Actually the D.B's aren't currupted ai. The first time you fight them in gow4 is cuase your trespassing on cog territory and their sent as security. The second time is because you stole some cog tech. The third time their controlled by the swarm.
I just realized that the COG and the UIR are basically the USA and The USSR of sera. Am I the only one who realized that?

Also in case anyone is wondering, the scar on Marcus' face was caused by a dog attack while he was in the slab. Marcus was locked into a room in the slab and a pack of wild dogs were unleashed into the room, giving Marcus his scar and dislike of dogs.

I love how that after playing Gears 4, fact 107 is just wrong. The Deebee robots are sent to kill JD and his friends after refusing to surrender for their actions against the New COG. Still being controlled completely by the COG. Nothing to do with them building self awareness and trying to take control of humanity.
I think they just made an incorrect assumption, since the cliche of murderous A.I has been so overused.
Esquire Magnus I guess. But still funny hearing it after playing the game. Also because this video came out before the game so I can't complain about the assumption. Also I learned why they made robots in the game because even for it being 25 Years Later, The COG didn't want people in combat, so they made Robots. Or at least that's my point of view on it.
Correct. The research and video was done before the game release. I'm a HUGE Gears fan (been playing since 2006!), so imagine how I felt when the last fact was flat out wrong! It's been corrected as an annotation in the video for future viewers. It's vague as not to spoil the reason.

A guard who worked there hated him and one day he released 2 dogs at Marcus
he killed those dogs but one has scratched him really bad

@Melissa Waterman they did slash didnt as it seemed the bomb didnt kill the Locust but destroyed there DNA mixing it with the Lambant and making them more mixed togather as the Swarm shares alot from each creature
@@blo0dysmiles297 It killed off all Lambent and Imulsion in Sera. As for the majority of the Locust that contained Lambent cells that died were the corpses that became Scions and Swarmaks 25 years later, etc.
@@evilchuck4679 they have made it canon they didnt die they went into cacoons those shells are cacoons also you can clearly see the cacoon is crystalized imulsion. Meaning it didnt kill there lambent it fused it with them making since why the Swarm are now hive type. Just like the lambent, which also had the ability to mutate and grow there numbers with other creatures, aka the swarm taking humans and changing them into swarm. The Swarm are literally a prefect hybrid of Locust and Lambent.

Well, that's more of a Target Locator in terms of small arms weaponry. Plus, it's used sparingly.
that doesn't count, its a laser pointer not a laser gun, the satellite is the weapon but you can't directly use the satellite

Probably my favorite game series of all time. Superior artistry in story, characters, architecture, machinery, weapons. It's absolutely saturated in perfection. The voice character acting and choice of actors is LEGENDARY. Halo had masterchief but Gears had a dozen superstars.
I will forever love this game.
It will never be outdone. Tha KS for all these great treasures.

played through Gears 4 and all i have to say is Gears of War is in VERY capable hands. also, the deebees did not go awol like skynet but the new chairman (chairwoman) of the COG is upset at JD, Del, and Kait for something that they didn't do that you, as the player, will find out later in the story

So getting crushed by a metal crate then being flung into the air just to be slammed on the ground and possibly shot by a Deebee somehow gives him a chance of survival? Yeah sure. You can see his death in game. If you watch the wall while defending the town hall you can see a metal crate hit him and crush him.
It's actually unclear if he died or not, his body wasn't shown, and the outsiders seemed pretty happy after the battle and no funeral was kept. In gears 4 people aren't dead until you see them die. Though he is a *carmine* so he's probably dead.

Lambancy was only a thing later on, people were initially transferred to New Hope for Rustlung, which technically was the first stage of lambancy but was initially fatal.

Karen Traviss has blown much needed life into a lot of sci-fi franchises with war grunts, she is a soldier whisperer and one of best authors around.
Star Wars, Halo, and Gears of war - I wouldn't be surprised if she's hired to bring her game to Mass Effect.
Looking back this series was one of the best I've played. I even liked Judgement even though I felt like it could've been better. They don't make couch co-op games like they used to.

I remember being a kid and seeing my brothers friend play gears 2 and at that moment I instantly wanted an xbox 360. The graphics and story blew my mind, gow is awesome!
What sucks is that Gears 5 ruins his Fact 52 and 53, because the locust are the miner's children, not the miners themselves and the reason the attack humans is because the locust queen’s (Myrrah, Reyna’s mother, Kait’s grandmother) husband stole their daughter (Reyna, Kait’s mom) and ran away because he no longer approved of Niles work. Nile's lied and told the locust queen that her husband and daughter died trying to escape, causing the Queen to start war on humanity.

52 isn't really explained well. the locust didn't evolve from lambent humans. It was that guy's research (forgot his name) and experiments on humans. he made sires from humans and they were the forefathers that evolved into the locust

He means Niles Samson, and you are both of partly right. The people first infected with imulsion sickness only created rust lung to start with, as this was before the imulsion evolved into the parasite it is in gears 3, so Niles was tasked with finding a cure whilst the current chairman kept it all quiet that imulsion was already toxic, so Niles developed a kind of vaccine or was at least giving it a go. This vaccine is what made the human minors mutate into what the sires are, however the subjects before the sires were taken to the top of Mount kadar and then the video explains the rest

I would have absolutely loved to see a game made on the Locust, I understand that you play as humans because.. We're humans, and it's more relatable that way. But if they made a game where you play as a Locust taking command of a sqaud, maneuvering through war torn streets and seeing the surface for the first time would be amazing. I'm really curious how the Locust infantryman works, and I'm curious to see if they share the same brotherhood for each other that human infantryman do, I really hope there's more emotion to it than just pure instinct,
I know the Locust were meant to be this "boogeyman," but I'd really like to see a game that goes into their lives, I'm just saying.. Fighting a failing war against the Lambent and then taking part in a massive invasion on the surface would be badass.
I just want more large scale warfare like what we got to see in Land down back in Gears 2, I want to see hundreds, if not thousands of combatants dueling it out, using every weapon, vehicle and tool available to their arsenals.
As big, and as brutal as humanly possible.. Just saying I think that would be pretty badass.
Anya was infertile because of emulsion exposure. After all lambency was wiped out at the end of Gears 3 she became fertile again. This was explained by Sera scientists performing experiments with emulsion on mice and finding those exposed and fewer/no litters.
General RAAM is also a guest fighter in season 3 of Killer Instinct!

well actually DB's arn't their own faction, the are practically the new deployable grunts of the cog now. they of Bairds creation but the new leader of the cog decided to make them both able to subdue and able to kill in the circumstances. they have 2 different types. when you first fight them in the game, they are they're to subdue but then as the game progresses, the new leader sends them on kill missions.

You don't have to shoot into the pipes to have the chicken appear. You can just press X to have Marcus or Dom if playing multiplayer campaign to yell down the pipes.
Marcus got his scar in prison from a dog that the guard released to attack all prisoners not in their cell for the guards entertainment...
Pendulum War lasts about 79 years. The Locust basicly came to exist during this time but in The Hollows. How did The Locust amass such huge numbers in such short time?

Actually Lambancy wasn't a thing until GoW 3. The sickness that we being researched was Rustlung, which then evolved into Lambancy.
this still doesnt explain how creaters such as brumaks, corpers, beserkers, reavers, and bloodmounts came to be. like how the hell did seeders come to be what are the orgins of the wretches and how the locust get the weaponry and armour they have. also how did the humans affected by imullsion become kantuses, boomers, and therons. and what are the orgins of the tickers.
shawn styles the locust are the descendants of the sires from gears 2.
im a year late, but i think all the others are just creatures that are naturally there. like the giant worm is supposed to be naturally a creature there, and it just explains that all the others like tickers and wretches and krill are just natural creatures of sera, just deep down in the hollow.
It's just a theory, there's no proof that the sires are related to the origins of the locust

Honestly I'd love that. I think it would be amazing to play a Gears game that shows the Locust perspective on everything, I want to see how a locusts squad performs throughout a conflict together, and how they view the COG.

Damn, I was just listening to some other person say GoW's ads are all pre-rendered videos with music over them, and while his point remains, the big fact that the original ad is literally made to record and run all in-game is something.

Melissa Waterman Actually, you are both correct. There is the Easter egg chicken (they show it in the video) but there is also an Easter egg gun you can find in GoW3 that is a boom shot, but it fires chickens! Pretty funny, go look it up if you’re interested. 🙂

fact 86 has to be wrong. no game franchise in history has "sold a billion copies", I'm assuming you meant made a billion dollars.

not even that, the halo series has only sold around 50 million copies, I doubt gears is even close to that, maybe 20 million at best across the 4 games.
