- Pope Francis vs Bishop Strickland (Altman, Vigano, Schneider and Muller). Is there a war in the Church between Bishop Strickland and Pope Francis among other bishops? Are dangerous lines being drawn? What should we think about Fr. Altman, Vigano, Schneider and others? Very dangerous and deadly schisms are now happening in the Church that all Catholics should be warned about.

I appreciate you Brian and Michael for the truth you promote. Keep it up for our Church need people like you
Thank you!
I simply started reading what the Pope actually says and I haven't seen what all the negativity of the Pope is about.
Agreed. Source documents are way more helpful.
It's so sad that people automatically default to reactionary emotionalism. It's the lazy man's way of reacting to these situations rather than looking up the facts.
His letter on the environment was outrageous, in my opinion. But not heretical.
It is also helpful to know Italian and Spanish so one can listen to Pope Francis untranslated.
People are upset because fake news Lifesite gives 1/2 quotes, leaves out sentences, looks for a word rather than the meaning of that word or does and interview and doesn’t release it for three weeks that same fake news crap paper makes stories that the interview proves is BS.
Thank you so much for this show. This clears up so much confusion and it’s sad that a small vocal minority can cause so much division. GOD bless Pope Francis.
This is an S tier crossover! big fan of both Michael and Bryan.
yes!
Michael's TH-cam channel is probably the best way to keep up too date with the news seeing the full facts. As protestant considering catholicism here the best thing we can do is pray. We all need to get together and unite around the sacraments and Rosery. Remember the battle of leponto.
Currently living with my anti Catholic parents so things have been difficult but I have been showing my parents what the early church teaching (hence Catholic teachings) and now my mom now understands that baptism is essential for salvation (But God isn't bound by it) as well as well as baptism regeneration. So please pray that their eyes will be opened
Praise God❤ God is good all the time. It's such a consolation to see conversions during such trying times. ❤️
❤❤❤❤❤❤
Please pray for the pope and the church.
Please pray for Bergoglio's conversion to Catholicism.

finally! Some level head people. Thank you both.
These guys are definitely God's boys as well as Pope Francis. They're balanced in their thinking and really do look at the facts.
This is what the church needs more of. God bless you guys. Keep up the good work.
I can relate with your way of thinking, my work for almost 2 decades has taught me to always collect all possibly available evidence, analyze and look for facts and make decision. While we can express our opinions in respectfull way, I believe Authority has to be recognized. I hope and pray this issue will not cause schism in my beloved one true Church.
A thousand thumbs up to you both!
God bless all of us, Amen 🙏
So it was ok to discipline Bishop Strickland but its ok for priest to promote homosexuality?
As a new convert this is discouraging
Thank you ,I realy needed to hear this, love your channel , keep up the great work, God bless
The Bellarmine thought experiment on the Roman pontiff, reminds me of a quote by Catherine of Siena that she would continue to be a Catholic even if the Pope was satan incarnate.
On the surface, it looks like heresy, but they're really saying they believe in Jesus when He says that the gates of hell won't prevail against His Church.
You really need to engage with the Holy Spirit to understand what they meant. Those who don't understand it are in desperate need of God's grace.
It's referred to as "the folly of the Saints.' St. Catherine's quote you referred to was hyperbole. Also, like St. Catherine of Sienna, you shouldn't suck the pus from the wounds of dying people because you see Christ in the suffering.
Excellent conversations. Thank you and keep up the good works for His glory!
I was confirmed this year. My sponsors were rad trads and sedevacantists. Thank god i listened to R&T before RCIA

@michaelhaywood8262 oh sorry... reason and theology, Michael lofton's youtube channel. Catholic truth, catholic answers, and patristic pillars were huge for me in conversion.
Great show guys. Two of my favorite Catholic apologists and speakers right here. Keep the truth shining and stand strong in the face of temptation to slander the Holy Father. Praying for you brothers. God bless you and keep up the good work!
Bryan, I don’t think you can get a better guest to discuss these issues than Michael Lofton @Reason&Theology! Every time I hear something controversial about Pope Francis and the Church, I go to Michael for his opinion because he does great research and states the truth and facts!
Yes he is very good and can compare him to Dr. David Anders of called to communion.
Thanks for that info @GrandmaLynn

I really appreciate you taking the time to explain the facts to everyone and defending our holy Father. My only concern is if his Eminence can punishment Bishop Strickland, Bishop Torres and Fr. Altman, he can just as easily do so to James Martin, Cdl. Cuppich and others who support teachings contrary to our Lord. God bless you Brian and keep up the great work. I really appreciated your conversion story and your kids are absolutely precious. Viva Cristo Rey

Happy to see your guest when I clicked on the video.
I'm still Protestant but I love your videos. I was hoping you would do one on this controversy since I know almost nothing about it.
You should come to Mass!
Thank you , as a RC I am glad you like the channel.
Lovely to have you visit us. God bless you.
Please don’t let this stuff push you away from the church. Whatever side Catholics are on this issue, we all have the best intentions at heart. We all want the church to thrive!
Jtra, so glad. Feel free to let us know what you think or if you have any questions. :) Glad you're here on our channel! God bless you.
I am a former anti Catholic Protestant that converted directly by the Grace of Jesus Christ. I highly suggest you pray for the truth and guidance of Jesus Christ and also read from christians within the first couple hundred years after Christ before there ever even was a Bible.
I’m happy to help you if you wish. God bless!
i just dont understand why bishop stickland is removed but the german biishops are still bishps.
That's the elephant in the room.
We talked about that toward the end of the video.
As a non-believer, it's obvious that the pope is nudging the church to a more progressive path. Whether that's good or bad does not concern me. It's fascinating to see how factions of this ancient institution are wrestling with this development, though.
Why do you think it's obvious? Have you actually read his statements? Or are you just listening to the news media?
I just can't understand how a letter, that is basically a lot of ad hominem statements about the Pope could be considered a great letter..
Ad hominem is putting it super nicely
@43:28 very true! Some well known people I thought would never leave have left 😢. Hopefully, by God's grace they will return.
I have considered joining your channel for a long time. I like how you express your love for the Church but sometimes you followed the media narrative and that kept me undecided. Now that you seem to be aware of it I have gladly joined 😃
Welcome! Thanks for watching!
Michael is an absolute rock. Someone very accurately described him as a David up against Goliath. I didn't realize how much he was taking until I read the comments on other sites describing him. Comments that had no bearing whatsoever with the reality of who Michael actually is. His moral courage is incredible. It often comes down to one man. That one man in this instance is Michael.
Yes, people are sadly unChristian when talking about these things and about him.
Thank you so much I have learned a lot about my faith by watching your videos
I'm so glad!
I love your channel. I recently was interviewed by Dustin Quick. At the 38:30 mark we start talking about the spiritual goods of obeying the pope. You might enjoy it.
Thanks, Father. Good to know.
Pope is under attack . We need people like you more explaining things to us .
Brian Holdsworth and his followers have expressed doubts about Michael's sincerity
Indeed, which is why they had a full on debate on Michael's channel the other day. Check it out for sure. I dint think it went well for Brian as you will see.
That's okay. As an ex-subscriber of Mr. Holdsworth, I have grave doubts about the clarity of his judgement at this moment in time. God willing he will seek out the faith he was seeking from the beginning, rather than get hung up emotionally in issues of liturgy/community.
Questions: if we are to listen to everybody and be inclusive, why are we excluding pastors like bp Strickland from office, but are tolerating pastors desacrating churches with LGBT flags, in office?
Agreed. But to be fair, he did meet with Bishop Strickland. And he did respond and have a discussion with the other conservative bishops as well in the Dubia.
@@CatholicTruthOfficialwhat Dubia? Still waiting on the first Dubia to be answered. I believe two of the five signers have died waiting?
Thank God for Bryan and Michael. I learnt so much listening to these two sons of the Church.
I have been listening to both Catholic Truth and Reason&Theology for some years now and extremely edified to listen to their discussion.
Bottom line is that we cannot lose sight of the historical fact that Our Lord Christ founded His Catholic Church on Simon Peter and the Apostles and promised that the gates of the underworld will NOT hold out against His Church. So, if the current successors of Peter and the Apostles are teaching manifest heresy, then Jesus is a liar cannot be trusted.
I am therefore faithful to Christ by being faithful to the Petrine Office and Magisterium.
God help us all! Holy Mother, pray for us!

Love this!! Thanks guys keep up the battle against the infiltrators 😅
I finished watching your podcast a short time ago and felt compelled to weigh in. I am not looking to debate or make any inflammatory comments toward you or Mr. Lofton, just expressing my concern. With that said, in my opinion, both of you came across as condescending and belittling. While I appreciate that you are both learned and articulate men, there seemed to me and air of superiority that was off-putting. Of course I agree we must listen to the church, but the Vicar of Christ has been confusing and I dare say scandulous at times, (meeting a same-sex "couple") with statements, (I don't know why Christ died), participation in troubling gatherings, (Amazon Synod) and allowing presentations at the vactican (gay shirtless dancer). You both seemed to just gloss over or lightly touch on areas that are bothersome. Although I did find a lot of the presentation interesting and edifying. Thank you.
I appreciate what you do, Bryan. I wish you, your family and all on this channel a blessed and safe Thanksgiving.
God bless both of you for defending of our Pope. The 9th commandment says; “Thou shalt not bear false witness against your neighbor.” These people who discredit our Pope they committed sin against God.
Jesus makes it clear to st peter the first pope also today pope Francis and future popes forever.

I want your opinion on the Pope saying transgenders can be baptized without repenting and the pope condoning contraception in cases where people are in disease ridden areas. This is not true teaching of the church and the pope has contradicted the church and weakened the image of the church substantially. He is overly obsessed with liberal topics and he has said problematic things. Why do you guys deny this? What are your thoughts on my points.
Have you studied church history? There have been bad popes before.

Bishop Strickland reading his Sedevacantist friend’s letter and then calling it “a loving letter” sounds like the equivalent of saying it is OK to bless sin. Considering leaving the church is a mortal sin and he is calling it “love”.
💯
Good grief, is libel, or a libelous misrepresentation, a sin anymore in Novus Ordo parishes?
@@kimberHD45 This is literally what he said. Everything I said is true.
Libel against Pope Francis is the problem and you should fact check what you are being told because it is libel and slander. They give you 1/2 quotes that leave out the rest if the quote to make up their own interpretation of what he is saying. R&T points this out perfectly. The best example is how they leave out over 40 words of Pope Hadrian’s quote on a pope teaching heresy. They leave out the parts that say the pope is the only one that can accuse a pope of heresy. And the part about the example he uses is a deceased pope. I have the real quote and the quote they show you below. We have a lot of evidence to show your sources are fake news.
How do you know I go to NO? Maybe I go to the Latin Mass?
Pope Hadrian II’s full quote on resisting heresy:
“For even though Honorius (I) was anathematized AFTER HIS DEATH by the easterners (6th Ecumenical Council), it should be known he had been accused of heresy, which is the only offense where inferiors have the right to resist the initiatives of their superiors or are free to reject their false opinions, although even in this case, NO Patriarch (Constantinople and Alexandria) or other Bishop (Strickland) has the right of passing ANY judgment on him unless the consent of the Pontiff (current Pope) of the same First See (Also the current Pope) has authorized it.”
What Pope Francis critics are being given as the quote:
Starts thirteen letters into the quote:
“… we must remember that Honorius had been accused of heresy. And that is the sole reason for which inferiors may lawfully resist their superiors by freely rejecting their pernicious opinions.”
Leaves out the final 33 words.
This is how Protestants read the Bible, right?
@@kimberHD45 The whole basis for the movement you are in is based on ignoring Catechism 2477 and 2478 which is the sin of evil suspicion (1 Tim 6:5). This results in libel and slander (1 Cor 6:10).
To use part of a Bishop Strickland quote: All of this results in “a program to undermine the deposit of faith”. You even have a new Catechism now that redefines schism. I believe Michael Lofton mentioned it in this video. The actual definition is in Canon 751, not submission to the pope.
You guys have a funny way of submission based on ignoring our actual Catechism. And many of us are recovering from your movement. The movement is hypocritical and I was pointing that out. Fact check what you are being told from sources that are not overly critical of Pope Francis. Read his actual writings. Then you will join us as recovering from that hypocritical and sinful lifestyle that is no better than an active homosexual’s lifestyle
@@kimberHD45- Have you considered that Strickland might be a sinner? What if this is accurate description?
I didn’t know Michael was on EWTN! I’ll watch him there too.
i was convinced of the reality of the Church last year, and the pope and some of the vatican made me terrified of joining the Church with that kind of leadership. But i ended up resting in trust ... that Christ would guard His church even if things look bad at any given time period. So i joined end of last year, and haven't been happier. I'll let God take care of things, and let the leadership in the church do what they are there for. I don't have to worry or get in all the politics of it. I know the Church will persevere through any good or bad popes as it has so far.

I started the video really excited to hear what you have to say on this important issue. And then I saw you invited Michael Lofton a long. Stop watching no thanks. Michael Lofton is a good dude. But he’s not unbiased like everyone says he is honestly I think on this we all need to be silent until the Vatican clarifies, and if it doesn’t then we need to just pray and support the people around us.
He actually presented a lot of good facts from the beginning of the video to the end. While we can agree that we won't know everything until it all comes out, we do know a lot and we do know enough to make it very problematic. God bless
Nobody is unbiased. Michael, you, and I all have a framework that we view the world with. Further, what if the Vatican has clarified and people don't like the clarification. What then? Should the Vatican repeat itself ad nauseum? Should we sit silent as the Pope is slandered?
@@atrifle8364 but the thing is there has been no clarity my friend. Even if I don’t like the clarity, I would still appreciate it. I’m not going to slam or dunk on the pope. "So you will know them by their fruit." - Matthew 7:20
@@marietav7342 I think you're correct. My intuitive sense is telling me the motive behind all this is not for the good of the Church and souls.
The Pope has done harm to the church, that is obvious... so surprised you are defending all his actions. Defending the office of the Pope is one thing, but to suggest what he has said and done is all just a big misunderstanding, is ridiculous and dangerous. Pray for the Pope, pray the Holy Spirit will guide him. Jesus's church will never end, it has survived and corrected errors many times for 2000 years.
Many of the things have been big misunderstandings. What's sad is that catholics are so quick just to attack him without actually looking at the facts first. What did we say that was incorrect in this video?

I’m sure that you thought the vaccine was safe and effective also
That's a false and rash judgment which the bible and the saints condemn. Also, it has nothing to do with the facts in this video.
Strickland should NOT be compared to Viganò. Strickland has NOT said Pope Francis is not the pope. Neither has Bishop Strickland.
Thanks for the comment. They were not compared together or as the same. Vigano has gone far off the reservation, as has Altman.
Sorry but when Bishop Strickland reads out a sede letter and says nothing to the people listen to not believe what the letter says etc - he has made a tacit agreement that he agrees with the letter
Lofton and Bryan are bad for the Church.
Because we speak the truth? Feel free to tell us what was wrong in the video. Prayers for you.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial Lol! Lofton and you are the two who cannot handle the truth about Bp Strickland! He is the most faithful prelate in the US. Look at the vocations in his diocese! He did nothing wrong and is being punished for his orthodoxy. He was the only prelate in the US to march against transgender mocking of nuns at Dodger Stadium.
You two have hitched yourselves onto the Sodomites in the church hierarchy. E.g., Lofton recently claimed that it's just fine for a priest to bless a couple in a SSM. Lofton, like the fork-tongued sophist that he is, claimed that the "union" was being blessed, just "two people" which plainly is sophistry.
Lofton, for his part, is a weirdo who just calumniates on a daily basis against Bp Strickland, as well as the likes of Avoiding Babylon, Erick Ybarra, Taylor Marshall, Kennedy Hall, and Timothy Gordon, all good Catholic men, who run better, more faithful TH-cam channels than your Catholic-lite channel.
And you yourself offer no substantive arguments, All you do is nod your head and claim that anyone who has a point of view different than yours is "against the Church." No, YOU are the one against the Church.
Michael, what early claim of Vigano about Pope Francis came to be false?
The world needs to pray for the pope and his majesterium.
Bishop Strickland, Father Altman, Archbishop Vigano, Taylor Marshall, those at Church Militant, and Frank Pavone all need our prayers. Our Lord wants all to be one (John 17:21, Ephesians 4:4-6).
Church Militant, to be fair, has called out Taylor Marshall for his nonsense a few times and other rad trads. They have often come down on the correct side.
Church Militant needs to get rid of the Sedevacantist journalist and his Sedevacantist buddy he interviews all the time. Voris is good and had a great video against Sedevacantist
@@CatholicTruthOfficial- CM is great ..until they are not. 😕

@@atrifle8364 Can you be more specific on this? I enjoy CM's content and find them quite reliable on sticking with Church teaching while also pointing out problems going on in the Church.
The treatment of the clergy like father Altman is why i and a group of friends quit converting to Catholicism. You have a preist preaching the word of God all backed by the bible and tradition just to be tossed like trash. The true church can have faults but if Catholicism is the true church it has fallen.
You have a priest who says that the Pope is not the Pope. How is that being a good Catholic? He also said we should kill the Pope and send him to hell quicker. How in the world what you're defending that?

I’m sure you guys like most of the other practicing Catholics have good holy intentions and thank you for that. I’m a convert from Islam to Protestant and now blessed to be Catholic. I’ve seen the evil actions of so mullas in the name of Allah, seen the evil of going too far in one direction or another, that’s how we loose balance and God forbid go astray. I absolutely love Jesus and Mary , the Tradition that has passed on to us from the apostles and our faith so of course I want all my muslim family, my Jewish friends and the whole world to come to believe in truth of the gospel. From the beginning of this pontiff it was very obvious to me that the holy father’s priorities are confusing. Why did he attacked the Latin mass or why did he put our blessed Lord Jesus in the same level of a false prophet Mohammed or why he fired a good holy bishop while keeping the bishop of San Diego who is promoting gay blessings, having churches that is flying gay flags in the church, having gay priests ( have witnessed all that with my own eyes ) there is No denying of the direction and the goals of these agendas. And you two good souls must rethink about your own hearts and minds, are you guys following Jesus , the gospel , the truth or what makes you feel good about yourselves.

I like the path of rational thought however you have to admit that there is ambiguity that can be exploited for ill intent.
That is what is worrying, when there is no need for such ambiguity
Yes, we can agree for sure.
Great discussion! It's nice to hear a level-headed perspective on these matters, as I'm frequently hearing from the more sensationalist side, and I'm starting to listen to them less now.
One question, though: with the careful definition Michael gives of error and heresy in mind, and when saying that the Pope and Magisterium cannot teach heresy, is that being said as a matter of faith or a matter of definition/law? That is, can they not teach it because "the gates of Hell shall not prevail against [the Church]", or is it because the definition of heresy requires a proclimation by the Magisterium, so they can't call themselves out? The former sounds more plausible to me, as it relies on trust in the Holy Spirit and the Church, whereas the latter seems like circular reasoning that could allow error to creep in.
Thanks for the comment. Because Jesus promised that the gates of hell will not prevail against it. And that's exactly right. It relies on faith. There was one Pope who is going to proclaim something to officially once, and the doctrine was incorrect. He was going to proclaim it the next morning, but he died in his sleep.
@CatholicTruthOfficial That's great, thanks so much for the clarification!
God bless Bishop Strickland. Pray for the conversion of the Pope
You mean pray for Bishop Strickland who said the Pope is in heresy and shared demonic sedevacantist propaganda? Pray for both though, because the Pope always asks for prayers.
Might want to read Vatican I.
You claiming the current Pontiff needs conversion means you are denying he is the Pope - as a non catholic cannot be Pope.
Vatican I says you are anathema
How many Anathemas are there ?
Call me a Lofton supporter but I’d rather look at both sides than automatically call the pope a heretic.
Once a person particualrly a catholic called a pope or Pope Francis a heretic or accused him of heresy, thats the start of his downfall, his fall from grace and his fall into many grave sins/errors. He/she will cease bearing good fruits but bad fruits.
Exactly! I think that's one reason Fr Altman and Vigano went so far into apostasy and insanity is because of disobedience and refusal to submit. They lost the Holy Spirit.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial Altman basically implying that we need to tie a milestone around his ( Francis) neck was kind of overboard.
Look at those who criticize PF harshly and accuse him of heresy, they have not been producing good fruits but bad fruits. Why? Because God is very angry at them and very displeased with the way they treat the present pope. What they have been doing to PF are sins or sinful. Their criticisms of PF are sinful not righteous. If their criticisms on the pope were righteous, they would not have fallen from grace and into many grave sins/errors and would not have produced bad fruits but good fruits. They would exude holiness, charity, goodness, wisdom, humility, patience but we can't sense these good spirits in them but negative/bad spirits such as hate, uncharity, unholiness, sinful anger, self-righteousness, pride, impatience etc. Why? Because they are doing the work of Satan.
@@marietav7342 Altman is that shallow that he doesn’t want the pope saved?
What about Matt Fradd? I don't believe that he has gone off the rails like Taylor Marshall or Michael Voris, but it seems that he has come close...
It does sometimes come on, but he does stay in the boundaries. He's frustrated like many of us over a lot of other things happening in the church.
I don't agree with some of the political positions of Pope Francis, but that has nothing to do with heresy.
And what about the very questionable priests/bishops that our pope promotes? This causes problems.
Indeed it does. We definitely don't agree with that.
What are good sources to see what Pope Francis has actually said?
Find his original statements for letters. Many of them can be found right on the Vatican website. Sometimes articles that you read have a link that when you click, it goes right to the source.
You have to go straight to the source... this channel and michael lofton - they'll tell you what the pope said and means!
You gave examples of saints..great.What about the great charitable act of our apostle St. Paul correcting the first Pope Peter who immediately corrected himself as he understood he was in the wrong & took the advice.Do we see that today? In a family a father can be wrong in behavior, we do need to address the issues & communicate that to him which is being charitable.Problem solving is poor in the church. Don't blame the protestants for everything, we catholics have been bad examples so it gave rise to protestants.. so be charitable & blame ourselves for it.
We agree. Not all catholics take correction well and catholics have problems too. We don't pretend they don't. And we've called out many of those problems in some of our videos. Thanks for the comment in God bless.
This is silly talk: both RC and orthodox churches were made up of hundreds of independently created Christian communities. Even, the Coptic Christian church has a pope. The Coptic church in Egypt claims to be older than the Christian community in Rome.
There is no historical documentary evidence that Peter was the first Pope. Peter was an Apostle whose being such had it's own assignment by Jesus Christ, Himself. This required traveling and bringing forth the Gospel of the Love of God and the Love of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. It didn't mean sitting on a throne with a miter of the crucifix. The scriptures further state to not call any man a father but the Father in Heaven. We do not need a substitute for Christ as He is alive and well and ruling from His Heavenly Throne. If you have accepted him with your heart, he rules you and you become his instrument on earth. The church is merely an assembly of believers whose hearts are ruled by Christ with people ministering to your needs to help keep you whole and in good health and a place to shelter. The elders are those in the faith with great experience that share and dispense wisdom from experience. Pope Francis with his own mouth expressed publically that it is dangerous to have a personal saviour. I say from real experience and I am 70, that our Saviour came to be our personal Saviour, without Him one cannot enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. The Pope's position is heretical on that point in my opinion with God as the ultimate and final judge. There are so many other things I could say but without love, Jesus would not have been our Messiah nor would the ultimate sacrafice for sin have been made. It wasn't just a mere sacrafice , in order to be crucified Jesus had to go through inhuman torture by use of the Roman diagram. Then physically beaten by Romans and Jews. There can be no substitute for a person who has had to endure these unspeakable things and then led captivity in Hell captive bringing them back to life, then visiting his disciples - the Apostles to finish His teaching then rose to Heaven. It would take a very proud man to proclaim himself a substitute and this kind of pride is forbidden in scripture and so is the lust for power. Regardless I still pray for the Pope and all of those underneath him. I do not see the light of love in his eyes, ever but I do see a mean countenance which betrays him. I agree with those that oppose him as far as the current dilemma is concerned. There are and were omens that became visible starting from his first day as Pope, which were serious and evil. Love is the purpose of existence and if we don't learn the greatest commandment and obey it, our loss spiritually will be great in the end of our breathing here on earth. Choose this day who you will serve - the Pope or Jesus Christ of Nazareth ! Friend I love you but Jesus Christ loved you from before creation, let Him rule your heart as you become His Servant and learning to serve others. May God watch over you and bless you with the blessing of His Perfect Love ! A friend always !
RESPECTS TO: POPE FRANCIS WHO IS THE ELECTED POPE, THE SPIRITUAL LEADER OF THE UNIVERSAL
CATHOLIC CHURCH .💖
while I don't agree with everything that Pope Francis says, I do love the Pope ... I love Bishop Strickland too... many people are alarmed at the sad State of affairs in the world, and speak with passion, because of grave concerns in the church, and in the world... and sometimes erroneously... definitely myself as well LOL... maybe humility and God's love are needed above all ... as without exception, we are all faulty...
Amen
The Pope’s opinion doesn’t = magisterium teaching.
No, it doesn't. Yeah, that's exactly what rad trad's think.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial no, in my experience that’s what Protestants and modernist Catholics believe. “Rad trads” as you call us know otherwise. And also, Sedecavinists and Orthodox etc aren’t actually Catholic and neither is the SSPX or SSPV.
We agree with you that SSPX and Sedes are in schism, But rad trads are people who share their philosophy and their mindset and beliefs. As opposed to Latin mass catholics who are still faithful to the Pope and the magisterium of the church. It's also why rad trads accuse him of heresy, even in a personal statement and opinion.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial the Pope has stated many heretical beliefs of his and he’s also pushing a one world religion and creating a temple with our donating money to create a temple for Christians (of any kind not specifically the Faith Christ gave to us through his Church), Jews and Muslims. And the religious leaders of the other two are in agreement and funding this temple.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial I hope you can look at what is happening in the Church honestly and not through a defensive lense. Jesus experienced a Judas and therefore so will the Body and we’ve been experiencing many Judas’ ever since Vatican II. And the current Judas is Pope Francis. I was also baptized by a Judas named Cardinal McElroy!
For clarification, are you saying that those particular popes did not commit heresy or that no pope ever could commit heresy because they are a pope. Also, there are two definitions of heresy, one meaning anything that goes against the beliefs of that religion... And another which is a more political definition, "lawful" heresy, where you can actually be convicted under the judicial system of the church
What about James Martin?
I think we all agree he should have been called out a long time ago. However, the worldly liberal bishops are more cunning than the conservative ones. They tow a fine line and generally try to stay close to the boundaries even if they push the boundaries. They certainly don't bring extra notoriety to themselves by insulting the pope and condemning him as a heretic.
@@CatholicTruthOfficial - I don't think it's too much to ask that our more right leaning brothers and sisters notice that the left leaning clerics manage a base level politeness and diplomacy. Could it be two faced? Sure, absolutely. But you catch more flies with honey than vinegar. I've even asked RadTrads point blank to stop insulting me (I go to a reverent NO) and they ignore it. /shrug
He's good! You can't go against the Pope - you're starting to sound dangerously schismatic!!
Do they really...? I don't see Francis removing these liberal priests and and Bishops...
You are both very talented Catholics Brian and Michael and well versed with Catholic teachings in particular with the relationship between the Pope [any Pope] and the bishops, priests, as well as with the laity. It is a well-founded teaching that we all have to not think we are wiser than the Pope when coming to decision-making on Church issues. The Pope is the sole decision maker whether we like or not. And we do not have to accuse him of teaching heresy when we don't like his decision. That is overdoing things and the person should confess. Some people who hold Canon law credentials think that they are smarter than the Pope and that the Pope is wrong all the decisions he make and its illegal so and so I am tired of seeing these old same faces keep on saying such when they are wrong. The Pope is the final interpreter of the Canon Law. No small priest is the final interpreter of the Canon, no matter what.A lot of small priests with white collars around their necks we see on TH-cam are in that boat and way of thinking. Its better to leave the Church and establish your own small business.
Shame.
It is a shame how people are so emotional and don't do a lot of research. But that's why we make these videos to help them. If they're open and honest before God.
Does Pope Francis have his own Magisterium?
Hindsight will show Pope Francis gets it right. We are all God's children. Bring all sinner before the the Lord so we may be made righteous by him in His House. I see the righteous work of the Pope, maybe you do not.
We’re all made in the image of God, but we’re not all God’s children.
Christ said to (some) Religious Leaders that they were of their father, the devil.
👍🙏
If the pope can ban the Tridentine mass, the liturgical worship of the church since antiquity, can he also permit worship and veneration of mother earth at the alters.
A couple of things. First he didn't ban the Tridentine Mass. He only restricted it in some places. Some people like the FSSP are still allowed to celebrate it. Second, it's not the Mass of the church. It's one of the masses of the church. Specifically, it's the mass of the Roman Rite, but there are older Masses out there. The original Mass was not a Latin Mass and neither were any masses for centuries.
Got to love it when uneducated TLM goers think the TLM is the Mass of the ages and the oldest liturgy 😂
VIVAT PAPA!
Seems to me people are nationals first, Catholics second.
Why call them radtrads and not pseudotrads? I agree with Michael’s term. We workshoped that out in the chat on his channel’s chat.
We can get on board with that term. We're just going by a term that's generally used in the church.
If non-Catholics or activists that are ideologically opposed to the Catholic faith are cheering the Pope's actions/comments....theres a big problem.
Are they though? Many of them cheered him for a long time, then dropped him like a rock when he upheld church teachings on key issues they thought he would change.
@CatholicTruthOfficial They sure are. I'm active on Tik Tok, and the younger generations are loving the comments that Pope Francis makes on LGBTQ issues.
There's several content creators that, in one breath, are praising the pope for "sticking up for them" while in the next trashing traditional Catholicism for "all the damage caused to their community." They definitely see Pope Francis as some sort of secret ally for their cause.
Would these proposed actions be made under the auspice of Papal infallibility?
That was true of especially JPII as well.
@@Efrain891- It's not Pope Francis fault that he's being used. He appears to be trying to welcome all sinners. That the media shapes what they want out of that is just life in 2023.

I can't believe you're not. How can you not be on board with someone who goes by the facts, reads documents lined by line, and original primary sources? :)

But you will not...will you??
Try it. Lofton is always one foot in door one out
People defending belief with passion dies not equate to hatred.
Give it a shot
Pope Francis has proven that he backs our beloved church, it’s traditions, it’s history, and he is not changing anything. Pope Francis wants those ordained and in position to preach, evangelize, and welcome. Conversion may then follow.
Please interview a guest who defends the papacy, not the pope, and knows the difference
Because God forbid Catholics defend the pope. Aka the head of the church on earth.
That's what this guest defends. And the best part is he uses facts and is rational about it.

Pope Francis came from Latin America. What this means is that he is well aware the church has long aligned itself with the elite upper upper in opposition to the working class . In college we talked of this. As a Mexican - American I’m knowledgeable about this; so much so I’m embarrassed I was raised in an all white upper upper power center. I hated it. All this pressure to make money. I was always interested in the poor and lower classes. Now my fellow Catholics tell me I should love the Latin mass. Screw that. Why? So I can further remove myself from the working class? I don’t like myself and brothers and sisters being so educated and smart. What this means is I had two brothers marry blondes and purposely dumped the ethnic Mexican chicks. Bad vibes all around. But, turned out one of my brothers wives parents were these super wealthy white types from Beverly Hills. Well, maybe I should screw over the poor Catholics and be upper upper Anglican. At least maybe I would better relate to the Latin mass. 😊
Enough is enough, the Faithful Laity want to see Peace and unity between our Pope Francis, all Cardinals, Archbishops , Bishops and all Priests, cancelled or not, our Pope Francis must bring all of them together like a loving , caring father, the Laity are fed up , we are allowing the media to exploit the disunity. There should never be cancelled Priests, the cancer is spreading to all our children and grandchildren and all adults, men and women in the Catholic Church. Please Pope Francis helpall
I don't know why a certain generation got into their heads we can have Peace Now. We can't and the attempt to insist on it as first principle, rather than fairness, brings anything but peace.
