fernando perdomo : Really? (Honest question. ) I saw Tommy with the Q only three times. Absolutely the most entertaining drummer to watch I can think of. But this new kid does just fine. I'm only two shows into the new lineup but I hope to get back.
This is so dumb. Big Al is alive and well and this band sounds plastic without him. Terry. This is not NRBQ. Why don't you make up with Al and give the people what they really want?
I never saw the band with Big Al so my two cents may not even add up to two cents. But I've seen the the last couple incarnations many times. I've certainly listened to a lot of the Al era stuff, love it, and it's what got me out to see the band in the first place. And I'm grateful. I find this line up are all solid masters, stay true to the Q thing, and are accessible. I can go see them, feel the magic, and soak up Terry doing his thing. I find nothing "dumb" or "plastic" about what they do and, in fact, find brilliance and humanity. I think a great many of "the people" want to go out and hear great musicians play great songs. This is that.
These guys are good but after growing up with the Q (I was 15 when I first saw them and am 61 now), there will NEVER be a better band than lineup Big Al, Joey and our beloved Tommy. That was a dynamic that is impossible to repeat. I should know, I have seen them hundreds of times.... Big Al aint' comin' back, can tell you that right now. Tom Staley and Steve Ferguson were also amazing in the very early beginnings. I was fortunate enough to see them and see Al playing on state with Steve. This band now should be called anything but NRBQ
@@susand7221 I've known plenty of Susan's, and let me tell you, you don't come close to any other Susan I've known. You should be called anything but Susan - you don't deserve the name Susan.
Such a sneaky great song. It's been a fave of mine since Peek-a-boo came out. Nice to hear that they're still doing it.
Sheer pop genius. How could I live 45 years without knowing this amazing band?
I've always loved them n saw them probly 50 times in the seventies !
This is a GREAT song, and a GREAT band.

@@ericemig1755 Yes, it is. As far as anyone knows, they were purchased by the band sometime between 1982 and 1984.

Thanks to me girlfriend at that time!

This NRBQ lineup is good as any NRBQ lineup.

@@susand7221 three cheers to someone who was there. This is nothing like NRBQ, despite terry playing in it. Yuck.
