Penny has such a funny and big personality. i'm glad she didn't turn into kind of like a "quiet kid" after being adopted into a new family in a different country with a different language. She's gonna grow to be a confident and beautiful young lady.
It bothers me that some people think that at age 18 the children are being " pushed" or "forced" out. That is not what this family is doing. Nor is it what many American families do. In many cases children can't wait to try their own wings and fledge out of the family nest. The reason for age 18 is that that is the age when considered an adult legally. Sometimes after fledging they do return home as they have found the world a bit rougher and more costly than they were prepared for. With the kind of family support that Amanda and Steven give to their family their is no doubt they will always have a home to come back to. These children are so blessed to have such loving support. Family is everything.
I remember after Lincoln's surgery, I said one day he'll be running and he's doing it. Pretty soon he will be speaking in sentences. I can see he wants to communicate and understands when people talk to him. I feel like a proud auntie 😊😊
I really do prayed that Lincoln will talk one day. He has shown such a big improvement in his walking and his words daily. Both Amanda and Stephen has been an amazing parents to the kids and seeing how the kids love each other company and their smiles really make my day. Praying that this siblings bond will be stronger as the days goes by . Love your families so much

I was concerned that Kiera was the "lost child", but I was wrong. She's so sweet, fun, and loving. She knows her place in the family, and she actively demonstrates her love of her siblings. She's just beautiful!

My husband and I were technically supposed to be empty nesters in May 2019 but our two sons who are 19 and 22 yrs old still live at home. The dynamic changes a lot once they became of age but we still enjoy having them living at home.
Do they fight? Of course they fight, all sibling's fight. Will Lincoln talk? Lincoln is already saying some words. And with continued therapy and support, more than likely he will say more words. Continue to do what you are currently doing.
18 yrs and time to move out ...this is the only part of american culture that I don't understand at all . I stayed put with my parents till the day I got married even though I was working full time after getting my degree . I guess its a different way of thinking there and children are brought up in a way that mentally prepares them to rough it out away from their guardians even though they are just teenagers when they do .
I was thinking the same thing here it is normal to live with your parents till your 30s. Even though some people move out earlier, no one is looked down upon when still living at home..
I'm American and my family did not have this attitude and neither did my friends. Its very common for 20 somethings to live with their parents, especially after the recession. And most college students still use their parents home as their "base". Edit: maybe not as common as other countries, but it is becoming more common here. I know no parent who kicked their kid out immediately after high school
In Sweden we move out at 19, we go to school until the year we be 19. It’s not unusual here. But many live at home and try out jobs, Maybe study more. Saving money. Marriage is often later in life, and to live at home until we are like 30 is really unusual. Unless you have a religion that says otherwise.

So wonderful that the family devotes much of their efforts etc. to Lincoln and his care. I have watched them from the beginning but always felt that their young boy Ethan is always looking for more attention from his parents to balance out Lincoln's needs. I may be wrong but I feel that both Ethan and Lincoln are rivals for their parents’ attention. In the recent episode where they were taking down the Christmas tree, Stephen was carrying Ethan. As soon as Lincoln saw that, he wanted to be carried as well. Then there was another one where Ethan was explaining to his Mum Amanda about how he had written a post it “Take one Please” for the delivery people. As soon as Lincoln saw his Mum listening to Ethan, he came running to show a book he was looking at. I’ve noticed many times Lincoln do that and it’s always with Ethan, none of the older siblings. I hope Lincoln doesn’t feel he has to compete with Ethan because Ethan is always patient and loving towards his younger brother. In so many vlogs, I’ve seen him removing Lincoln’s braces and taking him by the hand to help him walk. They’re the youngest in the family and it will be wonderful if they’re firm friends as well as close brothers. They must know they’re both loved equally by their parents.
Don't know why, I juz shed a tear when I heard Amanda saying Lincoln will be excluded in the heritage trip to Ethiopia. Anyway, it's precisely perfect to focus whatever that's needed for Jude and Liam since they're going back to their hometown. By the way, love you much and hugs, Lincoln.....💖

All of them are Disciplined Kiddos. One Thing I notice they aren't just Glancing they look you in the Eye as well very Attentive When Parents are Talking & Explaining with RESPECT.
I will be patiently waiting for Lincoln to fully communicate. I have 2 nephews with autism and they are also nonverbal. I hope they will be able to talk too.
The thing is you may need to just become more comfortable with the idea that some of your kids might still live at home well off into their 20s. A lot of them say oh as soon as I'm 18 I'm moving out but a lot of the time they become comfortable where they are especially if they're home a lot.
I'm 25 and my husband is 26 we had lived on our own for 5 years it became very hard for us to live on our own as I had to quit my job because of medical problems and ended up moving into a beautiful new house with my husbands parents they are the best people and the fact that they let us move in with them is incredible my own parents sadly wouldn't let us move back in with them unless we got rid of our animals Wich was devastating for me. I am blessed and me and my husband are happier than we have been in years.
The building rules sounds so weird. I get that they regulate the size of the house. But to regulate how many bedrooms and baths you can have inside that house sounds just absurd 😅
tbh its normal to have fights between siblings but I hope that they will never let the day end without forgiving☺️ (same for couples too! if the couple's center of relationship is God😉)
Seeing them all sit together and their bonds with each other is really heartwarming. The way they all smile at each other and joke around. It's cute to see Kiera and Ethan snuggle and to see Jude and Liam holding hands. I don't have a good relationship with my sibling at all, so seeing a happy family like this makes me so happy and inspires me to instill the importance of family values in my future kids. You've raised your children really well. They'll all love and rely on each other throughout life thanks to it.
I don't know why, but always when I see Jude taking care of Linky I think that Jude are going to be a physiotherapist... only the time will show us 🤍 Love you guys!

Why did you need to move out at 18? Honestly as an Asian I dont really understand why. I guess most Asian parent are stricter. What usually happen in our culture is that mostly people move out once they get married or have a job that require for them to move out/in another city. Otherwise we will stay at our parent. As they get older its really a hood thing to take care of them. For me even when I have to go to collage but when there’s a break I will go home. But then I guess its up to the people plus its not like a culture can change overnight. Anyhow I wish you all the best. 😊
I'm studying to become a psychotherapist and this channel shows the theory is right. If children are shown unconditional love then they will thrive and be happy and grow into their potential. I am also a Quaker so I see that as gods love at work! This channel cheers me up every time.

It fascinates me that in America, kids are allowed to move out already at 18. Here in the Philippines, usually, we can only move out if we're going to get married even if we're on our 30s already. 😂😅 We do not get that much freedom.

It's not what you think. I haven't watched the video yet but I think Reese will go to college, she will probably stay in the residence or move close to school. Her home will always be there for the holidays and for whenever she wants probably.
i guess it's just american culture. they tend to move out for college and families spread all across the country whereas in México we tend to stay at our parents house through college and even after, sometimes until we get married and we still want to find a place near our parents cause we don't like being apart that much
Been months I'm watching Lincoln progress and I have to say I'm glad you considered cbd oil because lot of people have biased or ignorant opinions on it. I know he had surgeries with great surgeons but there are things you can do and take aside that make a difference.

Why did you need to move out at 18? Honestly as an Asian I dont really understand why. I guess most Asian parent are stricter. What usually happen in our culture is that mostly people move out once they get married or have a job that require for them to move out/in another city. Otherwise we will stay at our parent. As they get older its really a hood thing to take care of them. For me even when I have to go to collage but when there’s a break I will go home.
But then I guess its up to the people plus its not like a culture can change overnight. Anyhow I wish you all the best. 😊

I'm studying to become a psychotherapist and this channel shows the theory is right. If children are shown unconditional love then they will thrive and be happy and grow into their potential. I am also a Quaker so I see that as gods love at work! This channel cheers me up every time.

It fascinates me that in America, kids are allowed to move out already at 18. Here in the Philippines, usually, we can only move out if we're going to get married even if we're on our 30s already. 😂😅 We do not get that much freedom.

It's not what you think. I haven't watched the video yet but I think Reese will go to college, she will probably stay in the residence or move close to school. Her home will always be there for the holidays and for whenever she wants probably.
I don't understand too. In Asian culture we stay with our parents until we get married . Some still stay with parents after marriage

i guess it's just american culture. they tend to move out for college and families spread all across the country whereas in México we tend to stay at our parents house through college and even after, sometimes until we get married and we still want to find a place near our parents cause we don't like being apart that much
