My wife and I were both students here from 1985 [HPC] to 1990 [HPU]. We graduated with BSBA and MBA. Lots have changed..Fort street Mall..the Library, classrooms and so forth...We looked foward to visit HPU in 2022 after retiring. Aloha and Thank you for the video.
I lived right above hooters my second year at HPU so I would sit at my window and watch the performers from the Star of Honolulu when they would perform outside. I will also say it’s great to hear the live music from hooters sometimes but when you’re trying to study on a Friday night not so much lol but my roommate actually worked at hooters there so me and my other roommate visited her at work often
Great video, I had to watch all the way to the end. I loved how each location was talked about and explained thoroughly, and I felt as if the information was presented in an objective way. The video includes many beautiful locations, and even a look into the college dorms. This video will definitely be getting a like from me 🤓

Okay so I’m a sophomore in college, I start my classes tomorrow but I really want to go to HPU. My gpa has really dropped in college and im scared I won’t be able to bring it up this semester instead of bringing it even more down, since I’m taking all hard science courses. I was honestly thinking of taking a year off from my college this year, so that means since I would have only 23 creds from my freshman year, I would be able to just rely on my high school transcript which I feel 1000% more safer with. But idkkk ahah sorry this was long, I kinda wanna opinion. Plus I was thinking about nursing

I read some articles saying that hpu was working on joining the premed classes from the loa campus to the downtown campus. is that true? also how do you like living in hawaii? tysm

Just went to fort st mall today. Most of the restaurants have gone out of business this year, including the brewery at aloha tower. How has the Covid / etc affected the students !? I did not see anyone
i know i am a bit late, but i do have a few questions, if anyone happens to see this. i'm really young, 13 years old, and i'm bored during quarantine so i was looking up colleges i would LIKE to go to, but not for certain. this is DEFINITELY my top pick. this really helped me see the campus so thank you so so much. my questions are: is there a softball field? if so (if it's possible during covid), could you maybe show it? are sport scholarships available for this school or will i have to pay? thanks again, this really helped!
Hey I have a question and the question is I live in the us and I want to go there when I get my degree in acting can I go back to us and start acting there instead of Hawaii.
Athletics aren't a big focus compared to a traditional public state university. I've only gone to a few girls volleyball games. We also don't have a football team(but most students go to UH's games which is close by).
They're both super different so it really depends on what type of university experience you're looking for :). HPU is much smaller and has a non traditional campus. It's in the middle of downtown Honolulu and spread out around the Island. UHM will give you the traditional university feel

I am going into their marine biology program through Carroll University in Wisconsin! After a year I will be in HPU. So excited! I’m from Wyoming :)
I just applied to HPU from New Hampshire for the same thing!! The campus and city are beautiful, and Hawaii is the PERFECT area for marine biology!!

HPU is private so that means tuition is the same for non residents and residents. They have automatic scholarship consideration:)

What was the moving process like? Also what is the requirement in terms of GPA and SAT to your knowledge?
I shipped all of my things from GA to HI. Other than that, it wasnt too bad.
I'm not aware of a requirement but my GPA was a 3.0 and I had an 1010 SAT score
