I just realized what the problem with this challenge is. In champion you basically have 50% players with plat mechanics but pretty decent game sense and positioning and 50% players with god awful platinum game sense and insane mechanics. Which makes this so hard to tell.

Last time the ranks changed I went from low champ to champ 3 without doing anything different at all. It has nothing to do with region. Take into account that they are nervous since they will be on a video for everyone to judge them and they only get one chance to do everything so they won't nail it all. You act like Champs rarely play like this but lots of Champs are trash
I know how it feels, I represented champs in two videos a while back. I didn't play my best but I sure as hell wasn't as bad as these dudes. My theory is he got the lowest rated or newest champs so the plat would have an easier time.
5 Grandchamps, 1 Champ, and 1 SSL. The Champ and SSL need to figure out who the other is, and vote them out, whilst the GCs needs to vote out the SSL and Champ. Unsure if this has been done, already
He just explained it poorly, he basically means the SSL and Champ need to find eachother to win without getting spotted by the GCS. Basically this video but its to separate ranks that need to spot eachother without getting caught.

You should do this again with higher ranks, I’d recommend gc2 and an odd man being c3. The difference between gc and champ is pretty big. Should be interesting

Idk i got my guess for rosalina on the air dribble, and then in the 3v3 it was obv he was the plat, like he coupdnt get a play, it was all 1 touch plays and couldnt keep control of the ball for sht

You people seem to forget that there is of course a little pressure on the champs there, since they don't want to be called out as a plat and they know this will be on youtube. I am c2/c3 myself and of course i can do better bounce and air dribbles then the ones we saw in this video. But definitely not consistent and when you have to perform under pressure things change radically. This is my favorite version. I like it when everyone is encouraged to do their best. I don't like it when higher ranks are supposed to sandbag it. The plat could be diamond in no time. Missed a few open nets but had good defense and was a calm team player.
The difference in rank from region to region is insane, these guys all played like diamonds and the plat was obviously new to the game and lacked confidence in car control.
Either the plat was warmed and playing well or the champs are under pressure xD It was so hard to find whos bad especially on the 3v3 due to inconsistency, plat did real well there , Enioyed the video

I should’ve known. It was the way he turned on the ball during the 3v3 game that made me certain he wasn’t a plat. I never would’ve thought of doing that as plat. I didn’t trust myself to be able to react & move the ball down field. But I’m also a solid solo queue player. I thought waluigi during the 3v3 but definitely not anymore after the dribble challenge.

I have an idea for another kind of Odd Man Out Rocket League video. Although for this challenge you don't tell them what the rank is of the odd man out. Which will mean they're constantly in fear of the better and worse playing members cause they may be that odd man out. (Essentially they will be thinking the Odd Man Out could be a Plat, or even a SSL, the rank could be above or below theirs.)
I swear as soon as this video stated 2 mins into the video it was instantly Rosalina. I’m a champ 3 and personally Ik for a fact if your a champ using tw fennec and shakey mechanics then there’s no way ur a champ. But this was a great upload love the odd man outs

I dropped plat 3 D3 to gold 3 D4 in an hour and a half and haven’t touched the game since. I would love to see this game add in voice chat so we can actually develop chemistry with random people.
Honestly, if you play with higher ranked players most of the time. You're probably gonna rank up the fastest out of any method, not from boosting, but because as long as you stay engaged with the gameplay, you're going to have to try fit in.
Maybe it's added pressure, but I see Champs doing all sorts of aerials when I'm coaching my c1/low c2 team. I will say I see a variety of mechanical skill in low Champ, so maybe I'd just chalk it up to that.

Figured this one out in the first challenge. I’m D2 in 2s, but Plat 3 in 3s and I see so many of them not able to bounce dribble or go ground to air like that
I guessed right :) It was the 2 minute gameplay that gave it away for me and I was pretty confident after the, all the mechanical stuff can be very deceiving. But you could see his decision making was off during the gameplay
i believe the biggest tell away for the plat was recommending to dribble AROUND THE FREAKING CENTER CIRCLE. He really meant to dribble around that small circle to prove to be a champ (either they misunderstood him or just decided to ignore the tight circle off-the recording edit) Im sure that could be hard for even gc, hell, some ssl might struggle to control the ball tighlty around that curve consistently. It just shows a lack of experience-based knowledge. And this one cannot go noticed as a mere mechanic mistake.
Ok this video was real hard to decide who it was because all of them were so bad for champ level... I'm diamond and have been told by GCs that I play like a champ but it hurts my soul to see that these people got into champ...
I would say I would probably struggle to do most of these mechanics, and just pull them out of my hat. The bounce dribbles I do fairly often in 1s followed by a power shot, but I struggle to get good setups in freeplay for some reason (maybe I am tired). TLDR: I am c3 in 2s but my mechanics would probably look like these champs.
As the one mechanical move I can do as a champ 1. The ground to air dribble was my favourite part becouse I know how hard they are from a still ball on your car
I’m really surprised that so many champs had issues with bounce dribbling. I’m a low champ, and I literally can ONLY bounce dribble. I have zero mechanics, so I bounce dribble because it’s easier than actually carrying the ball and flicking or doing air dribbles lol
For those who think they are boosted: Being Champ in NA is different from being Champ in EU. NA champs are plat in EU maybe diamond. Now im not shaming those na champs, im just clearing out for those trash talkers. So they might be boosted, but still, remember the fact that the standards are lower in NA than EU. Plus, they might be nervous.
to me hat gave away that roselina was the plat was the comms, no one ever comms in those games but you could see he was doing all he could to make sure that he didnt make any mistakes that couldnt be deflected, he played it exactly like I would have tried to if I was him... i believe the biggest tell away for the plat was recommending to dribble AROUND THE FREAKING CENTER CIRCLE. He really meant to dribble around that small circle to prove to be a champ (either they misunderstood him or just decided to ignore the tight circle off-the recording edit) Im sure that could be hard for even gc, hell, some ssl might struggle to control the ball tighlty around that curve consistently. It just shows a lack of experience-based knowledge. And this one cannot go noticed as a mere mechanic mistake.
Ok this video was real hard to decide who it was because all of them were so bad for champ level... I'm diamond and have been told by GCs that I play like a champ but it hurts my soul to see that these people got into champ...
I would say I would probably struggle to do most of these mechanics, and just pull them out of my hat. The bounce dribbles I do fairly often in 1s followed by a power shot, but I struggle to get good setups in freeplay for some reason (maybe I am tired). TLDR: I am c3 in 2s but my mechanics would probably look like these champs.
As the one mechanical move I can do as a champ 1. The ground to air dribble was my favourite part becouse I know how hard they are from a still ball on your car
I’m really surprised that so many champs had issues with bounce dribbling. I’m a low champ, and I literally can ONLY bounce dribble. I have zero mechanics, so I bounce dribble because it’s easier than actually carrying the ball and flicking or doing air dribbles lol
For those who think they are boosted: Being Champ in NA is different from being Champ in EU. NA champs are plat in EU maybe diamond. Now im not shaming those na champs, im just clearing out for those trash talkers. So they might be boosted, but still, remember the fact that the standards are lower in NA than EU. Plus, they might be nervous.

to me hat gave away that roselina was the plat was the comms, no one ever comms in those games but you could see he was doing all he could to make sure that he didnt make any mistakes that couldnt be deflected, he played it exactly like I would have tried to if I was him... GGs to the plat even though he didnt win
