    What is the purpose of resetting cvtf deterioration date?

    Thanks! Don't forget to start your engine:). You can use just second tool for cvt fluid change right? Or maybe launch is more accurate?

      You're welcome bro, and thanks for reminding me lol.. Yes you can just use the second tool for changing the cvt fluid. But for instantaneous reading the cvt data, launch tool is the one and it's wired. Unlike the cheap wireless tool, it has some delay for about 3 to 5 seconds, overall still perfect for doing the cvtf changing. If you have a good quality bluetooth adapter, an expesive one, it would lessen the wireless transmission data delay.

      Where do you live bro? I live in russia and I bought a jdm 2015 mitsubishi lancer cargo right from Japan just 2 months ago(88000 km on it). Amazing car in almost perfect condition. Engine hr15de and axle reof11a/jf015e.

      I'm from Philippines bro. My car is equipped with HR16DE. That engine of your lancer is same engine with Nissan Almera here in our contry. As we all know that Mitsubishi has been 34% owned by Nissan.

    Can you reset cvt adaptation as well with the second scan tool? Expecially when you swap a used transmission

    Hi,just wondering could you kindly tell me what i'm doing wrong with a c25 nissan serena 2008 model,i have exhanged the fluid but when going for long rides it whines alot i have checked across the internet for answers but can seem to get help.I'm suspecting an overheat due to overfill but problem is this model cvt did not come with an overfill drain plug so you have to use dipstick but its not really accurate.If i could know the exact level in litres recommended it would be of great help.

      Hi! You might have an incorrect cvt fluid level. In your dipstick there are 2 ranges for cvt fluid level, for cold and hot. When refilling with new fluid, you should use the cold range level in the dipstick....Make a test drive for about 5 - 10 mins and check the level and this time use the hot normal range level of the dipstick. If the cvt fluid is above or below the normal level, then adjust it. Make sure you use the right cvt fluid for your serena.

    Hey man! Was just curious as to what your average CVT temperature runs at? I'm using the cvtz50 app and was curious as to what you average?

    • @w-diy10078

      Hi Blake! My average CVTF temp. is 80⁰C. for 26 km drive, outside temp. 37⁰C. these include downhill, uphill, and plain road conditions. CVTF temp. vary from road condition and the way you drive. I got highest temp. of 92⁰C on climbing uphill for 3 km.

      @@w-diy10078 Thank you for the info! I range from about 80C on short to medium drives all the way up to around 93C on fairly long drives with many stops! Was just wondering what was normal CVT temperature!

    • @w-diy10078
      @w-diy10078  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      CVTF temp. Normal range is 80⁰C to 90⁰C. 93⁰C is actually still acceptable. Just monitor your CVTF Deterioration date. Nissan recommend to change cvt fluid at 210K deterioration date count. or 100K km. But I woudn't recommend it, it's too long. I changed my cvt fluid at 93K det. count or 60K km.

      @@w-diy10078 I've actaully had done a drain and fill not 2 weeks ago! Tech said my fluid looked great and the fluid level was proper.
