Kick ass man. You are working your butt off. Just gave me a new perspective on what work is, guess I better step it up a notch from my norm. Thanks for the vid and motivation.
I follow a lot of the body builders, what Victor went through with his knee injury is very impressive. I broke my knee cap and it is a very bad injury. I have a screw and wire holding my knee back together. For Victor to even compete again is great. Trust me when I say it is not easy. Good luck in the future.
I can say for certain, that Joe McNeal is one hell of a trainer. My husband used to train with him years ago, and he won every contest that Joe trained him for. Joe used to say to my husband, "you know why you are doing to win? Because you do EXACTLY what I tell you to do". Most bodybuilders are stubborn and think they know it all, but a good trainer can get you where you want to be, if you listen to them.
@TrueShall leg press is a compound exercise that involves all the leg muscles, so using as much weight as possible is effective at promoting gains in muscle size overall, especially the quads(depending on where you place your feet). leg extensions on the other hand is a isolation exercise, you want to stress the isolated muscle as much as possible which means only a drop set can ensure the muscles get the maximum pump and stress. you also extend the time under tension which causes an overload.
"Shut up and SQUAT !!" Holy $hit man... say what you want about drug this and drug that... man....I tell you the pros train with blood and guts to be the best in the world and it's no joke !!
i agree 100 fucking percent because there are so many people who think you can take the same grugs they take and be like them, those people train as hard as fuck one's or even twice aday to get ready, i hope victor win somthing before he retire
Vic looks as though he trains just as hard as any other pro. And I think that is the lowest thing that you can say to a pro. Bashing a pro's training is like telling a religious person that they aren't observant enough. I think Vic just went into a tough Olympia this year bottom line. Top 10 at an Olympia like this is an accomplishment.
yeah and tbh training doesn't mean shit compared to diet and what sort of drugs guys are taking. Nobody would say that Cutler trains that hard (compared to guys like Ronnie or Branch I mean) yet he's bigger than Branch and obviously has had massive success. I'd say what makes the biggest difference is just genetics, drugs, and their last week or two of preparation for the contest that separates the best from the rest. Because they all eat and train pretty much the same.
obviously i can. but it wont mean anything if you dont go out and research for yourself. its not all about training. vic is obviously preparing for a contest and needs to get rid of fat and maintain his muscle. circuit style training is great for keeping mass and burning fat fast since your heart rate is always high. vic is already massive so his goal isnt to build more muscle its to keep it and get lean. but if you knew anything you would know that bodybuilding is mostly diet. :)
Dude. besides his front double bicep. I immediately felt that he was going to come up last. There was just a whole other level between him and the other 7 guys... :/
not really. face wise they are different and physique wise they couldn't be more different. i hope you saw his NYP and toronto pro showing. you'd eat those words about "off season shape"
all i want to know is type of steroids he is taking and i can figure the rest out of my own. Working hard yes yes i know there's nothing magical about drugs but the motherfuckers certainly do help diet yes i know ultra strict diet comes into a seriously play in fact i absolutely hate the dieting down horrible feeling plus minimize your carbs intake FUCK i hate that even more. Getting off point i just need to know what types of steroids and dosages and stacks they use also for post cycle?
@Fir3fly798 "is like telling a religious person that they aren't observant enough" Interesting similie, Fir3fly798. Just as one's thoughts are not the gauge by which they are judged, but rather their actions, so too is one's religion not the judge of their ability to observe. Indeed, religion oftimes prevents clear observation: typically, the more religious, the more blind. However, the more spiritual a person lives, the more clear the meanings in religions become.
@kushRo0ms Clown? He's got world wide recognition as a bodybuilder and runs his own business. What part of that or non perfect show preps makes him a clown?
Keep fighting Victor. Fight through it
That leg circuit... Oh my quad
Kick ass man. You are working your butt off. Just gave me a new perspective on what work is, guess I better step it up a notch from my norm. Thanks for the vid and motivation.
If you train like this without gear you will over train in a hurry.

I like Vic, in this video he blames only himself. Not unfair judgeing or politics. He will be there soon
Great Vid Mike, Keep Them Coming!

"Shut up and SQUAT !!"

Intensity..I luv it!
Yo why does he have the chains when he does the smith squats and is it worth it having the chains if there important when you do the squats?
What's with the chains on the bar?

com qual intensidade devo treinar pernas e quantas vezes por semana.?
@hellspawnds it increases the load on the bar the closer to full contraction you get, just somethin different to hit the muscles different
Just me or does his shoulders have shoulders growing out of them??

My mind is hurting just watching this
LOL, that music and those facial shots in the 1st 4 minutes made me double check I wasn’t watching a porn.
When people always talk about losing water and coming in dry. How do they do this, serious calorie deficit? Low Carbs?
No carbs+potassium

Give up the Hack-Squats and the lunges both are really bad for knees the knees.
Whoever trains legs hard enough knows, when you do the chicken walk, you've done a proper leg workout!
victor martinez - 11th at 2013 Mr Olympia. Big Vic has passed his prime, no way will he place top 6 in the future.

its because you ate before the show at your photo shoot

0:58 OHHHHH YEAH!
not really. face wise they are different and physique wise they couldn't be more different. i hope you saw his NYP and toronto pro showing. you'd eat those words about "off season shape"
Legs are pretty much the most important muscle on your body you dont train unless your train leg !
thats gotta hurt
lets be honest he has had a bitch of a year yet he still managed to diet for a contest and place top 10 at the O thats good in my eyes
I want to get the big fisherman muscles
@wipemedown1234 Your right....i have never taken acting lessons..........
they need to give back to body builders hard they dont enuff, union mag
that becomes literal when you finish doing squats xD
all i want to know is type of steroids he is taking and i can figure the rest out of my own. Because they''re all on them...
what's up with that breathing
He was suffering from allergies badly that day.
it's cos he wasn't eating tilapia and green beans with kai
yea right
wtf are u talking about? Baldness has no relation to ur lung condition...
@Fir3fly798 "is like telling a religious person that they aren't observant enough"

When your hairline recedes like that (in the corners), ur lungs are being damaged/compromised...
Fuck that shit... I train my legs once in a month
Probably why he finished 8th
circuit training for an ifbb pro, what the fuck is going on here?
@kushRo0ms Clown? He's got world wide recognition as a bodybuilder and runs his own business. What part of that or non perfect show preps makes him a clown?
His weak point always was the quads. . But in the rest of the body was perfect. Greatness
robbed of by jay cutler.
@steflotti105
Hmm, that's pretty inventive.
tell the truth
lol....
id say vic was robbed in the arnold no way in hell was he a third place. Always talk about his conditioning he looks pretty damn conditioned to me
pain in the glutes! only soreness though ;)
he cant risk his knee he can not win olympia this is wat olympia is all about
kinda shitty with the knee, guess that's why he can't do hamstring/glute focused exercises.
He was robbed in 2007 it this was worse for him.
dehydrate themselves
he's not well conditioned
you clearly don't understand bodybuilding...
yep,palumboism right there...
fisherman muscles? haha just keep lifting and eating right it will all happen eventually.
victor is not coming back, its all down hill for this clown.
thats too much for precontest ,precontest need be smart not too heavy no too long he look overtrained i this video
He got busted twice for steroids so why is he still able to compete ???
Mike Mentzer is rolling in his grave watching this.
he should win a oscer...look at him ACT like he is training hard....lol
the steroids already making him lose his hair haha wow
