Any time in Hawaii is a happy hour but doing it on a sailboat....happiest of happy hours!! Looks awesome!! Lame question that I'm sure you're gonna get a lot: no mask once on the boat?!
It was awesome :) would recommend for sure! So, it basically went like this for masks - When you got on and off the boat, wearing a mask was required, and enforced. And then during the intro presentation when everyone was gathered together masks required + whenever you went up to get a drink. Then the groups (the boat capacity was 50% max capacity of usual due to COVID precautions) were kinda separated around the boat 6ft apart, when we could remove our masks to drink while we were out at sea with the wind blowing. Sorry for the complicated explanation, there's so much nuance, but I would say we felt safe and like the company had safety in mind the whole time.
Hey there! We didn't have any issues with seasickness, since the waves were pretty calm that day. But, we've definitely been there before on choppier days, especially with trips that go further out!
Hi Victoria--we wish could find an accessible catamaran too. Unfortunately, was not able to find any online that don't have the on the beach ladder boarding or mention being wheelchair accessible. But it might be worth calling Manu Kai to see what options they have? We have heard there are some wheelchair accessible boats that will bring you on the water, like the Star of Honolulu or a glass bottom boat tour.

I've had some bad experiences with seasickness on smaller boats (with stuff like whale watching). Were things calm enough that it wasn't an issue?

Same. I would personally stay away from these smaller boats because they'll inevitably stop/slow down and that'll be our downfall 😂
