perky ass (yeah that's superficial, so what? I'm a boy, deal with it).... geez I wonder which one is the best choice for a guy.
