The fact that Sadie Sink (redheaded actress) was wearing a promise/purity ring until that scene in the bedroom, and then the very next scene he dumps her… You can see her mouthing, “That’s it?” and I think the sequencing has to be deliberate, y’know? There’s a great behind the scenes video about her directing this that shows how much care she put into everything. I’m fairly confident “The Manuscript” is about the emotional experience of directing this short film thirteen years after this relationship. That might be a good one to check out, especially now that you know about their age gap and all. (Not as bad as her age gap with John Mayer… 19 x 32, a 13 year age gap. Rather than 20-21 x 29-30, a 9 year age gap. Both kinda make my skin crawl, though, being 35. You would not catch me dating that young. When people talk about the age difference, its not just the age difference its the experience difference. When you are young & relatively inexperienced, you don't know about the honeymoon phase. Not really. You dont know that for a lot of people thats their drug of choice. So they chase that, only to pull away or check out once the shiny, high is gone. For some people, that intense, dopamine fueled stage is what love is and they can't really handle the ebbs and flows of long term love. I think for young people in the girl's position in this video who dont have any experience to compare it to, it feels so real, so fast. It feels like everything you've ever read about. You are in the bubble. In the lavender haze. For people in the guy's position, who know its just a phase, its different. Its infatuation & fun. So they are sincere when they are soaking it up. They feel better about themselves because they didnt say the L word. So they can tell themselves they didnt take advantage or lead them on. That this is the point of flings- to have that intense rush of connection - for a liitle bit. Experienced people know this and sometimes agree to play, but acknowledging it can spoil the "falling in love" & "playing house" fantasy. And lets face it- its easier to get that rush with more inexperienced partners. People who don't really get the way the game goes. Anyways, really enjoyed stumbling on your reaction and your insight. Did you notice how many long, uninterrupted takes there were? That kitchen scene, there's a loooong stretch that's a single take and most of it was improvised. These actors did such a good job.

I had a boyfriend who I thought I was surely going to marry like less than 6 months in. My family came to know him, my parents had been together like almost 30 years at this point, my brother married his junior high school sweetheart and I have no doubt in my mind that he’s like never been with another girl because they were so ride or die for eachother. well on my dads birthday where I had invited him, my whole family kept asking me where he was, including my brothers new wife whom I’ve known for years at this point, only seeing couples who stay together through thick and thin, and he told me he couldn’t come because he was going to hang out with this other girl who was just a “friend”. A new friend whose number he got in a drive thru. He had friends that were girls and I had met them all he had never not shown up because of them. So I had to tell my family he wasn’t coming because he is hanging out with another girl. I will never forget that for the rest of my life. It was one of the most humiliating things I’ve ever had happen to me before. Everyone just stood there like oh….not knowing what to say. Then comes the “you deserve better” “he doesn’t deserve you” none of which helps. Nothing made it better. He finally told me one day after I invited him over that he didn’t love me anymore. He should’ve just gotten it over with that day. I was so in love I still saw him after he hung out with another girl. It’s crazy what love will do. And it’s crazy what people will do once they know they have that power over you. It’s so wrong. 😢 thing is. He tried to come back later and apologize. It was never ever the same. I ended it with him this time. This was years down the road too. The betrayal is never forgotten and it’ll taint everything in its path.

Totally possible. My husband and I met at the end of September and were married by the end of December. This year we will be celebrating 22 years of marriage. The whole thing was magical even though it could have not been more “ordinary” and we are still going strong to this day. So yes, I believe that kind of experience, when in love, is very much real.

I met a guy when I was 17, and he was 20. Total love at first sight. Worked at the record store next to my work, the photo shop. Madly in love. Spent every day for the next 2 1/2 years together, until he decided to take off and try to find his bio parents. 5 years later, we end up back together for 2 years. It was pretty sad to hear that Jake is losing his eyesight. That part of the song that he was "a little kid with glasses in a twin-sized bed" hits differently. Jake was a bad boyfriend, Mayer was a bad human.
During the argument scene, Taylor used Dylan to pile on the dishes just as he was piling more of his gaslighting and more ways to make her feel awful about herself. Unfortunately this was a real story- even the scarf that he kept. He tried to make her a secret girlfriend but she was in love and wanted to tell people. He claimed that it was their age difference (among other things), but he kept dating 20-something year olds well into his late 30’s. Just a jerk who wanted her spotlight on him. Exactly like Travis Kelce is doing this very instant. I wish she could see it but she’s been with him for almost a year now but he’s very unsupportive while she’s helped him in every aspect of his life (and he barely ever says her name!). It’s so infuriating that he just keeps taking but never giving. She performed a concert in Japan the day before the Super Bowl in 2023. She ran to the airplane, slept a little bit and made it on time. He’s never made her a priority anything as close to how she does for him. I just want her to realize that he’s using her to help him get a career in entertainment after his NFL career ends in 2 years. She’s helped him get 2 shows on tv with friends of hers, but he has never acknowledged that she helped him. He acts like this was all him. Narcissist with a huge ego and teeny brain. He’s going to lose one of the most caring, loving, genuine and generous people he’ll ever meet. And I cannot wait for that reality to hit him.

Review I did something bad live reputation tour
It made me look at Jake Gyllenhaal completely differently.
It's not as bad as John Mayer, though. There are a couple songs that I love so much they get a pass, but when his name comes up on the radio I cringe. All I think of when I see his name now is "You were 33! She was 19!!!"

It was pretty sad to hear that Jake is losing his eyesight. That part of the song that he was "a little kid with glasses in a twin-sized bed" hits differently. Jake was a bad boyfriend, Mayer was a bad human.

During the argument scene, Taylor used Dylan to pile on the dishes just as he was piling more of his gaslighting and more ways to make her feel awful about herself. Unfortunately this was a real story- even the scarf that he kept. He tried to make her a secret girlfriend but she was in love and wanted to tell people. He claimed that it was their age difference (among other things), but he kept dating 20-something year olds well into his late 30’s. Just a jerk who wanted her spotlight on him. Exactly like Travis Kelce is doing this very instant. I wish she could see it but she’s been with him for almost a year now but he’s very unsupportive while she’s helped him in every aspect of his life (and he barely ever says her name!). It’s so infuriating that he just keeps taking but never giving. She performed a concert in Japan the day before the Super Bowl in 2023. She ran to the airplane, slept a little bit and made it on time. He’s never made her a priority anything as close to how she does for him. I just want her to realize that he’s using her to help him get a career in entertainment after his NFL career ends in 2 years. She’s helped him get 2 shows on tv with friends of hers, but he has never acknowledged that she helped him. He acts like this was all him. Narcissist with a huge ego and teeny brain. He’s going to lose one of the most caring, loving, genuine and generous people he’ll ever meet. And I cannot wait for that reality to hit him.
I think you are missing info. He's been hyping her up since the beginning, he shouts her out all the time on his podcast and interviews, and he respects what private info she wants let out into the world. I'm no Travis Stan and even if he's doing it for selfish reasons, to say he's not been supportive publicly is just false 🧏♀️
