Looks like a very flimsy breakwater before the breach: sand & soil will just wash away again. Bits falling off left bank as he tries to fix the other side.
Lucky the land is so flat and the water wasn't flowing too fast. I wouldn't have liked his chances of closing that if the water had been running downhill with some speed.
Should had hauled in more rock on both sides before trying to breach the blowout! Then use two dozers on each side. To close the hole. This way you don’t weaken the dike even more.
Oh you are right. Except, if you bothered to read the header. Colorado river, canals. And looked at the background. You might have figured out this is sw Arizona. rocks are quite scarce here. And waiting for that second dozer would have wasted time. Canal breaks are not planed in advance, hauling in rock and having dozers standing by is not realistic
@@SPUDHOME even working beside a river with all the right equipment, dozer, rock trucks and excavators it's "stop that break NOW!!" Plow, load dump. Figure out what you're loading after
It's a good man that can compact water .
The good ole shovel has multiple uses, and using it to prop yourself when you need a break is one of them.
You would think they would have more ROCK in there? It’s the ROCKY MOUNTAINS. Rock does erode from underneath as much as silt, sand and soil.
They use rock both side bank for erosion.Look like soft dirt.the dozer best stop this mess but need materials.😮
Wow amazing 🤩
❤🍎🍎🍎
Good and they should have more truck to speed up adding land
wow amazing 👍
keep working !! and i hope u succes 🎉🎉
Should have tried to build up a stockpile close to the breach and then dozed it all in at the last moment.
Amazing that they actually closed that breach with sand. Nice work!
Wow ❤ Nice video😍
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!

Blowouts are always a challenge as the water works against you when trying to close the hole. Well done speed is the answer I WILL SUBSCRIBE 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Good luck

Несколько мешков с землёй - и всё.
If it washed out once it'll wash out again.Amazing
How easy sand washes away
@@kipbreitmeyer8517 And it has, third time this year!
@@zanjero Can't you get some rip rap from somewhere around there?
I wonder where this was??
For the type on soil we have out here, the Dozer hand did a heck of a job.
