    Good work !!!
    You're almost the only NHL youtuber who posts gameplay and not pack openings. I'm learning all the mechanics as a new player and theres barely any real tips videos out there to help, only pack openings
    Keep it going and thanks for the content

      I think packs are a scam to be honest. I don't want to encourage youth to go out and spend money on something that probably won't reward them back.

    Great video - but you forgot an important disclaimer - live close to the servers. Nothing will have a bigger impact on your ability to play offense or defense than your proximity to the game server vs your opponent. Those subtle little moves people make which will determine if you've made a good or bad read - the eon of time it takes for your player to react if you're connected to the wrong server or even player switching appropriately. If you have 35 ping and the opponent has 4 ping - figure out where the 4 ping player lives and frantically drive to their house - because the only way to win that game is to pull their ethernet cord before the match ends.

    • @Sapsterr
      @Sapsterr  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Servers are an unfortunate advantage.
      We wouldn't have needed them if people didn't abuse it.
      However I know some very good players who play on high ping (OwnTheBlue, John Wayne) who play on 45+ ping and succeed.

    • @superdaveosborn23
      @superdaveosborn23 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@Sapsterr it's a nightmare for me. I cannot enjoy any "improvements" they make. Typically new animations for a high ping player is just another reason your player didn't gain possession while the opponent did. Which doesn't help player numbers.
      After 15 years playing this game I can't tell if I'm a good or bad player anymore. Wins feel hollow because I clearly had the ping advantage and loses are merciless because I never got to play - just watch.

    One of the biggest tips is to adjust strategies in game accordingly to what your opponent is doing. If all they do is try to pass their way past you in hopes for that split second break away, play full trap and protect net. If they like to puck rag, play staggered and normal/puck side attack.

    Hi SAP Great video, but have you change your defensive strategies since that time? last question, is Neutral Zone 1-3-1 better than 1-4? I feel like 1-4 when they enter my zone I have no last line of defense if my opponent breaks through my blue line.

    The incidental contact is way to much. Players would move out of the way when you skate into them in real life. They need to make ai smarter because it’s stupid and this year is far worse than prior years

  • @jpm7049
    @jpm7049 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I get smothered so badly by some players that I can barely break into the red zone, guessing it’s bcuz of strategies like these. But those guys also seem to be able to magnetically strip the puck from me. No poke check, stick lift or bumping even. Any advice??? They get within an arms length of me and the puck is just gone. Also seems like for no reason at all the other team is so much faster than me. Even if I’m using a team with faster players. This often happens after I win a few, but the opponent rating won’t even be that high, 400-500s. It’s like the game AI knocks you down a peg after some success. There’s too much going on behind the scenes in this game sometimes.

    if you're not willing to share the counter to every strat then this info is useless because the game is won and lost first and foremost with strats. you wont have speed or skating room to actually more around and play the game... if you notice when playing players that know this you will have their forechecker on your ass throughout the whole game. it is the strat and the opposing player constantly changing them... no channel will broach this topic of the up and down buttons.

      I know you score other goals and not hating on someone for playing the game they made. But practicing those glitches is the biggest difference anyone can make in their record if all they want to do is win.
      When you win 5-3 against a guy who doesn’t know or doesn’t use them and 2-3 of your goals are those plays and that’s the difference between 20-0 and 15-5 in this game.
