A couple of things to add, the number of training points you get are tied to the pet level and it's happiness, so a rank 6 loyalty lvl 60 pet will have the max training points, however... there will not be enough to train everything, there aren't even enough to train both natural armor and greater stamina to max rank, not to mention the resistances, most players will pick one special attack and usually greater stamina as natural armor won't mitigate magic damage. Also bad news for those taking Bite, because rank 8 bite can only be learned from the Blackrock Worgs inside Lower Blackrock Spire, so you have to form a full group and tell them that you intend to tame one of the worgs because if they just gather everything up and spam AOE they will break the tame channel. A cheeky trick you can use was shown in the video, drop a freezing trap before you start the tame and the pet will be frozen for a good portion preventing the damage you take. This is mandatory for elite level beasts unless you have a healer.
Super helpful notes! Definitely thank you for the extra tips! I'm not too familiar with 60 as of yet but it'll be great to add and update that as SoD goes on!
Thank you so much. Every other hunter guide just says "this is the easiest class in the game" and then just tells about the different pet classes. I played vanilla wow for years but never tried hunter before and the feeding and especially the ability learning was super confusing to me, but you made it very clear! Thanks a lot and hope to see you all on turtle wow when SOD gets boring!
@@SilverWF What does that even mean xD yes, I've played vanilla on private servers for years, that doesn't mean I must have 60'ed every single class and know them in and out?
hey man! thanks for the video helped me a lot!! but one QS: once ive learned bite and claw r3..does my pet automatically learn rank4 and so on by using it? like ur cat as example..or do i always need to get a pet which has a higher rank and do it again? THX BUDDY :D
You will need to go and hunt down every rank so you'll need to keep finding new pets with upgraded ranks, learn them, and then teach them to your other pets! Basically always have 1 slot open for learning ranks and 2 slots for your favorite pets you want forever 😊
Hey man, thx a bunch. As a bloody newbie, this really helps! Offtopic question though: How did you configure your own and targets' portraits like this (e.g. showing active effects directly next to the player and target portaits and hp/mana bars)?
@@woahnerdya to get it you need to put off getting flanking strike till after you do your lvl 10 hunter quests. Once you get flanking strike the bait stops dropping. It might be horde only or at least allies might need horde assistance.
Hey, sorry if I missed it in the video, but what is the best way to level up your pet? I got a ghost saber while I was level 25, but it's 20. Is running dungeons the most sufficient way?
Completely depends on your build. Some people like slow swing pets and some ultra fast For 1.0 speed, Broken Tooth Otherwise any cat or raptor will do, however, I was curious on what furious howl might do for wolves since it gives everyone an attack boost temporarily for a swing!
i just started a hunter and was able to tame a pet at lvl 6. Am I playing a different version of WoW?...I'm always confused when I see classic, vanilla, blah blah blah. Another question..I tamed a plainstrider and when it accepted me as master it seemed like it shrunk. Are they not normal sized?...did I imagine it?
@@ReptilioPlays oh i see you said it was Season of Discovery. I think I'm on retail. I haven't played in 8 years and some of it is coming back to me and other stuff confuses me. Thanks :). definitely need more updated version each phases since the best pets changes time to time with each released content back in vanilla. eg, in the end bats from ZG is superior to any other pets due screech, dive and huge atk speed. Hi , this is just about wow clasic ? I can’t find pet tab in dragonfly
Yes, this is just for WoW classic as these features were removed in a later expansion
Great video, bud! Good stuff! :)
