When installing speaker disconnects for the saddle bags do you make the disconnect for them under the seat or in the bag? I’m using deutsch. Style waterproof connectors.
What brand of amp power disconnect do you run when installing an amp in the bag? And what RCA brand for for the run from the head unit to the saddle bag amp?
Depends how many watts the amp is For 4 gauge we use the stinger marine, quick disconnect for 8 gauge we use xt 150 The rca we use custom 4 pin connectors and we cut and solder The rca
brandon / brembo dossantos technically it doesn’t fit . The amp was not mounted , it was held with wire ties . Without the customer’s consent they cut off the 2 sides of the radio tray that hold the inner sides of the speaker pods , so now the pods can not be bolted on the sides for extra support only to the fairing . The correct way to do this is with the BikeTronics pod delete ( I have it on my street glide ) garagebaggerstereo.com/products/bt114-speaker-brackets-for-2014-and-up-eg?_pos=1&_sid=a17b55a8b&_ss=r If you do the pod delete kit then the xd 600.6 will fit and the fairing will be fully supported. I do a full explanation in tonight’s video.
Paul Hewson you cant mount the xd600.6 on the tray without cutting off the sides of the tray . The amp doesn’t fit . With a smaller amp I would agree with you . Plus this amp was so big they couldn’t mount it , they ended up using wire ties.
Looking forward to the after rescue video. 800.1 and 800.4. Question 4 U. Will the stock battery and charging system handle that? Im thinking about 1600W not sure of the configuration just yet. Leaning towards SPL show drivers, or Diamond Audio. Thanks in advance!!
The stock battery is good for up to 1200 watts We recommend the stringer Harley Davidson battery for up to 1600 watts and the Braille lithium for anything over 2000 watts
George Oliver I’m most definitely sorry for your experience and it makes all the shops in Atlanta myself Included look bad. Carlos is a close friend and mentor to me and I know he will get you taken care of most definitely.
George Oliver Eric from Markland designs of Atlanta is my guy in Georgia . If you have any issues down the road don’t hesitate to go see him . He will get you taken care of and I will Ship him anything you need .
Man and this crap is coming from JL dealers. You get in trouble selling JL on internet off you are a dealer or whatever but you can be a dealer putting out this type of work. Pathetic. Shame on the shop also. I hope they watch your videos and recognize this work as there so they can realize how pathetic they are. There is bad or bad choices etc then there is this shit. Installers disregarding impedance loads on manufacturers equipment.🤦🏽♂️. Well at least this shit keeps us employed. Great job Carlos to your and the crew.
You are a rock star...man, do I wish you had a shop in Cincinnati.

What amp tray was used?
How is that amp mounted i didn know u can fit a xd 600 in side the faring of a street glide
Mount it on a tray w/ stand offs for heat dissapation then attach mounting tray to saddlebag handle hardware
The shop in Atlanta did not mount the amp to a proper amp mount. It was flopping around under the fairing.

Very disappointed with the shop in Atlanta. They had the bike for almost a month and this is what was returned to me. I’m very grateful for NVS Audio.
