  • When you deviate from the world of cute and cuddly animals, things can get pretty hairy! Lions and tigers and bears, oh my? Well, how about a beast that contains the DNA of all three? And we’re not talking about the manticores or chimeras of myth. We’re talking about the real deal! Dr. Frankenstein and Dr. Moreau would be proud of what modern scientists have cooked up in their labs. So join us for today’s video, where we look at 15 scary hybrid animals!

The sad fact is that those hybrids are not healthy. It’s not meant to happen, but humans wanted to try it just because so they exist. It’s actual cruel to breed these hybrids.

True. It's also cruel to breed certain types of dogs like pugs and bulldogs. Retropugs are healthier and able to breathe, but the flat faced pugs and bulldogs have a hard time breathing and various health issues. Then you got people cutting off dog ears and tails for "looks": Its's sick.

How is it animal abuse? When they clone something they grab DNA from 2 animals that are dead or just put 2 breeds int eh same place, look after them and then the animals make a breed together, they are not being whipped or hit or anything. When the result comes out suffering it's called failing, they fail and the scientists find a way to upgrade it so they dont suffer at the poor hybrids. Failing is something normal, just because they are scientists doesnt mean they meant to make the animals suffer. They work on new ways so that one hybrid is created and they dont suffer.

@@user-xl8ib7ux6w Sorry, I went off on a tangent. As you can probably tell, I'm passionate about the way humans interact with animals. I cannot stand to see animals suffer for any reason. I was a vet tech, as well as a wildlife rehabilitator for many, many years. The suffering I've seen all kinds of animals endure at the hands of humans could fill a very large set of very thick books. I finally had to quit as a vet tech because it all became to much to endure. Many of the vets I have known & do know truly have a very hard time witnessing the things they're subjected to seeing each & every day. What you saw in FL is just the tip of the iceberg & not even remotely as awful as things are elsewhere.
We humans are hell bent on destroying everything we can in this world & the world too. Who knows how long it will take for humans to evolve beyond the most primitive, selfish & irresponsible attitudes & actions. I doubt we'll be around to see that happen if it happens. I just know the fact that you have compassion for those depressed big cats kept in tiny cages is a reason I have the hope that ppl like you will do what you can to eventually instigate change for the better.

The Asiatic lion used to be in Southern Asia before and that would have meant cross breeding was entirely possible naturally. Sadly as we ruined the natural habitat for almost every single species and slaughtered them over the last few hundred years. Lazy of the makers of the video not to point this out. A few clicks in google (avoiding fake news) lets you know this. Even the first video they show of the Liger talks about Lions and Tigers coexisting - it was on GAG Line app channel actually just posted the same clip with the audio less than a few weeks ago.

Zebras are no joke my old boss had one and at the time I met him (I was a kid my mom worked with them on and off before I was born and so on) he was aggressive AF, he's the only one they had and I believe he went to a sanctuary with other zebras but God damn! He would bite and kick when you tried to feed him, at least in the wild it works out for them sometimes!

All this time, it's scientists who are privately funded that are messing with all of nature in general just because they can and this cute little video barely scratches the surface. Concerning the video, it's cool as I was surprised to learn of the existence of certain animals but it's also very cruel to do so but I bet they didn't stop there.

I was skeptical at first, but the evidence is compelling. I read an article by a naturalist in the late 1800s. He was trying to pin down facts, and the Maine Coon Cat breed may well be the result of a hybrid cat/racoon mix in Maine. I'm an old retired zoo worker, and I can assure you,any accredited zoo would never raise hybrids.Even dog and cat breeders have a code of ethics when it comes to inbreeding resulting in dwarfism or chronic health problems. From what I've gathered, the raccoon/cat hybrid just happened naturally. With very little effort,I found many articles about a variety of strange hybrids.

Africanized bees (Killer bees) aren't hybrids as both parents species belong to the same genus and species so are still (Apis mellifera), but are different subspecies so are intergrades, they are a cross of European honey bee subspecies like the Italian honey bee (Apis mellifera ligustica) and the Iberian honey bee (Apis mellifera iberiensis) with the East African lowland honey bee (Apis mellifera scutellata), note the genus name (Apis) and the species name (mellifera) are the same, so are not hybrids, only the subspecies names are different so are intergrades.
