Growing up I always wanted to skate but I was only good at traditional sports. Definitely an athlete, but skateboarding is so much more than just being athletic. Anyway, I say that to ask; is it weird that this is my all time favorite podcast // show? Surely there are people out there who absolutely love skateboarding but aren't good at it.. and don't twist my words. I'm not a poser, I don't claim to be good at skating, I don't even claim to be able to skate period. I love the culture, the characters, the tricks, the creativity, the people and everything else. It's content and guys like this that act as ambassadors to skateboarding and allow the general public to access an otherwise inaccesible group.
I think that’s what makes this podcast so great (and popular) 100% fine I mean think about how many people watch pro sports podcasts that have never played a traditional sport
I’m proof it’s possible learn to ride as an adult, but I’m also proof it’s a losing battle. I never learned any real tricks and can barely do a manual. Even with all that, I still want to go skating sometimes, but I know I’ll just wreck myself again so I had to give away my board.

2:24 when I was younger I had a hard core argument over if you call it fakie willie grind or fakie smith grind. It got so heated that we both left and went inside the whole day, I was 13 and the next day he admitted it was a fakie smith and we were cool. It’s just funny that that was the only thing I remember us arguing about and it was something as dumb as a trick name. P.S- if your reading this, I was right it was a fakie smith.
Nine club video idea: The dudes should all go to that double diamond ledge spot and see what they can get. Raw uncut, and they all have to get at least one trick (that includes a grind transfer).
