Bernice's husband (Ian Robles) is level 9 writing to start off with. It might not be too hard to get him that last level of writing skill to assign Vivienne's book of life. Then its still kinda made by a family member, being her half-brother's mom's husband.

Instead of the book room having a vault door, you could put the floor to ceiling windows along the front. Makes them a 'seeable display' but no-one can enter the room and take the books. Also if you save a copy of the room to your library then if anything goes wrong you have a back up copy of the room! You could cheat Camillo's writing skill to 10, assign Vivien's book and then cheat his skill back down to whatever it was and he can then gift the book to Vivien and she can make a copy.

Reading the Book of Life when the Sim is still alive refills all of their needs. Someone else can even read the book when the Sim is at work or school and it works.

Suggestion for her little outdoor reading space: You could swap the towel you placed for the quilted blanket from the Little Campers Kit. Maybe add a picnic basket too. That way she'd always have cool drinks/snacks with her while reading outdoors and could invite other tiny towners along for a relaxing afternoon.

At this point, I'm convinced Pablo hangs out at Scarlet's so much because he misses the outdoors and real plants down in his vault and Scarlet has the most outdoorsy house of all of them😂😂

Thanks for trying to do the consecutive episodes! It was great, but if it tired you out or burned you out to the point that it took a week to recuperate, I'd rather have less episodes in a week.
I think he might've also been recording lovestruck episodes already. And he's been doing member exclusive stuff on the side. I am absolutely not surprised that that all got too much 🙈
I love how the Welcome Wagon brought over a lovely fruitcake, and Vivienne didn't even wait for them to leave, before scraping it into the bin, she just did it right in front of them 🤣🤣🤣
For future reference the crystal creations stuff if you make an orange topaz crystal when charged makes it to where your sim doesn't get writer's block & gets creative skill up faster
Silas's house style reminds me of mexican style houses (with the big courtyard and the wall colors), many of which could end up looking pretty boho, like Frida Kahlo's house (which is all blue). And considering many of the Jungle Adventure furniture looks pretty south american-ish but also pretty boho, I think it would be an interesting take on the house

Agreed! It reminds me a lot of the Mini Casita from Disney Dreamlight Valley which is just a smaller version of Mirable's house from Encanto.
James messing up the family ties between his Sims like calling Reuben Viv's brother (when he is in fact her nephew) encapsulates the chaos of the Bigwallet family tree so well, it never fails to be funny to me for some reason
I thought the family is canonically from another universe, technically not apart of the Bigwallets. Didn’t James start a new save for the every life stage challenge, as the main save was bugging out from FR EP?

@@FanOfZigzagoonThese Sims ARE Bigwallets. They all exist in the other LP so it would be weird like marrying family, even if from alternate universe. They still have exact duplicate family counterparts in the Bigwallet LP.
These sims are definitely not bigwallets, this is a totally different save

When you clicked on The Book of Krystoff when it was on the pedestal, it showed an option to Create Copy for 68 Simoleons. Idk why the option wasn't there in your inventory. But this way you can have all the Books of Life in the vault room and still publish each one. Also maybe Semaj should get a Book of Life also, since he is the patriarch of Tiny Town.
James, something I really admire about your videos is your ability to laugh about how broken this game is. I know I get really frustrated with the bugs and I can't imagine I'd be very pleasant to watch 😂 Thanks for the good vibes!
I think you should have a cut crystal mounted as well in the room with the books of life to represent the entity that raised all of the family as well

I love that creative was already a trait that she had ( shows it at 23:06I think it came up during a discovery option before) and you added it again during her re-traits 😂 I feel like you should be able to give her another one!
They need to patch the retraiting potion I think! It doesn't account for traits earned in gameplay.

Remove Decoration Box from your Holiday and that will stop the holiday decorations from being put up all over the place. Also, LittleMsSam has a mod that lets you hire maids and gardeners over the weekend.
for the books vault, maybe Reuben came take a picture of every townie and James can put behind each!!!
also, it'd be cool to make a book for Raul and Kyra too, and myb put them on the ground or a shelf near their families
edit: if James want to cheat and make, like, Rahul or any other character level ten on writing just to make Viv's book, I'm completely okay w/ that!!
I was going to suggest cheating a lvl 10 writing then cheat it back down once they assign Vivian’s book

I think you've got characters muddled. Silas is the photographer; Rueben is baking/cooking.
at 1:12:30 I Love the graffiti art on the door, and while I love the idea that it was "always there" and she kept it in as a feature for her home; I personally like to think that it was Kristof who painted it for her as a gift or something, seeing as he's the painter in the family. With Tiny Town being a close knit community of siblings, I like to imagine that they each contributed to things in their own way. The artwork and photos around the place being Kristof and Silas, all the gardens both in the community area and around all the homes being done by Scarlett, or all the books being either written or bought or found in flea markets by Vivian, etc, etc.
Rueben running into Vivienne's room to hide in her bed bc he's scared is giving off "I'm safe with Aunt Vivienne" vibes and I actually love that. Though it is weird that sims randomly do that, I'll admit it.
I think a fluffy rug in the reading nook under the stairs would be lovely.

When James went down to the ground floor and clicked on the fruitcake whilst complaining about it, the game started lagging.
Vivienne could mentor someone and get them to level 10 to teach him them to write her book. Agree with other, have Krystoff paint a portrait of the tiny towers to put behind their books of life and remove the door and put them behind glass walls to be seen but not touched until required. 😂
I liked the idea you said about putting solar panels on the roof cause there’s pink ones that will look really cute
James, a Sim needs to have the Poetic Trait as well as Writing Skill 10 to be able to capture the Life Saga of a Sim for the Book Of Life. This is only for Sims who has completed the Best-Selling Author Aspiration. So, maybe you can cheat one of the townies writing skill to level 10 and cheat the Poetic Trait for them to do Vivienne's Book of Life.

Theoretically it would be really cool to do a recessed alcove for each book of life, so you have the pedestal with the book and then a painting or picture of each sim behind them as well.
Tiny town is actually such a fun way to populate and build a sims save if you’re not using For Rent! I’ve seen a lot of simmers do the challenge in Newcrest where they assign each lot to a sim 😊 That way you end up “building” the town for specific sims, and then you make the community lot everyone builds together in the middle catered to them. I think it works best in newcrest, but it can totally apply in any world you want to build/rebuild!
Right now I’m doing the challenge in Sulani with 7 occult sims in the same lot (shipwrecked style!), but I’m thinking of doing it this other way next time I do the challenge.

Another thing that helps with writer's block is exercising, like running.

Make a copy of all the books you’ve written before publishing. And also u can copy the book of the dead several times Just take the book out of your sim inventory and put the book on the ground and copy it
copying the books reduces the quality (so bestseller becomes excellent)
to keep a copy at the same level, put them in a room, save it to your gallery, publish the book, download the room from the gallery
We would all want more tiny town, James! But we also want you to get your rest, too.
Also, I have alot of the lag issues too with my tiny town.
Only thing to really help me so far, has just been hitting the esc key and giving it a sec, then it tends to settle.

Each member of tiny town should have to use their skill to make something for another member. Like viv writes a book for krystoff, silas takes a photo of pablo, scarlett grows a pumpkin for reuben

Kristoff could paint a mural for Vivian's wall on the outside. All the creative sims could make a decoration for their siblings. Vivian did the book of life books. Kristoff could paint everyone a picture that goes with thei theme, and so on and so fourth.
Such a Reuben thing to do. A toddler into a grown man in a day crying in his AUNTY’s bed😂
Regarding the book of life idea: i like the idea with putting them all on a pedestal but to add extra you could have a portrait of each sim behind the books and pedestals to show who the book belongs to. And Krystoff could paint those portraits. Also you can get their dad to max writing skills (with cheats ofc) so he can do Vivienne’s book of life,

I love the idea of Vivienne being a cozy little book writer with a couple of cats and a wife who enjoys woodworking. Like, just the two of them and their cats chilling in Tiny Town. Viv sells her books, her wife sells the furniture she makes. Cozy vibes.
Either that or Viv with a bookworm wife who reads every single one of Viv's books.

All cat owners: Please can we watch you try and put booties on a cat. We would pay for that kind of entertainment/horror show.
I love the longer episodes so much. Perfect to fall asleep in the middle of and then watch again and again for several more nights lol
One thing I have noticed when you use the Re-trait Potion on a Sim who has maxed out their 6 personality traits with the self-discovery ones is, you actually lose ALL the ones that you have discovered in-game after you have change any of your traits. Not sure if this is a bug in the game or they just didn't take this into consideration when they introduced the self-discovery gameplay. So now, Vivienne is back to having only 3 personality traits instead of 6 and she will never be able to gain back any of the ones that she has self discovered unless you cheat them back for her. Because if I remember correctly, she actually also has the Family Oriented trait discovered during one of her episodes, now it's gone after you re-traited her. And of course her Ambitious trait is gone as well. (Which was what you wanted to get rid of anyways...) so, just thought I will let you know.
I actually googled it when I saw them gone in her panel after he did the potion. It seems like a bug. There was a thread on answers hq about it. People saying they couldn't get 3 discovery traits after. You CAN actually earn the same one again, but the game considers it as not having it anymore but the slot for the Discovery trait still taken. So like, someone who had 2 discovery traits when they did the restrainting potion could only get one again before it said they were maxed, but that 1 WAS one of the ones they had before. And someone who had all 3 complained they couldn't get anymore back after the potion.. so it definitely seems like a glitch.
James added back Creative when it had been an in game discovered one on her already, too. I saw other comments on that. 😢
You could put the vault behind a fake vault door too so that you can unlock it only for specific sims so that no one takes from it when they shouldn’t, and you don’t have to hack it each time.
Ruban can just make Vivian a plate of Ambrosia when he maxes his cooking skills. Then she's covered too :3
I ended up making cleaning a club activity in my tiny town 😂😂 they are ruthless with the random meals being left out

anyone else notice that after the retraiting potion, all the self-discovery traits were gone? Ambitious, Creative and Family-oriented were the 3 addl traits, but at 25:48 in the simology panel they are gone (although Creative is still there bc James added it as one of the main 3 traits). I didnt know the retraiting potion complete removed your self discovery traits.

Meditation for Writers block really helps! Also, I think taking a bath with soaks helps too.

For the vault room, you could build a 1X1 room for each pedestal, and put a glass window in each room so that sims won't still them and also put the books in the order of their births.

Can we have a tiny retirement town where every resident is an elder and they have to complete a random aspiration before they die? I'm not ready to say goodbye to tiny town 😅
Someone definitely suggested that to Deligracy, who made the challenge. Hope she does it. It’s always nice, of course, to see similar challenges done by different people because they will end up pretty different than one another.
Julia Wright is the sim who called Vivienne because another sim recommended they get to know each other.
Vivienne was actually already creative too 😆
