- What is going on in Jackson County, Alabama to cause 2 family members, Jimmy Wayne McCarson (61), and Jamie Dewayne Johnson, to go missing in 2019, (not together), but 4-months apart from one another?
This documentary brings you alongside Adventures With Purpose's search in Stevenson, Alabama, following clues from a local fisherman who sent AWP some sonar images of a car underwater not more than 1.5 miles from Stevenson.

CASE DETAILS
Jimmy Wayne McCarson, 61
Jackson County, AL
Last seen on or around May 28th, 2019
Jackson County authorities are searching the Fabius coal mine for 61-year-old Jimmy Wayne McCarson.
Jackson County Sheriff Chuck Phillips says McCarson and one of his friends drove into the surface mine and got stuck.
The friend told deputies when he fell asleep, McCarson went for a walk and never came back.
Now, this is where it gets fuzzy for AWP because there were no reports of Jimmy's Nisson Murano ever being found, and when the local fisherman reached out with multiple sonar images of a car underwater, it was in the size and shape of a Nissan Murano.
With this information, the Adventures With Purpose team couldn't say no to stopping off in the area in search of Jimmy and his car.
On May 31st, 2019, a family member filed a missing person’s report with the Stevenson, Alabama Police Department, on behalf of Jimmy Wayne McCarson.
McCarson was reported to have left his residence in a grey Nissan Murano, along with a family friend on May 27th, 2019.
NOW THIS IS WHERE IT GET CRAZY - MISSING NEPHEW
On September 26th, 2019, Jamie Dewayne Johnson, Jimmy Wayne McCarson's nephew, was also reported missing by a family member just 4-months after Jimmy goes missing.
That person said that no one has seen or talked to Jamie since September 3rd, 2019.
It wasn't until we were in the search for both Jimmy and Jamie that new information came to AWP that Jamie was found dead under suspicious circumstances.
The rumors started swirling that Jimmy may have been murdered and that Jamie knew more than he should have and was going to go to the police.
True or Not?... We really don't know.
Now the bad news...
While searching our hot spot for Jimmy, we get new information that the Nissan Murano was recovered shortly after Jimmy's disappearance.
But wait... We have an oil sheen on the water where the local fisherman gave us coordinates and sonar images.
Unfortunately, the oil sheen was a result of organic matter from decomposing leaves which we've seen in the past, and the sonar images, which we were able to replicate on-scene, turned out to be nothing more than a large boulder in the shape of a Nissan Murano SUV Crossover.
The case quickly turned to what we believe is foul play and AWP made the decision to pull off the case for this reason.

Keep this in mind when dropping a magnet on a car that's underwater, sitting on its wheels: Many cars (including Nissan Muranos) have large panoramic moon roofs, and your magnet might just be hitting glass when you lower it to test for metal. So you could easily get the sense that you're not on a car, when you actually might be.
This needs to be higher voted, keep in mind a lot of newer cars like ford are aluminum which isnt magnetic either!
I used to work in a body shop and dealt with scrap metal all the time. Lots of new cars are becoming more and more aluminum, including hoods. Some cars have fiberglass or carbon fiber hoods too.
@@ryanravencaller yeah. The Nissan I used to have had an aluminum hood and trunk and a large sunroof. Would definitely have been a challenge for sure.

What do you expect when they are muzzled and deprived of oxygen, Toxins injected into their bodies that NO ONE knows what the ingredients are....GMO foods, Fluoridated water, geoengineering (aerosol spraying of our atmosphere) with barium, strontium and aluminum and being bathed in radiation wifi frequencies. I like that you share the disappointments just like the triumphs. Illustrates just how hard it is to find missing people under water. Shows that it takes a certain combination of time and equipment and expertise that local LEO doesn’t have. It’s good that you can assist them to give answers to loved ones questions. It’s not that the local law enforcement doesn’t care but they can’t do what you do.

This is my Hometown and I grew up with Jamie..truly sad..he was a good guy..didn't know Mr. McCarson..he lived in a different area not far from stevenson.. but I have heard about what had happened with both being missing.

Again AWP goes where no other goes. To go where others have failed. I admire these gentleman so much. The way Jared handles these cases and does everything within his powers to do all he can. Doug, you also are just as remarkable. The kindness shown is incredible. The searches can put these men's lives in peril, yet they continue to do everything they can. I hate seeing the disappointment on their faces when a search doesn't bring answers. Yet they have gone back at times and do complete bringing lost loved ones home. There is NEVER closure for the families and lived ones. Answers are sometimes brought with more questions. But the answer of where they are is answered.
I lived in the Stevenson area for years .I know the area well I have seen refrigerators microwaves, air units cars and many other things in the water there. with all the water in the area its definitely likely the water is where you will find someone missing in the area . The local area is limited in resources to hunt people missing I am grateful you took the time to help this family

Like with Police Not being on Sonar runs all the time, Fishermen are not out there using their sonar near as often as AWP and associated Teams. -- No need to throw anyone under the bus. Everything is worth checking when dealing with Missing Loved ones. -- Foul play is understandable. Search teams need to think about their own families. -- Keep up the Good Intentions AWP and all.

I have always had the thought in the back of my mind that not only could you guys make this a thing. But you are inspiring some that never had this as a thought for profession a possible career choice. What about a training camp? Like a 16 week possibly longer. For training older teenagers / young adults? I genuinely believe that’s something you can leave your name with a beautiful legacy in such a dark dark time in this world these amazing people have come to light the last 2 years and become the real MVP. I probably didn’t word it the best. But ever since you guys inspired me I always thought you guys could become this beautiful training school. Diving safety car rigging sonar identification. Just loads of education you guys have teaching to others so they can go out and do this amazing work as well.

I'm totally impressed with garmin's underwater equipment. And how you're able to pick up so much and identify certain objects with it. These new ones must really be fabulous use Garmin before and they were very good but these ones are just awesome. And you guys are great at what you do.
