- So a drag race i have wanted to do for a while! Alfa Romeo 4C VS BMW M2 Competition! The Alfa 4C is lightweight with 240bhp and the bmw m2 competition is around 400bhp and weights much more! enjoy this drag race, drifting, accelerations, sounds and more as me and joe achilles have a good laugh racing!

@n s They stopped production, yes. The car had been out since 2013/2015 the spider version, and it was a success for Alfa. How is stopping production of a car going out of business? One thing has nothing to do with the other.
@n s I know what you mean. Going out of business for me has a different meaning, that´s why I misunderstood what you meant. Alfas are great cars indeed. In Europe where I live we have some more models than in the US (if that is where you are) like the Giulietta and Mito, and they are really cool cars. They make absolutely beautiful cars. My favourite Alfa when it comes to looks, still is the Brera. That car is a stunner.
While the BMW is a very beautiful car, the Alfa is a piece of art. BMW will NEVER reach the beauty of the Alfa Romeo C series (4C and 8C).
PLEASE do this again in dry weather.

I'm a BMW fan, mainly pre turbocharged era of BMWs, but I have to say that the Alfa is superior to the BMW M2 which is a performance coupe whilst the Alfa is a true sports car, this race shows that less weight is more important than unusable power. Stef thanks for putting 4C on the map.

The 4C is the King of the road. Looks much more edgy than the M2 Comp.

True weights of the cars: 1016kg for 4C and 1580kg for manual M2C.
So true Power/Weight is 237BHP/tonne for 4C and 259BHP/tonne for M2C. Soon as Joe got the manual shifts spot-on there was no way the 4C could keep on that. Difference would have been more profound had the M2C been a DCT!
it's a bit more complicated than that because many 4c owners have said to get 240 or slightly more at the wheels in stock form, so the actual engine power can't be that... also, depending on the markets it can actually weigh around a tonne like you said but in europe it's actually lighter

Great to see these together finally and keep up the great content and the great work. Like to see a mid engined vs a front engined against each other. This is probably the first time I've seen a M2 Comp up against a 4c

M2 driver was jumping before the third horn everytime so i feel like the 4c was always the winer but that M2 is a very beautiful car

Great vid. Both great cars, the 4c is a great raw car, colleague has one. It just goes to show that it’s power to weight ratio counts not just pure power. I had a 170 bhp 2051.9 gti about 25 years ago. Great car and quicker than it sounds as mine weighed approx 875kg, about the same as the Alfa.

Theat way I never do drag race on any condition, rolling race is more realistic one. ......drag race stand for audi 4x4 -bmw 4x4 and others, rolling race stand for 2x2
Love the idea of a 4C. Two things hold me back. I’m 50 so may look a bit of a tool! Mainly it’s the lack of power steering. How do you get on? Is it ok around town and in everyday use?

I just bought one black like Stef. I’ m making some tuning now. Car is mega for your smile. No problem for steering just move the car and is coming light. But this is a mini supercar. Not a daily driver. It is for your we or your spar time when You want a special occasion. Daily better the bmw audi merc .. bla bla bla. But when you want to open a special Bottle !! 4C clearly👍👍!!
The 4C 240hp performance is significant compared to M2 400hp. The M2 should be compared with Porsche 991.2 at 370HP and I would think Porsche will come on top.

@@StefABtv Stef I just bought two 4C in tri coat red racing edition. One is launch 11k miles on it 32 of 500 and other Is base with 3k miles on with absolutely not one nick in paint anywhere. Which would you drive and which would you just store in a garage?

Concordo. Ma al di là delle prestazioni la scelta nel mondo reale viene fatta secondo buon senso e tipo di utilizzo. Con la mia M2C vado con famiglia e bagaglio e da solo mi diverto come un bambino alle giostre. Per 70.000 euro un minimo di versatilità, se pur seconda auto, il mio portafoglio lo pretende.
@@giamo645 si certo, appunto sono due auto che non vanno messe a confronto, la M2 é piú vicina alla Giulia, la 4C é da mettere a confronto con le sue pari: Alpine, Elise... costosi giocattoli da pista. Invece si vedono una miriade di video in cui viene messa a confronto e sempre in rettilineo con auto dalle cavallerie mostruose. Sono confronti che non hanno senso. Cosa seve un auto con telaio monoscocca in carbonio se non gli fai fare neanche una curva? É quello che alza il prezzo e la rende unica. La M2 é senz'altro piú fruibile, ma é un altro mondo. Ne migliore ne peggiore. Ie gare di accelerazione non dimostrano niente
