You can obviously tell the bird actually loves her alot because it allows the owner to kiss it and when she pulls away the bird start to flaps its wings to signal to keep kissing her.
thats nothing i diddent need to even get my budgi all i did is open its cage shout its name tap my are and it flew over and it would never bite me once
+Young Hye no, look at the bird tried to escape and "screamed", do you even know something about budgies? And the poor budgie is living alone in the cage
1st of all, budgies are not brainless at all. I've had birds all my life, I've been a bird specialist, and I have four of my own and one cockatiel and they are the smartest pets I've ever had. they are potty trained, play games, talk, know commands, phrases, and how to get around. Birds are social creatures. however, as long as they are getting the attention they need whether it's a human or another bird, they are fine. obviously, that bird is well taken care of. I'm so sick of know it all's and negativity. stfu! If anyone knows birds, it's me. And she's a great mommy to that bird. It's good to see ppl treating birds the same way cats and dogs are treated. cats and dogs are social too. any living thing is. people think dogs or cats are fine alone. no they really aren't. fish too. the only fish that likes to be alone is the beta fish.
The bird is in love with her like a mate. She is raising her tail up when the woman kisses her. The budgie wants to mate with her. Also, she looks as though she may be growing an egg.
The bird ran around at first because of instinctual curiosity. This Budgie does indeed love its mother and you can tell she has treated it well or it wouldn't allow her to put her face near it. Have a heart folks.
Ok, can we stop with the negative comments please... wow! My bird is no longer with me, she died over a year ago and I did nothing but nurture and take care of her. She was a very special bird. Also, the other one in the cage was battery operated in case you all need to know.
traceyrandell I just get a bird just like that's how can I teach it to get on my finger is been a week now and he just sit n 1place help me I really like my bird
Moniqua Dee They love kissing noises...or gentle clicking, their curiosity gets the better of them so they will come closer to your mouth to hear better...
people are so naive. that bird is obviously happy. she is singing and giving kisses. if you noticed the bird eventually hopped on her finger and she didnt have to push on her chest to entice her. im sorry you most your bird they are like family, so sad. you can view some terrible bird owners on youtube but you are not one of them.
Haha...she sure is. That's a mating stance she does when she looks like she goes into a trance. What a beautiful bird. I lost my little budgie last week, she used to do the same thing with me. Treasure your little friend, just beautiful :)
as a parrot owner, I see rude comments, now if the bird did not want to be near or on her she would fly off. she would not be all fluffed up either. sometimes a bird doesn't want to be messed with and they have their moments, this woman did take great care of this bird.
Sorry for your loss. We lost a pionus last fall. He was a rescue bird that was about 4 when we got him. He died at about 10 which was middle age for this species. But this guy had triglyceride issues. Two vets could not help. Part of Life and Death. I prefer Life. -- I hope you have a bird rescue group nearby and start to visit them. I'm sure you'll find another lovely bird who needs you.
+OrbitalFFA When *any* bird that is prey to predators is terrified they will fly away. Seriously, it's as simple as that. If they're so terrified then why are they staying there to be eaten?
I am sorry you lost her. I had a parakeet who never left my side and would do that same thing. vet said they do that because they are preparing to mate! I was so surprised
shes pulsating her bum lol, my budgie is tame like this too, i can kiss stroke him etc but he doesnt go into a trance, he loves everybody, his cage is open all day everyday so he comes and goes as he pleases. budgies are great pets.
Tracey, I am so sorry for your loss. These stupid people in the comments have no idea what it feels like to have a bird pass. You were absolutely not hurting that bird in anyway possible. You gave that bird a wonderful life. I don't understand why you are getting all the hate. Again, so sorry for your loss 😢💞💞
Thanks for your reply :) Some of the hate comments are hilarious! People don't know how to spell anymore lol. Anyway, I know I was a good bird owner. She was a very sweet loving bird. I wish she could have lived forever. She was special. The blue one in the cage is not real(battery operated) so now I am without a beautiful sweet bird :(
I have several budgies, cockatiels and parrots, i love them a lot, they r like my kids, even i've lost some of these birds for silly reasons, each time a bird passes away, my world drowns in an ocean of gloom
Oooh! She's so adorible!! And she had a very nice cage, what a sweet little bird I love her. And the colors are so vibrant!!! :D I can tell you take great care of her.
Aww, they are well taken care of, and I'm sorry for your loss. I wrote the following comment to another person that hasn't a clue as to how much we love these little guys, I thought you might want to see what I told him/her about a pet budgie. My COMMENT: Freddie is not LOCKED in her cage. She has the freedom to hang out on top of her cage, to play with her toys, look in her mirror, nibble on her parsley, lettuce, and broccoli and her bathtub is located on top of the cage, she has the freedom to go on a rope outside her open door, fly onto my shoulder whenever she wants, and occasionally, the kitchen table, the end table in the living room, walks around on the floor, lands on my laptop and looks over the screen, and there couldn't be a happier bird in Pennsylvania. She says at least 13 words, she chirps, she makes every happy budgie sound that you could imagine. She gets so excited when family comes to visit. In her cage, her water, food cup with seeds, and her treats. Lots of newspapers line the bottom of the cage, and are changed 2x a day. At night, lights go out, I tell Freddie, "get ready for beddy Freddie," and she goes right into her cage onto her ladder where she likes to spend the night. So the moral to my story is, she has been talked to, taken care of, by me, since she was 6 weeks old. She knows of no other way of life, and she's extremely happy. I've had her since she was a baby after she was able to leave her mother, and started eating on her own.
Sorry to hear about your bird passing away.....we had a parakeet years ago(male) that my youngest taught it to talk. He could say about 50-60 words. He lived for 4 yrs.....My son named him 'Bubba"
I'm sorry you lost your bird, I lost mine, he was a Grackle I found on the ground at about 5 days old, had him five months till he went to a licensed rehabber. Best friend I've ever had. 🙏
What a sweetheart Parakeets are so sweet I had a parakeet myself he was my first pet they are just so sweet and one of the most loveable birds you can own them and Love birds are from what I had personally are very loveable and just sweet little birds to own.
I don't get why they call you a bad owner. That cage isn't huge, but it's definitely enough to keep a budgie healthy and happy! The way the budgie is so affectionate with it's owner should be more than enough proof that budgie loves her!
I can't stress enough the importance of not having the brown furry hut in their home. I know this is an old upload but if you still keep budgies and have this in their home, please take it out ASAP!
Awwwh !! I hope it lives for a long time, but I want to warn you if your considering to get another one make sure the budgie is lively and well cause some who lay there heads down and look sleepy could be sick or about to die, and kill your budgie (God forbid) don't make that mistake. It's easy to choose if you observe carefully in the pet shop, and to make sure I put the new one in another cage for a day or less close to it,so I know it's safe
Why is everyone hating on this video? She is literally only basically saying she loves her bird. You guys don’t have to say rude comments about this video as it’s really rude and it’s counted as ‘cyber bulliying’ so if you don’t have anything nice to say, DONT SAY IT! Would you want your family to see your nasty comment? I don’t think so.

Hello I'm just saying that my budgie when I carry it ..... It bites me I've tried everything to be nice and gave it food it just gets scared and flys off my hand how do I tame my bird.. ❤️
Try putting your hand in the cage 3 times a day for 5 minutes each time, try that for a week, then start putting your hand kn with some type of treat and when they get used of that get a small perch and get them to step onto it, everyday move your hand further down the perch until she eventually has no choice but to step up then start doing without the perch put your finger against the birds chest and say "step up" and it will soon be on your finger

This budgie is so beautiful; just like the wild type. So much more beautiful than the grotesque Show or "British" types.
soooo cuuuutte........ omg... instant cuteness overload.
The bird is fucking terrified, how is that cute?
OrbitalFFA ok, so i didn't see the bird was scared before, no need to get worked up over it, ok?
+OrbitalFFA When *any* bird that is prey to predators is terrified they will fly away. Seriously, it's as simple as that. If they're so terrified then why are they staying there to be eaten?

These birds are supposed to live for well over a decade. You fucked something up.
Tracey Walsh get a couple or more, I think they're always better off in groups of their own, even though they can bond successfully with people.
crashstitches79 can you stop being so rude? Jeez, you guys have serious issues!

Very pretty bird :) she is so loved and she knows it.
Lol, looks like she was ready to mate. Sorry for your loss

Aww what a cutie!! I cried while watching this 😭I'm so sorry that she passed away prayers!❤️
Your bird looks my traumatized than anything XD
The body language indicates she sees you as a mate so this is pure affection
My bird used to make that body posture too, then it started laying eggs. I loved that bird
This is hilarious! My girl budgie does exactly the same thing lol
It’s worse if you have a male budgie tho- they’ll wipe their butt on your finger… like mine… 💀
The way the bird is positioned shows that she wants to mate ! I guess she loves you very very much haha

Hi Tracey, beautiful bird, sorry for your loss. I think it's a female because of its mating posture when you were kissing it. Thanks for uploading.
clearly you loved that bird and I'm sure that bird loved you right back. People in the comments are being creeps and losers I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.
people can be mean. your bird is beautiful. My budgie just died this week and i miss him

omg i have a green budgie too!!and my sistwr has a blue one
Budgies surely should not be alone. They should have the right of an Budgeriar friend
but u can tame them better if theyre alone
There were two birds in the cage
XD That was a plastic bird
That bird is scared not in love. It was trying to get away from you in the beginning and it's eyes are wide open and her breathing is really fast. When i first got my birds thats how they reacted.

I'm shocked that she died that bird was really CUTE
They look so happy! Can you tell me what cage that is?
You have a nice parrots
Just for future reference, that was pretty bad hormonal behavior. It was sweet to see her so happy, but it wasn’t healthy behavior. One cause I did see was the fluffy log in the cage. Those cause them to feel like they’re in a nest and causes so many issues in birds.
My bird was like that with me all the time after 10 years she died it broke my heart .
That bird needs a friend, if u know what im talking about ;)
It's so cute

People are always ready to talk negative and demonise good people, ignore them.
0:40. Is her vent dirty? It seemed like it to me. (Area where (and around) poop comes out)
This could mean your bird is sick.
This is so cute
Thats cool my budgie stands on my finger and everything but bites me when I try to pet it lol
Thats so cute ! You are lucky ! I have three and they hate me :( even tough I cherish them, R they ( I saw 2) still alive ??
