Thank you so much! I just got this and had a clog on the top needle making it so neither the K-Cup or own-brew attachments would work there, 2 minute clean and it's running like a dream again.
Just A Dad, you really came to my rescue with this ultra-helpful video!!! Thanks so, so much for Sharing it!! I was so angry and flustered trying to figure out why my week-old Hamilton Beach FlexBrew Trio Coffee Maker wouldn't make any more K-Cup coffee! Were it not for your simple instructions that worked like a charm, I was going to look for the Return Shipping label to start my process of asking for a refund. Those watching the video, be sure to watch the whole thing. At the end, Just A Dad tells you that it's wise to throw away your K-Cup pods, not long after you use them, if not right away. I believe I unknowingly added to my clogged K-Cup dispenser problem, because I was leaving the pods in, sometimes for over a day. Aaaaahhh! Now, back to my freshly prepared single cup of coffee. :) A Million Thanks!!
Who would have known that a paperclip would have saved me a trip to the store for a new coffee maker. Followed your instructions, cleaned/scaled the main and single serve makers, and now I’m as good as new.
Hello and Thank you for this video! When I have something wrong with anything my 1st impulse is to check YT for an instruction video...low and behold, your video did the trick for me this morning! I really appreciate these types of instructions 😊
Thank you! I have just a two week old new model trio and the noise it was making had me wanting to return it. Cleaned the needles and the top one was super clogged! No more weird noise, thank you!
Wow! This was easier than I thought! Had the “overload” message on my Hamilton flex brew and kept thinking it must be the water so I tried checking that system to no avail. Sure enough, it was the needles 😅 Thank you!
Thank you! Worked perfectly! Never had an issue with my old Keurig machine needles, but these seem bigger, and my top needle was visibly/completely stuffed with coffee grounds. (Side note: For those that don’t have paper clips handy, use of a sewing pin or needle can also work. Don’t use these options on the upper hose, though.) Thanks, again.
Thank you so much for making this video! My wife and I love ours and only had it a few days before it started giving us issues. Quick clean and she's up and running again! 😊
Thank you so much, you are a life saver. Just got ours and was using it a few weeks before Christmas and is got clogged right on Christmas day when the family came over. I was so depressed and then I stumbled across your video. I had no idea I had to clean the needle. Ty ty ty ty! 😊
I was so upset this morning not being able to have my morning cup of coffee. 🤦🏻♀️ I pulled out my old generic machine fixed my coffee and found your video. It seems my needle was clogged on the upper k-cup side and what do you know it’s working!! Thank you for your help I’m a happy lady now! 😉
Didn't work for me. Instead of brewing a k- cup it pumps the water over into the carafe water tank. How do you fix that? On the k- cup side I might get only a 2 oz coffee out put if I'm lucky. So again, how do you fix this issue????
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!!! Like other people on here were committing; I too was ready to throw it away! Thanks to you, it's working as if it was Brand New. 🙂
I have the same unit. It's about 2 months old. For the past 2 weeks I get an "overload" error whenever I brew a single cup. The machine also does not brew the proper size cup. If I select 10oz, I might get 6oz in the cup, etc. Any thoughts on what is going wrong? Thank you!
Pipe cleaner brushes with plastic bristles work really well for the bottom needle and can work for the top but it wont run all the way thru like it does for the bottom needle you need to put it in as far as it goes and twist it all the way around. This works better then the paperclip method
Same issue here too. Needle and cup spike both have been cleaned with a wire. On a 14 oz run on the single side about half get into the carafes reservoir. It also sounds like its being starved of water at the heat source. Instead of study hot stream it sputters and burps and when you open carafes lid it below the steam out.
What if all the water I put for the single cup goes into the garage water filling somehow from 10 ounces cup I get 2 and the rest of the water goes there, why do you think it’s that ? Please help
I did gently tap it on the counter (and on top) like another person suggested. I did run water through the K-Cup thing two or three times and noticed coffee grounds in the coffee cup both times. Slowly it stopped leaking back into the carafe water well with no more coffee grounds coming out. Now it seems to be working perfectly. It just needs to be cleaned out with clear water cycles frequently, I'm thinking.
Just bought this unit last week and getting the dreaded single side no-brew-filling-carafe-side-instead. I think we are going to return it and get separate units
Hey! Question, the one I have stopped making coffee on the single cup side, and this morning my mom was able to get it to work again but just now it says overload and wont make the coffee, I've already cleaned the needles and tried flipping it over and around to get the water out but it still says the same thing
Wow sorry about this. Not sure what it could be if the needles are clean. I have had a couple viewers report problems with this machine. I would give hamilton beach a Call.
Just got one of these(used unfortunately) and the single sever side just brews hot steaming water into the h2o tank for the pot side. The needles are 100% clean. There is a port behind the large basket where the water/steam is coming out. It's like there is a plug missing. Any ideas?
Hi, unfortunately this did not work. I can't figure out whether I need to buy a new one or just fix it. So whenever I try to make coffee from the K-cup side, it doesn't work it just makes a big noise, for example(the best way I can) KRKRKRHRHK. If you could help me that would be great.
There is a microswitch that has to make when you close the lid. it is on the right side looks like a black plastic button when you push it down. I just did a video on how to open this machine up, I will be posting it in the next coupel days
Have a Hamilton Beach brew station that dispenses coffee super slow, it feels like it takes two minutes to fill up one cup I have used vinegar to Descale but pretty sure there’s more to it, any ideas? I did see one guy use an air compressor to blow into lines and thought I might give that a try
Just got this for Christmas; the carafe side works; k cup side will not dispense water. Needle is completely clean as its never been used? Water is 'bubbling' but not getting down to the kcup. Using I think the correct buttons etc? Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
New coffee maker, FlexBrew Trio. I am running the clean water wash on the single serve side. It keeps saying FIL H20. I have over the minimum in the reservior. What else do I need to do??
Question I just purchased mine and have only made around 20 single serve cups. Today mine started leaking kinda where the handle is tool lift the top but it was coming out as the kcup color like it was overflowing the kcup itself.
Were you able to clean both the top and bottom needle? Make sure the gray K cup adapter is installed. Does it do it with other brands of K cups some brands are not made very well?
@@JustADad So both needles were fine. It was the hole under the kcup adapter that the liquid goes through to enter the cup. Wife was leaving kcups in it so I would imagine that caused it to gunk up. It was very very little but just enough.
We use the other part for not k cups but for your own ground coffee beans. No issues with it coming out but even on bold, it is a very weak brew. Any ideas?
Hi. Has anyone gotten a Overload error on the screen when using the single cup? I watched the video and have clean all the needles. Thanks for any help.
@@JustADad yes, will start to brew and stop and on the screen says overload. There’s another strange issue you might know. I only use single brew and the water end up on the pot side. Not sure what causes it, or when it happens because it’s not constant

Okay, I cleaned the bottom and the top needles. The bottom one was fine but the top one was clogged. I ran a water test through the single cup side and it is still routing coffee to the back of the carafe side in the water well. What in the world?
