I can’t believe there are vegan and gf options at Alabama! When I was in college at UCSB omg 20 years ago there weren’t even options in the dining halls. So glad to hear that your house supports you in eating what’s right for you and your body. Nutrition is such a personal thing!
I would probably take a whole bunch of snacks to store in my room so I could eat at any time if I was hungry and too lazy to leave my room or if it is late at night.

Girl I’m gluten-free and the best way to eat a burger or chicken sandwich (personal opinion) is to wrap it in lettuce. Five guys does this perfectly. Also chick fil a has an AMAZING gluten-free bun
It’s crazy how much you probably spend additional to what you pay additional to your meal plan 😳. I can just imagine to how much this adds up by the end of the month, but this feeling could be just me not being from the US and used to cheap, nice universities anyways 😂. We love you Lauren!

I didnt realize how often you get Starbucks you have a coffee maker in your sorority house 😱 I def would be using that coffee maker every day instead of getting Starbucks 😅
My wife and I are huge Alabama football fans living in North Dakota. Our Bullmastiff is even named Tua😂 We've drove down to Tuscaloosa with the kids for a week the last 3 years for a game. Fun to watch your stuff and see some familiar places down there!

I have celiac disease (Gluten Allergy) so if you really feel that way, you should definitely get tested for it as well. Especially if you're Irish or it runs in your family.
I am currently in college and in a sorority and I am extremely lactose intolerant, I’m allergic to broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, blueberries and almonds they are very good at accommodating for my allergies a lot of the girls in my sorority don’t have dairy allergies so they have soy milk for me and many dairy free options for meals and snacks but it is so hard not to grab a yogurt parfait for breakfast some days
How or when do you pay for all the food? Is there a fee where the food is included? We dont have sororities in Europe and I find the concept very interesting. 😊

If you are avoiding gluten you need to find out if they are using a dedicated fryer because if they aren't, you are eating cross contaminated fries.

Basically they pay a fee at the beginning of the year for a meal plan that's part of the cost to live in a sorority house! Hope that helped.
