- The Mahindra Scorpio is one of the most popular SUVs on sale in the Indian market today. It was launched more than a decade back and has enjoyed continued success throughout the years. Mahindra had given the Scorpio a very major update in 2014 and now the SUV has got another update wherein the engine has been upgraded with higher power and torque figures along with some minor enhancements on the cosmetic front.
The Mahindra Scorpio is known to be a rugged SUV but it gets very tough competition from the Tata Safari Storme. The Scorpio is currently available in two engine tunes and the new model here gets a 6-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra isn't offering an automatic transmission on the Scorpio for now.

If you think the voice messaging system is irritating then you are wrong when people forget to release the handbrake at any level then it reminds them of releasing the handbrake, same goes for door ajar warning it atleast warns that one of the doors is open and it is helpful when someone is not able to notice the door ajar warning light in the instrument cluster, and the same goes for seatbelt warning, low fuel, abnormal engine temprature etc. then I think you should improve your knowledge or thinking a bit.

This is the first time I've seen your full review and I've liked it too. You are growing on me now. I've had a Scorpio some 2 years ago until I updated to a Storme, I agree and appreciate that you got all the 'cons' right but how about the Pros.
The engine is the biggest pro and then there is the driving position.
It's now the best car in its price range.

Scorpio is better than scorpio in toughness. Less maintenance cost than any suv this facelift has good engine refinements with less gear throws now. Its resale value and demand in the market at the end adds great value than xuv and storme. Needs bettering safety features like ebd tcs ha etc at high end but overall its abs is superb and ride quality is awesome and in city u dont have to frequently change gears and has power at low rpms which isnt the case in safari. Overall best in low end suvs .buy it witout any other thought if budget is low value for money. Suv if u have more budget can spend 5 more go for innova for comfort point of view

The majority of people who buy this, don't even know what apple car play is neither they want anything which other brands like jeep might b offering, they just want the essentials done good which i guess mahindra has nailed but ya this becomes the problem for attracting new gen buyers .. mahindra should nw invest mre on R&D in real rather than making advertisement rof factories!. Overall a very customer centric car in d end.

I think the 0-100 time is more like 11.3 seconds because the previous one did it in about 12.4 seconds. It depends more on the driver and more specifically the way you shift the gears and the RPMs at which you have peak power and torque.
Surprised to see this car still surviving in 2017.
