- Welcome back!
We have been extremely busy lately with harvest and took a morning to make some necessary repairs on the bin system. Two pipes were past their life span and another needed to be rotated. It took 2 cranes to get the pipes in place and a couple hours of patience, wrenching, and welding. It is a great project to have out of the way, now back to harvest!
Thanks for watching, and I’ll catch ya next time!
I hate heights. Gave me the Willie's. Good work.
Day on a bin will wear ya down! Some hard work on uneven footing. Never hurts to have fall protection. Those were some excellent crane operators , didn't see many hand signals. Jon You got the scruff now. Always great to see your family's operation!
Sure would be great to see you guys with a harness ! Stay safe this fall !!
I fell 27 feet one time sure wish I had been wearing a safety line. It happens to the ones who aren't afraid of heights. Thanks for the video I really enjoyed it.
Welds looked very nice . 👌
Great job bud. You should get ahold of cole the cornstar he is in desperate need of a good welder!! I hope harvest is going good for you guys and more importantly SAFE!! It’s always good seeing your gramp and his big smile. It’s pretty obvious how proud of you he is. As always WORK SAFE 🇺🇸🇺🇸😎😎
Nice job. Safety Harnesses are Cheap. Injuries aren’t.
Only one word comes to mind WOW ! I never liked going up on the legs I couldn't imagine doing that What an awesome young man Now I understand why grandpa is always smiling he's proud of his boys
Heck of a job!
Great Video, Great Day !! H.
Very nice welds, especially in those conditions. Nice to be welding on 7 gage and not 16 or 18 gage pipe.
🔥right on guyzzz, nice welds🔥👊🔥🏍🏍🏍
Erlinger crane service is the best in the Midwest. go Richie and Co.
Some safety harness would be in order.
When I was a kid, heights didn't bother me, and I had no problem climbing tall trees, barns, etc. and later had no issue with construction work. These days I hate it because I know the risks and have seen the worst happen. My brother has titanium rods up his spine from a 3 story fall off a man lift, and he's lucky he can walk, nevermind the pain he feels daily even years later. I would love to see y'all get some fall protection gear. Too easy for something to go wrong. Sorry, I know we're harping on ya, and I'm not trying to be too critical, as we've all done the same or a lot dumber stuff and were lucky enough to have nothing go wrong. Good video and I enjoyed it, so please don't stop showing certain types of work. We comment because we care.
Excellent use of comment section. Well spoken and courteous advice given with. Not overbearing or judgemental. And for that I thank you
More restoration vids please!
Not a whole lot of restoration during harvest
Very good videos Thanks stay safe
Nice weld......
more info on the ceramic tile? for the pipes. hows it bond? etc.
Just goes to show me that there's more to farming than riding around on tractors. Thanks for the video. Do you ever use the " old " combines for harvesting? I for one would like to see that.
👍👍
Nice welds! How were you communicating with the crane operator?
Have you thot of doing some urbex exploring...like climbing tall TV antennas, rock climbing , etc... as you do not seem to have any fear of heights, w/ no safety harness..Good job, stay safe...👍
OK Jon; Why is there an ambulance sitting in the yard? Just waiting for an accident to happen? Grandpa likes his old square bodied Ford pickups.
They are great trucks, sans the plastic dash boards. I daily drive an '83 4x4 with a 460 4 speed combo. Still cheaper to feed and maintain than a new one.
@@ChevyConQueso My first truck was a 73 F250 4x4 300cid truck I bought new, now I have the last year of production 97 F250 HD extended cab 4x4 460 that is my daily contractor work truck. Love them, even with a couple splits in the vinyl dash.
Yeah Buddy!!! Good thing you weld better than you paint !!!! hahahaha no buddy will see it up there!!!
No safety harnesses?
A job well done. What do you meet by "ripping", ground ripping ? Thanks.
What ya do to yer hand in that one scene, you pinched it or something
It was cool but why not let an elevator construction company come do the job.they have all the cranes and gear for a job like that?
Probably cheaper than hiring the whole thing out. They have the labor on hand already, just need to hire the cranes for a bit
Yes that might be but a elevator construction company has all the safety gear they need.company like that would not need a rescue rig on sceen
