This would certainly be at the top of my to watch list. Set it 2-5 years post banishment...establish what Jon & the wildlings are up to. Jon will undoubtedly be a brooding, introspective, self questioning mess while Tormund does everything he can to mess with him...and Ghost better still be a good boy! I'd love for them to take one of the most garbage things about season 8 (Bran becoming King of the Six Kingdoms) & turn that into the reason Jon has to be called back into action. I've always wanted Bran/Bloodraven to be the ultimate bad guy...and now with his power established, he starts to tear apart the lower kingdoms while Sansa & the North prepare to deal with the fallout. Sansa calls on Jon for help to take out what was once their family & then establish Jon as the true King he deserves to be.
Absolutely. Jon brooding and introspective is just expected I guess eh, hah. I can see Jon and Tormund almost as a buddy-cop movie vibe for a little bit. Removing Brienne from the picture really is great because he just made too many jokes, but Jon getting a love interest potentially is certainly something I like. The stuff with the Starks (Bran and Sansa) would have to be handled super carefully for me. Like I'd almost avoid Westeros entirely and go to another continent...where Arya is, or even Essos, and see how Jon progresses.
Hey I don’t know if you’ve answered this already but I’m curious since Robert and Ned were close friends at the end of the rebellion why didn’t Ned ask Robert to make the north independent and as king why wouldn’t Robert allow it ??
The thing (a very substantial thing) that holds this back on me is the fact that is a GOT continuation. So the existence of the series depends on the Season 8 finale being canon and accepts all their things that happened. So we start from that premice.
Well I mean it totally is canon, so I think you need to reconcile that and it'll get better from there. I think there's a lot of good that can come from it thankfully.
The only way they can fix GoT with this show is Jon waking up in season 6, after his resurrection and everything what happened in season 7-8 is just a bad dream.
FWIW I don't think they can fix GOT, but they can certainly soften the blow by fleshing out Jon more. Make S8 be something that we can just remember as the core of a great, expansive universe including HOTD, Snow, Sea Snake, Dunk and Egg, etc.
I'm very glad you love it AND I need to keep uploading Dunk and Egg...I know you're waiting, Farah! I'm just a slow reader and I'm working on some other stuff...my guilt level of not uploading that audiobook sooner is THROUGH THE ROOF
I actually don’t think Dany is completely out. Emilia Clarke has been pretty playful/dodgy when people ask her about it. I do think she (along with Kit and several other actors) were upset with the last season, so I don’t think she will come back unless she is 100% happy with the story.
I agree with this, her answers have changed over the past year, from her not wanting to go back, to lately her just saying 'Daenerys is dead' and her 'wanting a better end for Dany', also her saying Kit hasn't told her anything about the show, even though last year when it was first revealed she mentioned that Kit talked to her about it. It very much feels the same as Kits answers during season 5/6 about Jon.
It just hurts… I’d rather see a spin-off with Drogon coming back and devouring every major character to stop them from the developing the nightmare that was season 8
I would give anything for a Snow spin-off show. Give his character an actual purpose after coming back to life. Whether that’s Jon fulfilling a new prophecy with his Targaryen name, or just a story about Jon trying to find a new life beyond the wall, I just want to see more of the character. I feel like there’s still a lot more you can do with the character, and I think if we got a good sequel show, it would help soften the blow of season 8
If this is being made I'm so happy for kit harington. I know he took it really hard when game of thrones ended because he spent so long attached to that character so now he can get some more time with it.
That's where I am angling with the new love interest as well. I mean, it just makes too much sense to make her an addition and I think romantic love interest has to occur in order for Jon to properly deal with grief and rebuild himself.
@@TheBattProductions I agree. I think that it just makes way too much sense and since they never used Val in the show they absolutely need to use her here. Especially since her relation to Mance can make her pivitol in a story like this.
@@TheBattProductions Given how things were in the books I would say probably starts out enemy then maybe lover. Really depends on if they include Jarl.
Please do a kinda what-if, where you detail what the world becomes like, under King Bran. I know alot of people don't like him as king but i think it was an interesting idea. Like, would he retake the North if Sansa never marries or has any kids. Would he slowly become an authoritarian God-Emperor or just take a backseat to the actual day to day stuff.
Absolutely. I think there's a ton of room for Snow to fix the ending of Game of Thrones. They can at least soften the blow, that's for sure. Dunk and Egg can be really good. Really hope they pick the right people to produce it.
I think a big part needs to focus on jons mental state since killing daenerys as i imagine the show is probably set 10 years after her death and i think hes still going to be hurting and in pain and guilt ridden after all there years with him maybe being a bit suicidal even.
Absolutely. I mean the show, to me, is all about him dealing with grief and loss. It's so captivating to think of how he heals and helps those around him. The expectations others will have on him when he's crushed worse than ever. I don't want him to turn into Luke Skywalker in TLJ level of depressed, but see him chasing hope and the barriers in between.
I want to See Arya and Tyrian seriously there’s a match up that would be epic . There was very little interactions between the two. Together they could save the world and clearly Arya could use a bit of Tyrions humor
My Jon Snow Spin Off Screen Play: Jon Snow is being Emo up North with the remaining Wildlings.. **Cut to Mareen** Daario and the Second Sons have won the hearts and minds of the City and are ruling with an iron fist. Daario didn't do so well after getting rejected by Daenerys. His fun loving attitude has been replaced with a much more angry and vengeful one, he still loves Daenerys. He gets a raven explaing to him how the love of his life has been killed by Jon Snow. He vows to moblize Meereen and sail west to attack Westeros and find Jon Snow and kill him and take the 7 Kingdoms in Daenerys Name. He spends 5 years building ships and an army. Meanwhile back at Kings Landing the relm is struggling to rebuild its forces and when word gets around to Bran that Daario and an army of 30 000 men are sailing to war he knows their army is out numbered so he uses his warging powers to use ravens to find Drogon. He knows they will need a dragon if they ever hope to defend the 7 Kingdoms. But who's left to ride a dragon? That's right the only Targaryen left alive, Jon Snow. Bran sends for Jon and tells him he must find Drogon and bond with him to save Westeros.
Ik there's gonna be alot of focus on his time past the wall but one of the easiest setups i can think of his return to westeros is if they try to adapt the Young Griff storyline from the books. Ik they tried to merge them in GoT but having a blackfyre pretender returning to westeros after all of the chaos during GoT alongside Jon connington would likely result in heaps of support for the Fake Aegon. And considering the short circle of people who know Jon snows real identity it's unlikely for anyone to easily put down the claim. They'd have to rework alot of young griffs story but it could work if care was taken in its writing.
A Jon snow miniseries sounds cool but idk if we need a whole series about Jon snow being king beyond the wall but maybe I'm wrong we'll just have to see
Oooo I’m So Excited I cannot imagine what kind of badass creatures are lurking beyond the wall! Ice Spiders and maybe other mystic creatures. I’m am so Hyped about other shows Like Season 2 of HOTD can’t wait for the Dunk and Egg, and Maybe (I hope) They will do Roberts Rebellion series which we can see Bobby B in Action!
Absolutely! I think there's so much potential for this show with goofy creatures that we've only heard about, maybe the Night King's altar where babies were sacrificed, maybe some wildling wars...there's good potential here man. House of the Dragon Season 2 has so much of my attention, it's sick. I cannot wait.
You know, I don't want that. I want maybe Tormund and Meera Reed for the 1st season but that's it. I don't think the show needs that if it's any good and they do well with their writing.
They should just try to flesh out and make HOTD the best they possibly can. Something tells me this won't be very good. I have been wrong before though.
Oh if the choice is between this and better HOTD, I'm going HOTD every day. That show is going to be great if they just put the time into it...HOTD S1 was brillaint.
@@drippinwet774 No way - HOTD is paced fine, IMO. Is there anything that hasn't developed well? I think all of the main themes were established...Alicent and Rhaenyra's conflicted hate, Viserys' fall as King, Daemon's role...Nothing I feel is underdeveloped or not explained
I'd rather great shows than great books at this point...I don't think the shows are blocking George, I think George is blocking George. If we can get great shows in the meantime - let's DO it!
I don't think it's on pause - no. It sounds like they're reviewing it, but just hasn't been given total greenlight yet (probably likely with the writers strike).
Well that's unfortunate because I think it can be really cool! Having her in it makes it an extended version of Season 8 and honestly I think they need to RUN away from that plot and just focus on Jon beyond the wall now.
@@TheBattProductions There was just so much wrong with all of it and unfortunately I found Jon to be kind of boring. I had briefly considered giving it a shot but I just can't.
Emilia Clarke has nothing to lose by waiting to see if this series gets green lit and has a successful first season. It’s not like they will tell her “sorry but you missed your chance” if she decides to buy in later.
Unless GRRM writes the script for the show himself they should make another spin off base on the source material that is already available like the Blackfyre rebellions or Sons of the Dragon
I agree with you, but I think he may be the only one who should. Tormund and Meera Reed are genuinely the only 2 characters I'd be happy about returning for any significant role. No Sansa, Bran, Arya, etc. at least in the 1st season.
I honestly don’t know what the spin off is going to be about. However, I did think it might be interesting if Jon realises whilst he may have saved Westeros from tyranny, he doomed Mereen and the other Slave Cities. It’s very likely that without her dragons as a threat, and the unsullied even if they survive the deadly butterflies on Naath, they’d eventually be overwhelmed by the surviving wise masters and others who had interests in slavery. There’s no doubt that Daenerys was brutal and her actions crossed a line in burning king’s landing, but her dragons had ended slavery. The last remaining one is masterless. Jon realising whilst he did the right thing, he didn’t foresee the consequences and going to fix it would be a great show. Imagine the story begins beyond the wall and transitions to the man with a true northerner heart in the hot slave cities, continuing the good think Daenerys did. He’s not punishing himself for not listening to everyone saying she was like her father. He’s honouring the woman he fell in love with who hadn’t been wicked in the beginning. Jon can prove once and for all his birth house isn’t always fire and blood, it’s freedom and unity.
I like the idea of it generally, though I don't want him to find Drogon and try to tame him or something like that. There's a big part of me that actually doesn't want Targaryen stuff to be involved almost at all. I'm conflicted about it...
@@TheBattProductions I do agree, but he’s likely going to to end up his new rider. A common complain is that Jon’s true heritage didn’t amount to much. They’re likely going to capitalise on that and the best way is to make him a dragon rider. Though it would be interesting to see how he as a dragon rider differs to Daenerys. As I said above, less fire and blood. He’s unwilling to use the dragons power, burning cities and fleets and armies. I actually don’t see a way to make him a dragon rider without ruining him, as to burn armies and fleets and cities he’s not the Jon we know that protects the innocents.
@@princeofcrowss I agree that they should have done something with Jon's true identity. It ended up being an almost pointless plotline. When I watched HotD, I actually felt like there were more pointers to Jon's heritage being important than GoT itself. Although not at first, I do expect him to ride Drogon. I do think the Three Eyed Raven is the big bad of the series, now that would have subverted expectations.
I really liked the whole episode 9 dynamic, on ODD # seasons someone important died and even #'s A "WAR!" 😎 They really SCREWED the last two seasons 🤦 and in many ways!!! Not to mention it feels like they (the moron's "D & D".) tried to burn the bridge behind them 🤯

@@TheBattProductions Hopefully so, it would interesting to expand the worldbuilding beyond the wall with the other Wilding clans. Or maybe Jon is depressed looking for a purpose and decides he should rule as the rightful heir to the 7 kingdoms. That'd be definitely interesting
@@jaybirdjetwings7516 Absolutely it would be nice to see him search for purpose. I'd probably not go in the direction of ruling the 7 Kingdoms, but perhaps he can go somewhere else we haven't seen and make an impact there.
All I want is a payoff for his bloodline and make it come full circle. It feels very underwhelming from where season 8 left it. His character was just a plot device by season 8…
See I think the bloodline already meant something, but I guess I'm just being dumb. I don't think Targaryen blood was meant to end the White Walkers or anything...I mean the Prince Who Was Promised was, but I mean technically he did I guess? (but I wouldn't argue too hard for that one). I saw his birthright purely just being one that connects to dragons and as ruler of Westeros...he did have a dragon but he can't rule now. So other than that, I think his bloodline is satisfied from a narrative POV. Lots of useless Targaryens in history ya know!
@@TheBattProductions There is a way to rewrite the ending BP however it cannot be done unless we are all in this together in order for this to happen also there is a prophecy that a young writer we rewrite the final season and they call him the writer that was promised in order to find him wow I’ll get you the signs later

While I respect Kit's desire to do this show because he clearly loved playing Jon Snow and the character meant so much to him I'm sure he was just as devastated with how poorly D&D handled him those last couple seasons... I still dread watching a show set in a timeline after what is objectively one of, if not THE WORST and least satisfying endings in television history that honestly left me questioning why I spent almost a decade watching the show in the first place because every character I loved was either a completely unlikeable poorly written mess by the end or had died in one of the lamest and most nonsensical ways ever that it still keeps me up at night, and I still complain about it on reddit four years after it ended. I love Kit, he's a good actor, as was everyone who worked on that show and maybe he'll be a good showrunner as well, maybe he really will find a way to make Jon Snow a compelling and interesting character again after his identity crisis over being a bastard was abandoned, his true identity as a Targaryen didn't matter in the end, and he didn't kill the Night King after he had been setup to be Azor Ahai and never fulfilling his destiny. Maybe Kit will do that... but he'll definitely have his work cut out for him, to say the least.
I actually agree with you that the show needs to be based on Jon's identity crisis, but with grief and loss at the center of how he rebuilds in this show....not like he's a drunk now or anything, but his struggles internally as he helps those around him.
John just walking around the north sounds kinda meh….. if the sequel worked to revise and fix the mess that was the 8th season then I’d be all for it. Where did Drogon go with Dany? Etc.
You know, at first I thought it sounded boring, but I'm kind of into it when I really think about them slowing the pace down and focusing on personalities again...I mean Jon walking around the North was basically his whole plot for like 5 seasons so I mean it can work. I'd honestly rather try to avoid anything with S8 if you want it to be good. Maybe pepper in random notes about S8, but not really talk about it at all
See - I have no interest in seeing the other Starks. I think their roles in the plot would be confusing if you want it to be a good story about Jon. Only Arya would sort of make sense in how I space it out - except for the very end. I could see Arya returning from a journey and bringing Wildlings to a new location she's found...to re-settle where it isn't so cold and miserable.
I think I’m the only GOT fan who doesn’t want this show! I don’t want ANY continuation of the rushed 💩show that was season 8! The only filler I would find acceptable would be Drogon appearing to take him to Danys resting place 💞 But please Arya already had her moment.. instead of Jon, she killed the night king so.. lets just focus on Jon.

Like I'd almost avoid Westeros entirely and go to another continent...where Arya is, or even Essos, and see how Jon progresses.
i fucking love that idea of bran becoming the big bad and how it all goes down
@@godx9117 If that happened, that'd be kind of wild eh!
Blood Moon would've been solid gold.
The only way they can fix GoT with this show is Jon waking up in season 6, after his resurrection and everything what happened in season 7-8 is just a bad dream.
Agreed
FWIW I don't think they can fix GOT, but they can certainly soften the blow by fleshing out Jon more. Make S8 be something that we can just remember as the core of a great, expansive universe including HOTD, Snow, Sea Snake, Dunk and Egg, etc.
Love love love Kevins reading… y’all should have a listen❤❤
I'm very glad you love it AND I need to keep uploading Dunk and Egg...I know you're waiting, Farah! I'm just a slow reader and I'm working on some other stuff...my guilt level of not uploading that audiobook sooner is THROUGH THE ROOF
@@TheBattProductions you know, i will wait patiently🫦😉🥂✨
Can’t wait to see more of John.
Neither can I. I think Jon Snow can be really, really good.
It just hurts… I’d rather see a spin-off with Drogon coming back and devouring every major character to stop them from the developing the nightmare that was season 8
you should be in charge man
I would give anything for a Snow spin-off show.
I think job will become the new king beyond the wall. It would be so poetic and i can't think of a person more qualified
If this is being made I'm so happy for kit harington. I know he took it really hard when game of thrones ended because he spent so long attached to that character so now he can get some more time with it.
What if stannis was in kings landing when Robert died and renlybwas at dragon stone?
Smh we are never getting the final two books 😑
Val needs to happen no matter what. Missed opportunity in the show. They really should bring her in.
@@paragon1172000 Absolutely. Wonder if she'd be his enemy immediately...or lover.

The real king ! King’s Hymn

HUH HotD is wayyy too rushed. The time jumps are yuck! Development takes time.

I don't think it's on pause - no. It sounds like they're reviewing it, but just hasn't been given total greenlight yet (probably likely with the writers strike).
Thank you for the update that Emilia won't be coming back. Now I won't waste my time with this series.
Same thing I was thinking
Jonathan?
JONATHAN
SNOWATHAN
Jon needs to find Drogon and Ghost. Fire and Ice. He's Azor Ahai... there's so much more to his story.
Unless GRRM writes the script for the show himself they should make another spin off base on the source material that is already available like the Blackfyre rebellions or Sons of the Dragon
Johnathan Snow?
Thank you.
Ser Jonathon Snowathon
Tormund Giantsbane needs to come back as a co-star. Disappointed if he doesn't.

Please tell me that hbo has someone who wouldn't screw things up like dumb and dumber
